  1. I think it’s because of the amount of boards that they have to produce a BIOS for. Hopefully they will release the actual versions soon.
  2. I have it up and running on version E7B85AMS.17M. MSI say that they have a release version planned on their forums but no timescale. They must be planning on releasing it in the coming weeks because there will be thousands of people upgrading to 3rd gen on X470, B450 etc. The only issue I am having is with the BIOS and saving CPU voltage settings. It just gets stuck and I have to clear the CMOS everytime I change CPU settings. I will hope for the best but if they don't have a full release in a timely manner, then I will just buy an X570 when I can.
  3. Hopefully within the next few weeks or I’ll have to return this B450 board to Amazon and buy a new X570 or something. Thanks for your help anyway.
  4. I have that one installed. I just went to try and change voltage of CPU from auto which is currently at 1.45V to 1.3V and the CPU LED just came on. I had to clear CMOS to get it back on. Any ideas?
  5. There is 7B85v16 which is the latest AMI BIOS? However, just above that there is a BETA BIOS for AMD Ryzen 300 sereies CPU which says click here. I have installed that one. What is the 7B85v16 version? Is this the one I should have installed? I currently have the one installed with a god awful UI.
  6. The problem is I don't know what the newest BIOS actually is. I've messaged MSI and see if they respond. Am I right in assuming that MSI will release BIOS updates for this board in the coming weeks which are optimised for this B450 board?
  7. I am up and running with E7B85AMS.17M and it works. It's just a beta BIOS and has a legacy UI and not the modern UI with all the settings etc. I don't want to update to 7B85v16 and have it cause problems if people don't know for sure.
  8. I updated BIOS to E7B85AMS.17M. However, on the motherboards support page it has 7B85v16 listed. I don't know which one I should be running. I used BIOS FLACKBACK as I didn't have a previous gen Ryzen.
  9. All of the display-ports on my GIGABYTE RTX 2080 have stopped working, would this be down to a BIOS issue? I was also wondering as to whether I was on the correct BIOS version? I currently have installed E7B85AMS.17M but 7B85v16 is listed in the BIOS support section on the MSI website? If anyone here is using this motherboard and CPU combination, how do you have your system setup?
  10. As title says I currently only have 3000MHz RAM but reading the specifications on the AMD website it says: System Memory Specification 3200MHz. Is my current RAM going to be an issue until I am able to upgrade?
  11. Where are people from the UK buying Ryzen 3000 purchasing from? I can't see any listings on Amazon yet.
  12. Just had a thought run through my mind that the coolant would build up at the bottom and congeal.
  13. Waiting for new Ryzen 3000 and just wanted to know if the cooler will be alright like this for 3-4 days? Thanks.
  14. I understand that it needs a BIOS update but I thought that you were able to put the chip in and still update? I need to get the shop to update the BIOS for me as I don't have any Ryzen chips lying around.
  15. I thought that the B450 boards didn't need a BIOS update for the CPU to work with the board straight out of the box?
  16. Don’t really want to spend hundreds on the new AM4 boards. What would be the best B450 board in £ to purchase?
  17. Your going to use a 970 for another 3-5 years? I've gone from a 960 > 1060 > 1070ti > 2080 in the last few years. I wish that I could stop myself from constantly buying new components and hold out like you. But then again I enjoy having a 2k 144hz monitor with steady frames.
  18. IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL is usually caused by conflicting memory locations if I recall correctly. If you go to System Information > Hardware Resources > Conflicts/Sharing you will be able to see a list of conflicting memory addresses. Another solution would be if you have a system restore point or image you could revert to. If you do I would suggest reverting back to this. If not, a complete OS reinstall would be ideal. Just make sure you backup anything important.
  19. No problem was just wondering if you had taken one out. I thought you had just gone extremely overkill but if it was the same price why not. Did this fix anything?
  20. Do you have an overclock applied aswell? If you do restore BIOS overclocking settings to default and see if it continues crashing.
  21. No graphics card? 1000W PSU for just an i5?
  22. I've been wanting to know this. I'm based in the UK and haven't heard anything from any local providers like CCL. Hopefully it will be soon as I want to know how much money I need to set aside. Not sure if I am going to get a new X570 board or just buy a B450.
  23. If your using Windows 10 and have set it up using a Microsoft Account that password will no longer work as your probably not connected to the Internet. You will have been asked to setup a pin when setting up Windows.
