  1. Windows 11 (main) ASUS b450-f MoBo Ryzen 5 2600 CPU These are the relevant components, as I'm 99.9% sure the issue is in the bios. I updated my bios to 4901, as I have a Ryzen 5 5500 coming in the next day or two that required it. I made sure to check that my current R5 2600 was compatible and multiple sources said it was. The installation went fine, however, the sound no longer works on my rig. Not on Windows 11, nor on the Ubuntu and Mint installs I have on other drives. The troubleshooting in Windows 11 says that no audio devices can be found. For reference, I use a pair of Creative Pebble speakers plugged into the green audio port on the motherboard, and a set of headphones plugged into the audio port on my case. I can get audio over DisplayPort and HDMI, but not my preferred audio ports. The issue happened directly after the bios update. I've tried rolling back to the previous bios, but the issue was still there. I tried a few older bios files as well, and still nothing. Is there some obscure setting in the bios for the audio ports that I am missing?
  2. Just checked the QVL list on ASUS's site, and my RAM is not listed under the qualified vendors. The list does include other HyperX/Kingston memory sticks, including the same sticks under different kits and higher memory, but no stated support for 4 dimms. Sounds like that is the problem, I guess I didn't notice this compatibility issue. Thanks for the assistance.
  3. Specs: Ryzen 5 2600 @ stock settings ASUS STRIX B450-F MoBo 4x4GB HyperX DDR4 @2666 MHz Sapphire Nitro+ RX480 8GB EVGA Supernova 650 G2 80 Gold PSU I recently decided to upgrade to a Ryzen 5 2600 build, from an I5-6500. Installation went smoothly, but it wouldn't post. Troubleshooting LEDs indicated an issue with the RAM. Trying a single stick in A2, it was able to post and boot into Windows. I've tried all 4 sticks individually and they all work, and I am also able to use a second stick in B2 for a total of 8GB (2x4GB). However, I would like to use all 4 sticks if possible. Here is the following I have tried to fix this issue: I tried removing and reinstalling the CPU, and checking for any bent pins, which there weren't. Removing the CMOS battery. Updating the bios and chipset What else can I try, or is there some compatibility issue? Thanks
