  1. I would put the 27 inch 2560x1440p monitor right in front of me and the 24 inch to the right but like you mention the dpi difference is going to be very annoying
  2. Hi Currently I'm using 2 1080p TN monitors that are 24 inch and 1 dell u2414h ips monitor. I am thinking about getting a 27 inch 1440p monitor as main monitor and keeping the 24 ips monitor as a secondary display. I'm worried the difference in pixel density will be annoying when going from one screen to the other. Does anyone have experience with a setup like this?
  3. Thanks for your answers, I appreciate the quick replies Everything is connected properly so I don't think this is the problem. I think this is the problem, especially because the ports don't work in the bios as well Every USB option is selected as far as I see
  4. Hi All usb ports except for the 2 top ones(back IO of the motherbaord) on my friends computer aren't working and I can't figger out why not. He uses the MSI H55-GD65 motherboard. I already tried the following things: Update the motherboard to the latest bios version (v1.6) Install the latest chipset drivers I should also note my friend already tried to fix this problem by posting a topic on this forum but he gave up on finding a solution: http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/296588-msi-h55-gd-65-usb-port-problem/ Edit: I forgot to mention the usb ports don't work when the computer is in the bios In the following picture you can see the usb section of device manager. Hopefully one of you can guide me to the right solution
  5. Thanks for the replies We just installed a new ssd in the system with windows 8 on it. uninstalling CCC and installing the driver didn't work, the fan still spins at full speed. Is there something else we can do? The whole pc is dust free since last week so that's not the problem Edit: To sum up the current situation: we just reinstalled windows and we still can't change the fan speed manually, is there something like a GPU bios that can be messed up in some way?
  6. Hi, The fan of my friend's amd radeon hd 6870 grahics card spins at 100% all the time. He started having this problem about 1 month ago after he updated his drivers. We already tried to change the fan speed manually with the catalyst drivers and with MSI afterburner but the changes don't apply to the GPU fan speed. I hope somebody knows the answer to our problem. Thanks in advance.
  7. Hi, A couple of year's ago I registered a gmail account with the following format: fistname.lastname@gmail.com. The account got deleted a while ago and I'm not able to recover it with the standard gmail recovery forms. I would like to contact someone at google or gmail so they can delete my old account. Does anyone know which email address i can use to ask my question?
  8. Alright! thanks for the replies.
  9. Hey guys, Do you think I would get a lot of benefit out of a PCI sound card for my headphones? I use the Sennheiser PC 360 (sennheiser.com/gamer-headset-hifi-sound-noise-cancelling-microphone-pc-360)
  10. Thanks for all the replies. On my machine, even core temp doesn't work. It indicates 70°C all the time. when I read the temperatures with speedfan however it shows acceptable results
  11. Hi, I recently build a HTPC with an amd 5800k apu and was wondering what software i should use to monitor the cpu temperature. When I try to use hwmonitor it says that the cpu is running at 70 degrees celsius but when I read the temperature from fanspeed it says it runs at 40 degrees.
  12. thanks for the replies! If the audio quality is affected by using the montitor passthrough I'm going to search for an other option. Since I'm only using the green audio jack and the red mic input of my 5.1 mobo sound card, is it possible to put the green audio jack from my speakers in another input from my 5.1 audio and tell windows it has to use that input as a second audio input?
  13. Hi, I am currently using a logitech z623 speaker set and a sennheiser pc360 headset. The headset is connected to the rear IO of my motherboard while the speakers are connected to the front audio of my case. Because of esthetic reasons i would like to get rid of the cable in the front of my case. I was wondering if it's a good option to route the 3.5mm of my speakers to the audio-out of my HDMI monitor (Iiyama ProLite E2473HDS-B1) and configure windows to play through HDMI. Would this configuration put more pressure on my system or lower the quality of the audio in any way?
  14. I'd choose the r4. I currently use a 650D and it really bothers me that the intake fan is a 200mm since almost all silence optimized fans are 120mm. An other annoying thing about the 650D is the mesh before the front fan.
