  1. I had tried underclocking both GPU and Memory clock with power consumption using MSI Afterburner already (this was one of the things I had mentioned in my tom's hardware thread). It just made me feel like the problem was gone for a few days and then it become as frequent as before without the underclocking. I guess I'll just throw it away. Thanks for trying to help!
  2. It's a hardware issue. I had done many tests to determine and confirm whether it's a hw or a sw issue. Tried replacing the thermal paste multiple times, reinstalling drivers using DDU, replacing my PSU, reinstalling OS and much more. I had listed down all the things I did on tom's hardware but I can't find that thread anymore, but that list had a lot more tests that what I described just now. And btw thanks for posting a reply worth replying to—unlike the rest of the replies on this thread.
  3. I have a Zotac GeForce GTX1060 3GB that occasionally turns display off and starts running at 100% fan speed. (which later requires reboot for the display to work again). Not under warranty either. So it is like somewhat useable but not really. What do you suggest to do with this?
  4. I do not have an AIO cooler. I mentioned that in my last sentence. I know I'm blocking airflow. I just want to know if bubble wrap can damage the other components or not.
  5. I have bubble wrap on top of the case because there are holes on top of the case for the AIO cooler fan (I assume) and I'm worried if some water accidentally gets inside the case from those holes. I'm not clumsy but I don't want to take risks. I also have an external HDD on top of the case (on top of the bubble wrap now) so is it bad for the PC? If so, what can I put to cover those holes? I feel I should also mention that I do not have an AIO cooler.
  6. I'm soon going to shift from an i3 6100 to Ryzen 7 3700x so I'm aware of the fact that i'll have to re-install windows (because motherboard change) and I may or may not be able to go boot to win 10 from the old partition. So what's the best way to backup my old windows 10 partition so that at least i'll get all programs, their settings and registries seamlessly transferred to my newly partitioned Win 10? Any extra tips for upgrading from an Intel processor to AMD will be appreciated, same for Nvidia to AMD because I'm thinking of switching from GTX 1060 3GB to RX 5700
  7. Currently, I've been using iBall Nirantar UPS-621V 600VA for 2 years and it works just fine. My current rig is: CPU: Intel Core i3 6100 GPU: GTX 1060 3GB RAM: Crucial 8GB DDR4 2133MHz PSU: Corsair VS Series VS450 - 450 Watt Motherboard: MSI H110M Pro-VH Socket LGA 1151 In future, I'm going to upgrade to Ryzen 3700x (won't be overclocking it) with RTX 2070 and Corsair's VS550 PSU. (not sure about motherboard yet) so is my current UPS good enough for the upgrade or does it have to be upgraded too in order to avoid sudden power outage otherwise it'd defeat the purpose of having a UPS in the first place. Or will it not turn my computer on at all?
  8. Hello, I was using a perfectly fine tool (called NetSpeedMonitor) to monitor my internet speeds from taskbar that I had no issues with until 1903 update arrived. Now that the light theme changes the color of the taskbar, it has turned into an issue. I use another tool called "Auto Dark Mode" that automatically changes the dark theme to light one based on system time (which works great and is in active development) but the fact that NetSpeedMonitor's font color stays the same and have to be changed manually is a bummer. Tried emailing the developer but his email was either incorrect or simply dead. His social media activities are also decade old and the tool itself was updated a decade ago. So is there another tool for monitoring network speeds from the taskbar that DOES change color depending on time? Thanks in advance
  9. But what if the 3700x is not overclocked? will the B450 motherboards be the best budget option for it?
  10. I have a Dell 24 inch Monitor that I purchased on 26 Dec 2018. Just today, out of nowhere, a black pixel appeared at the upper side of the screen. I tried UndeadPixel 2.2 Tool thinking its a stuck pixel which can be removed in a couple of hours, but then again, a black pixel could be a dead pixel rather than a stuck pixel, but after a while, I observed that turning the screen off and back on turned the position of the dead/stuck pixel by a few pixels. That gave me confirmation that there is no dead pixel. But now how do I remove this stuck pixel that keeps moving after turning the screen on and off? Edit: It is visible in: Red (becomes pink) Green White Yellow Doesn't appear when changed to Blue (and Black of course) And I think the stuck pixel is not moving, it's the flash window of the UndeadPixel that slightly shifts when I turn on/off the display but I have nothing to measure it properly. Edit2: After hours of running undeadpixel, the stuck pixel is now not visible behind red, blue and black. Should I keep doing what I'm doing? will it eventually get normal? It looks blue/black on green bg, and red on white and yellow bg.
  11. Thanks for the reply. My Rig: CPU: Intel Core i3 6100 GPU: GTX 1060 3GB RAM: Crucial 8GB DDR4 2133MHz PSU: Corsair VS Series VS450 - 450 Watt Motherboard: MSI H110M Pro-VH Socket LGA 1151 And I came to know years after that the 3GB variant is one of the most disliked GPUs of all time (at least from what I've heard) I somewhat understand why, because the GPU is indeed capable of playing AAA games at "High" or maybe even "Very High" settings but always gets limited by VRAM, which is very frustrating especially while rendering in blender using "GPU Compute" option as I can't render the image as I run out of memory, If I use CPU for rendering (which is crazy stupid if you have an i3 6th gen) then it makes use of system memory (8GB) I should've built a productivity-oriented PC as I edit videos more than I play games; editing on i3 is not so pleasing, might switch to R7 3rd gen and Navi GPU in Q4. Sorry for going off-topic but which PSU do you recommend if I go for Ryzen 3700X with RTX 2070 or Ryzen 3700X with GTX 1660 Ti? And what's the best way to clean the GPU except the compound replacing procedure? Like, since 2016, I've been just blowing out all the dust from the GPU using a Rubber Air Pump from the sides and from the face of its fan while it is connected to the motherboard (still a lot of dust gets removed that way) but I want to confirm if it is a good enough method to clean your GPU if you're cleaning once every 1 or 2 months.
  12. So, in 2016, I saw a video in which ZOTAC GTX 1060 3GB variant was recommended for a decent gaming GPU for my first ever gaming PC Build's budget, so I bought it. However, I keep feeling like the performance is a bit off in 2019. I want to change its thermal paste but I'm too afraid to accidentally damage the PCB. So should I contact Zotac to re-apply the thermal paste? or should I go to a computer hardware shop and ask them to do it for me? I already do have 99% Isopropyl and Arctic Silver 5 thermal paste but I purchased them for CPU which I feel like is easier to replace compared to GPU's thermal paste.
