  1. I dont think it is, i googled what that meant since i didnt know what it was and i dont think it applies to my setup. I drew the whole circuit maybe it's easier to follow this way: And then i have this possible setup, im not sure it would work though:
  2. I am using the router because the fiber comes in at the first floor in another router and i live on the second floor, there's no way to directly connect it. It goes from outside to the router inside and from that it goes in the wall socket plug that is connected to the plug in the room i use the computer. I forgot to mention that i use an IPTV in the same room and there is only one ethernet port available in this room that i use for this. I was told the wall ethernet port is set up to be used for the IPTV receiver not the PC, thats why i use the router to connect to the wifi then through the cable to the pc. I think that i could connect the plug to the router than divert it to both the IPTV box and the computer, i never tried it but i think it might work. What do you think? Would that work? Im asking this before trying because i rely on my internet for work and i would have to turn it off for a couple of minutes in order to test. I have not run any tests you are talking about. I am thinking about getting the TP-Link Archer C80, from what i have read it is alright. Do you have any other recommendations? I mostly use my internet for youtube, games and social media, i do have a couple of devices so thats worth mentioning.
  3. Hello! I am not sure if this topic should be in this section or the troubleshooting area but i will re-do it there if i have to. I am gonna mention a couple of details about my connection that might help troubleshoot: - my ISP uses fiber connection - i am using a TP-Link Wireless N WR841N Router that is in WISP operation mode and wired to my PC - i have not changed any settings of the router or in windows before the problem started - no windows update happened I have tried to: - Unplug and plug it several times - Reset it using the button on the router several times - Factory reset it - Upgrading the firmware of the router - Uninstalling my antivirus software I have been experiencing massive random dropoffs in download speed as of late, my download speed is usually around 40-50 mbps, the upload speed is around 70-80 mbps but during the dropoffs the upload speed does not modify. When the problem occurs the speedtest site takes around 3 minutes to load, some sites do not load at all and the download speed is at 3 mbps or lower. Usually to fix this i enter the routers settings, reboot it and then i restart my pc and it works fine for a couple of hours. The only thing i could think that changed before the problem started is the fact that i have acquired a smart tv. First time i connected it to the internet via wireless connection of this router and after that i directly connected it to the router. I did try to disconnect the cable and disable the wireless connection but the problem persists. I am not sure what to do, i am quite experienced with any other problems PC's have but i have to admit my network knowledge is pretty low. Thank you in advance.
  4. Apparently the GPU was fried, managed to get the data from the hard drive. If anyone stumbles on this thread and has the same problems as specified a fried GPU might be the issue.
  5. Okay so to sum it up in case anyone ever stumbles on this thread. While using the computer the display turned completely off, only way to fix it was restarting the whole computer, and that did not always work. I tried updating the bios via the MSI bios menu but because of the issues it basically forced me to restart my pc while the bios update was installing. That basically made my computer not show any image whatsoever. I tried reseating the cmos battery and short it out but it did not work. After fiddling around the internet i downloaded an OLDER bios version on a usb drive and had it in the usb quick bios flash port while NOT having any ram sticks in and it booted normally. I have no idea what caused this, i am aware that you should use the newest bios version but for now since this is my main computer i cant risk messing around that for a while. Thank you for the suggestions.
  6. Hello. A friend of mine owns a Late 2013 intel CPU based Imac and he has been encountering some problems with the booting process. Whenever he tries turning it on he gets a black screen with the apple logo and a loading bar that gets stuck around 75% all the time. Whenever he tries the command+r while turning it on it leads him to a screen where he can chose his boot drive and also select a wireless connection. There is another shortcut that makes the imac go to a screen where there's a rotating Earth and he has to pick a wireless connection, from what i understood this option tries reinstalling a new version of the OS in order to make the imac boot. This is where it gets weird, he tried the last thing a couple of times most of the times it started downloading showing that it has 7/6 minutes left and then it rebooted to the black screen apple logo stuck at 75% loading and then when he tried tit again he got a rotating earth for around 10 minutes with no progress bar or timer, then the imac showed a white screen wtih the apple logo on it and after a couple of minutes the imac played a voice clip that said "to use english press the return key". He tried pressing it but nothing happened. He tried resetting the NVRAM and the SMC. Before in between takes. It is worth mentioning that he usually works on gpu intensive projects and right before this issue he encountered some graphical issues and artifacts. The plan for now is to make a bootable usb drive with a running os on it and try to boot from it, this will happen in around 12 hours and im looking for any suggestions and opinions.
  7. Okay, i have managed to flash bios and boot to windows. I will be able to do more in about 10 hours since i wont be home. My plan is to mount everything back together, install the newest bios version supported by my motherboard and then see if the problem persists.
  8. I think it's pretty relevant that i was trying to update my bios version and while it was doing it the display connection disconnected again, after that i started not being able to get to the bios menu. When i turn my pc on the cpu light turns on on my motherboard, stays for a couple of seconds then the ram one turns on for a less than a second and thats it. EDIT: i tried taking both ram sticks off now and the lights on the motherboard go through the cpu and stays on at the dram light.
  9. The problem right now is that i am getting no display, it doesnt even take me to the bios menu, there is no display.
  10. Hello. I have been getting this for the past two days, basically i am just using my computer for youtube and such and without a clear sign of me doing something, my pc loses it's connection to the monitor and i have to reboot in order to get it back working most of the times, some times that doesn't work. I tried keeping the PC on not doing anything on it and it does the same thing. There is no clear frequency of this happening it could happen in the first minute of pc use or 15 minutes. What i have tried so far: - updating video drivers - reseat the display port cable from both the GPU and monitor, the GPU power cable plus the whole GPU in the motherboard - try the monitor with another PC and it works I have to mention that i have monitored the thermals and they are ok, nothing out of the ordinary, no new software installed lately no hardware changing. I have also tried updating the BIOS while writting this and while updating the same thing happened and now my computer wont even get to the bios menu, i am currently trying to reset the motherboard bios version. ATM im trying to get to the BIOS menu again. I am using Windows 10 64 bit My PC specs are: Ryzen 5600x 3.7 ghz, Asus Strix 1060 6gb, 2x Corsair Vengeance RGB PRO 16GB, DDR4, 3600MHz, CL18, MSI B550-A Pro Bios version is E7C56AMS.AA0 (before trying to update it)
  11. 1 month later, it was a defective unit. Did everything right but the pump itself wasn't working. Thanks for you help.
  12. Yeah i will see what i can do about it with the seller and will come back mention what happened. Thank you for your suggestions.
  13. Yes, all full speed, save and exit and restart, nothing changes for those two.
  14. The fans aren't plugged in for these pictures, only the pump, and as it says it's 0 RPM, i tried messing with settings there but nothing happens.
  15. The 240L v2 has a 3 pin connector for the pump and a 4 pin PWM connector for the fans, i will attach a picture of what the motherboard offers(sorry for the bad quality of the picture, i am not at home, this is what i could find), where should these be plugged the first one is CPU_FAN1 and second one PUMP_FAN1. I figured the 3 pin should be in the PUMP one and the fans in the CPU one, is this right? Could it be any setting in my bios menu that makes it not turn on?
  16. I was thinking it is not hooked up right, gow do you think it should be hooked up to the motherboard?
  17. Hello. I have just installed my first AIO cooler and something seems to be off. The CPU starts at around 50 degress C and ends up at like 80 in a couple of seconds, it's obvious something is off. I have tried switching the pump and fans between the CPU_FAN1 and PUMP_FAN1 ports and either combination i use ends up showing one of them at 0 RPM, i do have a setting to use every fan at once at maximum speed but it does not help, it stays at 0 RPM. The fans attached on the radiator work, i am not sure how i can tell if the pump is working, from what i have read it should make some distinct noise and i am not hearing anything. First of all,i would like to clarify which cable goes in where, although i did follow the manual i just want to get this out of the way. I am using an MSI B550-a pro and the CPU i am trying to cool is an AMD Ryzen 5 5600X and although i did read the manual and watch a couple of videos i really dont know what to believe anymore. Second of all, could the pump be defective? I did test both the ports with the old CPU cooler and it does change from 0 RPM so i am not sure what to believe since it is my first time using this cooling solution.
  18. Did some more research and found out that this b550 chipset tends to have usb connectivity issues, do you know anything about that?
  19. First obvious thing i would do is reinstall the drivers then see if the video problems persist. Does your laptop have any integrated GPU? Or just the dedicated 1060?
  20. I don't know if you started the reinstalling process but i had a similar problem only worse if you ask me, my computer kept restarting after 1 minute, nothing worked not even safe mode. I ended up reinstalling windows but my advice would be to look for anti malware software from companies like ESET, Norton even Avira, im guessing what i had was too much for them but maybe it would help you. They offer image files that you can boot into and run a scan on your computer, some even allow you to move files around from your PC, i used it to save some important documents before formatting the C drive and reinstalling everything. I recommend doing a full scan after reinstalling your windows. Simply download their software, use Rufus to "burn" the image file on a USB drive and boot into it and go along. Hopefully it can help you or anyone that stumbles upon this thread.
  21. The fan but now that i think of it, it would not be that much of a problem. Just like Origami Cactus said, the sound would be the major problem. Try and change the RPM in the BIOS menu, it's the most dependable fix, beats any software.
  22. Try using wired internet connection if you can. If not, monitor your network usage while playing, try closing programs that use the internet and any web browsers and downloads. Next step would be getting better internet connection from your provider but i guess that's a last resort.
  23. When i want to modify the CPU fan speed i use the BIOS control, go into that and see if you can find anything related to that, the BIOS menu differs from motherboard to motherboard so i can't really tell you where to find it. The disadvantages could be the fan being louder and probably more power draw.
  24. No i mean, can i elaborate something from my original post so you are not confused lol.
