  1. Thank you all very much for your replies. I figured the recommendations would be for NVIDIA cards, that was my first choice but was not 100% sure. As far as an amount to spend I was thinking around $300 to $500 per card with 2 per machine. Thank you again for your responses. Have a blessed day.
  2. Hello all. I am in the process of slacking out a couple of options for a blender only computer one will have an AND Ryzen 5-3600 with 16 to 32 Gb of ram. The second will have a Ryzen 9-3900 same ram set up. Can't really find any bench marks on graphic cards dealing with blender but can find many for games. One other thing I am looking at lacing 2 (two) cards in each machines. Any help would be greatly appericated. Thank you in advance. Have a blessed day
  3. Hello all, I am getting ready to build a computer for a cousin of mine. He is not a "gamer". He likes to work with Blender to create animations and such. The You Tube videos and other sources show mainly benchmarks for games and very little on software like Blender. I would like to know either some place that has benchmarks for Blender such as render time on multi core CPU's , and Graphics cards using either CUDA's or OpenCL. I am further confused now that AMD has released new processors and the new graphics cards. Any help you can give will be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance and have a Blessed Day.
  4. Thank you for your response. The country is The USA. the budget is high end $2000, though I would like to keep it below that.
  5. Good day all, I am new here and this question may have been asked before. I am building a computer for a family member who is handicapped, he does some video editing and rendering for his own pleasure. The software he is using is called "Blender" it is an open source software. I have read the specs on their website and the ideal build is to use 2 video cards. I am having trouble deciding on which ones to get. I am trying to keep the cost down but yet give him the best bang for the buck. In the past I have only built standard computers for work and home no gamer or editing units so the video editing is new to me. Can you help with this. If needed I can give you a list of other parts I am using if that will have bearing on the decision. thank you in advance for your assistance.
