  1. Yes. I played around with Ryzen Master software at this time but I was trying to fix it in the BIOS settings. Turns out that Ryzen Master apparently somehow overwrites your BIOS voltage settings (not your CPU frequency though) when you boot so you won't be able to see that your voltage is off unless you open Ryzen Master application. Turned out my voltage was waaaaaaaaay too low for 3.8GHz (not sure what stock voltage is but I think it was set to 1.125V which appears extremely low). I honestly don't remember ever using that value so I assume I accidentally activated a template profile. I just had to reset my Ryzen Master settings to default and then overclock my CPU with correct voltage by using the BIOS. Bottom line: Check your voltage again and stick to one or the other overclocking method. And try to check your voltage from different sources. My BIOS was set to the correct voltage but the software yoinked it somehow
  2. Hey guys, I recently bought a new mainboard (MSI B450 Tomahawk) and since then my PC just randomly turns off. It doesn't really turn off though. It looks like my GPU just gets turned off for some reason. My monitors don't receive any signal but fans are still spinning and the light is still on. The CPU LED on my mainboard turns on at this moment. This mostly happens when I play Battlefield V or Battlefront 2 for 5-10 minutes but also has happened during playing Anno 1800 for at least 2 hours already. I have already logged my sensor data but according to them, everything is just fine. There are no temp peaks on GPU or CPU nor voltage loss. I had Prime 95 run for 19 hours without errors and the FurMark stress test for 1 hour without crashing. I have also reinstalled my drivers already and tried with clean overclocking and undervolting settings. Nothing helped so far. Does anyone have an idea what could be the problem here? Please let me know and ask further questions if I missed some information. Specs: MSI B450 Tomahawk (2 weeks old) Ryzen 5 1600 @3800MHz (2 years old) RX Vega 64 Strix OC (2 months old) 16GB Corsair Vengeance @2666MHz (first stick 2 years old, second stick 6 months old) Thermaltake Toughpower GF1 650W PSU (2 months old)
  3. So I just noticed that my task manager was saying I am using 3 physical cores and only 6 threads. Does anyone know how to enable all 6 cores in the MSI B450 Tomahawk BIOS? Or maybe they died for some reason but it would be nice to see confirmation somewhere. I can only find a status in my bios which sais I have 6 cores but not if they are enabled or not.
  4. Is there some sort of guide to do this? Which pads I have to replace and where to find them and what pads I need.
  5. So there are multiple problems going on: I am running a Ryzen 1600 @3.8GHz on an ASUS Prime B350 Plus Motherboard with Vega 64 ROG STRIX GPU and 16GB Corsair LPX 2666MHz RAM. Until now my PC hits the estimated performance just fine. Then the Motherboard broke and I replaced it with a new one: MSI B450 Tomahawk. I also replaced the thermal paste while rebuilding the computer. Now the performance is lower than ever. I don't even hit 75FPS in Overwatch on normal settings with 100% renderscale in 1080p gaming. While logging the GPU sensor data with GPU-Z I noticed that my GPU never crosses 600MHz clockspeed and chills around 45-50°C with fans stopped. CPU working around 65-70°C at this time. I ran Furmark and Prime 95 after that without a restart to look if they are bad too. Turns out I hit a perfect Furmark benchmark result with my GPU working at maximum load and Prime 95 running for 18 hours straigt without problems. Due to the new motherboard issue I had problems reactivating my Windows 10 so I had the Windows watermark almost the entire time (vanished and reappeared randomly for a few minutes). Now I finally managed to reactivate my windows and looking at Overwatch once again I now get around 130 FPS with the same settings. The only change I made to go from 75 FPS to 130 FPS was activating my Windows license. Is it possible that Windows is actually throtteling down the computer performance? 130 FPS is still not reasonable for my System since I got 250 on absolutely maxed out settings before changing my motherboard. So does anyone have an idea what is still pulling me down here? I already uninstalled the AI Suite and ES Flash software which came with my old motherboard but they keep coming up in my taskbar even though I can't find any directories of them on my computer. Any Ideas on how to get rid of this? Hope you can do something with all the information. Many things at a time here which is why I tried to describe it as detailed as possible. I hope you can help me. Thanks a lot
