  1. Thanks. I was trying to find pictures like these, but I didn't know where to look
  2. I've seen that. But the cooler is 159mm and I'm worried that the MoBo and stuff together will be too much. 4mm difference is really small IMO
  3. Hi, I was thinking about switching out my stock amd cooler to a dark rock slim or dark rock 4, but I'm worried that it wouldn't fit my Cooler Master MB500 case. Is there anyone with this case/cooler setup?
  4. Yeah, that's what I found on other forums as well. They say most of the remote apps are limited and sometimes updates make them useless. I could buy an old thinkpad (x230) for the price of the RPi, but the remote control is still bad. Best remote control is microsofts own remote desktop, but that's useless in this situation. MouseServer and similar apps are also not the best. I could stream some stuff from my phone to the computer, but netflix is a notable exception to this. Also running a laptop 24/7 eats a lot more than a RPI
  5. I was looking into nvidia shield stuff, but it's at least twice as much as the rasp pi (case, sd card, ac adapter included). Also, it's kinda overkill to use a shield tv on a 720p screen with bad color quality
  6. Hi guys, I have an older TV that doesnt have any internet connection or smart features. I only use it to watch netflix and movies that I've downloaded, but I don't want the hassle of plugging it into my computer and control it with a mouse+keyboard (i know remote mouse&keyboard apps for andoid but theay are kinda sh*t). I was thinking I could hook up an alwasy turened on raspberry pi to the tv via hdmi, use it to watch netflix, downloaded movies and uTorrent. Probably it's not that difficult, but what I really want is to have full control over this from my smartphone. Has any of you done this before, do you have any tips? Thanks, kaposztasajt
  7. Yeah, that would be a solution a few years back we didn't even have the latest products around launch. Only a few month later. Now at least I can find shops that sell 3rd gen ryzen and 16/20series graphics cards
  8. Ryzen 5 3600 is almost double the price of the 2600. Even if I ditch the cooler, the mouse and the keyboard, I am almost at the same pricepoint for the whole build The RX 5700 is 30% more expensive, bit overbudget too. The monitor is 1440P 60hz. (Doesn't have g-sync or freesync)
  9. It's easier to order from hungarian retailers, so I mostly use the ipon.hu online store
  10. I'm not sure but I believe Pure rock is not compatible with the AM4 socket.
  11. @hotseff I'm from hungary the budget would be 450k HUF
  12. @TheKDub Thanks for the reply. My budget is around 1500 USD (converted from my own currency) VAT included. This setup is about at that pricepoint. I need the stuff that is listed. I have pretty good headphones, a mousepad, mouse+keyboard(but they are garbage). I don't want speakers. I would like to play games. Mostly new titles. I do the same with my current machine, but it really struggles to keep the fps above 30-40 in BFV or Shadow of the Tomb Raider (low-medium settings)
