i had become more wary of his bad personal takes at least since the "blocking ads is piracy" and "trust me bro" debacles but was under the impression the data in his videos and more importantly his own word could still be trusted. turns out neither are true. very disappointing as someone who built their first PC in 2014 with help from linus videos.

linus assassinated himself with his actions and ridiculous response. it is good that steve is shining a light on this behaviour and not standing for it. it's silly that you and many others seem to believe the correct response was for steve to just ring up his mate linus and let him know he's being a bit of a tit instead of correctly making the audience aware of linus's behaviour. not sure why you'd like them to just collude to continue to cover up their wrongdoings.

yep. the "we received a quote" is nothing but a lie. they only said the value of the prototype, they never gave any quote which i imagine should be higher than just the cost of the prototype itself since it being missing has caused them production issues and such. just shows linus's arrogance the fact that he thought he could just rush out a quick reply on the forums with lies sprinkled in and then shove this under the rug and never address it again.

quite shocking, made even worse by the fact that it seems linus's response was specifically worded to mislead people into thinking this was previously settled with billet labs prior to the GN video.

hopefully pressures LTT to give a proper video response that is more thought out that Linus's post on here

It doesn't give any particular details about the errors, just how many were detected. I think this is usually a sign of an unstable overclock but I'm not running any overclock.

I am having issues with my Ryzen 3600 CPU after installing it on a new X570 motherboard. Recently both my PSU and mobo suddenly died so I replaced them. I bought an MSI x570 unify with plans to put a Zen 3 chip in there when they release, but when I went to test temps with OCCT it reported that it detected hundreds of errors during the test, this is at stock BIOS settings. I also tried everything stock except PBO off and the errors still appear on OCCT as well as XMP on/off. Is this something I should worry about if the system otherwise performs fine and is stable? And what could be the cause? Thank you.

when my PSU died in a similar fashion i only had to replace the PSU and all other components were fine.
