Hey, I have a ryzen 5 3600, 1660 super, 16gb ram on a b450 tomahawk max and 650w PSU. 
I want something new so I get more FPS. I asked some questions about a new GPU but people told me that the r5 3600 won't be able to reach 240fps. So i thought about getting a new CPU. Can you tell me what's the best way to increase my FPS by getting something new(hardware)?

No reason to upgrade unless you like the new look and want to start fresh. The performance issues with AMD were fixed and as for FPS in general, I'm getting the same or in some cases more FPS on Win 11. I would adives against upgrading through Windows update though. You are better off with a fresh install.

IPS Glow is specific to IPS panels, but on other types of panels (especially pronounced on curved displays) you can have backlight bleed, which looks similar but occurs for a different reason. So what you're most likely seeing is backlight bleed due to the curvature of the screen.

Would require a mod that sooner or later the game might detect in the update and revert you back. You just have to get used to it. Also better get used to flashbangs removing the HUD, cause they do that too. 

That's just something you have to get used to. After playing for a while you just know if someone you shot at is dead or not. Afaik you cannot use the DM kill sound.

Just saw your "new PC" thread. With your components go for a 1080p panel. At 1080p i'd recommend 24" because of PPI like you already mentioned. One very good monitor for this spec is the AOC 24G2 if it's in stock and not completely overpriced. It should be at 180-250 $ for it to be worth it.

No there should not be , I have a 2600 and a 1660 and I don't get any bottlenecks.

If youre gaming go 2600+2060KO/super for better performance. a 500, 550, or 600 watt psu should be fine

ur cpu way better than u need with 1660, get ryzen 5 2600x and save 100bucks or just wait till mid summer for amd's thrid gen ryzen chips. But no bottleneck. games can only use 4 cores nowdays so its pointless to get 8core processor, if u are only planning to game.

Get rx 580 8gb. DO UR RESEARCH BY URSELF. go watch a vid on youtube about 1060 vs 1660. 
 
ps. only time im helping u, if u dont do research urself first. but 1660 way better. on average 1660 performs 15fps better at everything maxed fulll hd

Yes. Or no. Depends on what you want to do with it and on what CPU cooler you will use it.
The Spire cooler is what usually comes with a 1700 (non X), from what I can remember and it cooled mine pretty well without any overclock. A light overclock is also possible to do on that cooler.
 
Of course the noise is a bit higher than a bigger tower cooler, but that is a given with the size of the cooler.

As with any overclocking device though, you'll want a suitable cooler.

Around 75w for the Ryzen 7 2700 (non X) and about 125w for the GTX 1660. Overclocking the Ryzen 2700 will probably put it around the 2700x power consumption which is about 100-110w or so. Even with CPU OC the system should be under 250w or so for the whole system.

Most decent PSUs start at 450w or higher anyway so I would say 450w is where you should be looking.

Nah, a decent 550W unit is more than sufficient.

lol sorry, for some reason i read 1080 xD, indeed 550w is enough, 650 if you want headroom for upgrading to another gpu of sorts (like 1080)

you can oc, but an "aftermarket" cooler is needed when you want to get every last bit of performance
