  1. Interesting. My intuition is that similar to how 144Hz is more intensive than 60Hz due to higher refresh rate, 4K would be more intensive than 1080p as there's more pixels to render. Isn't that the case?
  2. Thank you for the comments everyone! The 2700 and its X version were mentioned twice in this thread. After reading about them, the 2700 seems to be a much better bang for the buck, but since I'll use the PC on 4k, I'm afraid that it will be the bottleneck, so I will probably stick with 9700K (or 9900K, undecided yet). I will wait a week for the Zen 2 announcement and see what's up.
  3. Ooh that's why the prices didn't make sense Updated! So overall about ~$300 difference only, and it seems the Radeon VII performs a bit worse than the RTX 2080. Is there a specific reason to go with AMD rather than Intel? Is it because the TV supports Freesync (which requires as far as I understand requires AMD gfx?)
  4. Hello everyone, After a long long break from gaming, I'm ready to get back with a new custom built rig. Feedback is much appreciated! Budget & Location ~$1,800, USA Aim PC gaming. Mostly Overwatch, but also The Division 2 and Assassin's Creed. Monitors Since I already have the 65" LG C8 OLED TV (which apparently has a "Game Mode"), I thought I could use it, although I've never played on a TV before. If you guys think that I would suffer from this, then I can add ~$400 for 144hz monitor for gaming only. Peripherals Yes, I'll need keyboard+mouse. If I end up with using my TV, I will buy wireless versions. Since the PC will be in the living room along my TV, if it has cool lighting effects then that would be great! Although these are not a necessity. I'm researching about RGB lights now.
