  1. Summary Sang Yup Lee, Hyundai's head of design said that the company's commitment to keep physical buttons in the car is rooted in safety concerns. In some modern vehicles like Tesla, adjusting things such as the volume or climate control settings require the driver to dive into menus on a touch screen that can be to distracting for the driver and can cause an accident as your eyes are now looking at the screen more than the road. With physical buttons, the tactile feedback of buttons, dials and switches let the drivers keep their eyes on the road. Lee did hint that at the moment this is a priority for Hyundai today, but things may change in the future. Touchscreens and touch controls did offer some compactness to the design of modern cars and it can also be cheaper and easier to implement than populating buttons everywhere, but for the past decade touch controls are less responsive and less practical than simple buttons. My thoughts Personally I think this is a great move by Hyundai. I've seen videos from LMG that even bring up this issue and while some touch controls are nice, the basic things need to stay as physical buttons such as road hazard, climate controls and volume controls. From personal experience with family members who own a Tesla or other newer cars, a lot of them loved the "coolness" of it, but once the initial excitement of something new and shiny became an every day thing, they started to tell the rest of the family how much they miss the physical buttons. I think a lot of other car manufactures are going to take note of this and it might even cut down on cost overall as rare earth metals to create touch screens is becoming more expensive and at the end of the day it can break and become e-waste. 2. I'm building out my room abs would love something to do surround sound like those speakers but I do not have $2k to spend. Does anyone have any recommendations?
  3. Hm I do have a costco membership so maybe in 2 months when I get my furniture (which is when I plan on buying the TV anyways since I can't enjoy right now) the new C2 series will on "sale". That said I did see this: https://www.bestbuy.com/site/lg-65-class-b2-series-oled-4k-uhd-smart-webos-tv/6501896.p?skuId=6501896 and not sure what the thoughts on this were let alone when its supposed to even be out. I want dimmable lights that can also change color (thinking like HUE lights) but something can integrate into homekit.
  4. Recently moved into a new townhome and to make a very long story short, Its a new chapter in my life and I want to go all out on my space (I mean no not 10k on a tv kinda thing I'd still like to save some cash thank you). I've never really had the opportunity to build out my own space and now I finally can and ill be honest, I'm not the best decorator and don't know what the best option for TVs and Sound qquality are. I know just because something is the most expensive, doesn't mean its the best and that's where I need your help. Attached is my floor plan for the living room which is where the TV is going to go Room SIZE 12x12x9" Furniture Sectional (on back order like everything else for 2 months...) Figured book cases or something as well Some sort of large area room rug from costco? Wasn't sure if having some sort of room sound board panels would help. The ones people put in rooms or theaters to help bounce the sound back at you so it doesn't just leave the area. Linus did this I saw in his house and his video on the workshop area. Color of the room Ideally based on the sectional the modern approach is that gray type tone, but haven't picked a color yet. If it helps anyone I'll be going to Sherwin Williams as I get 80% off on paint TV I really want to get the new QD-OLED TVs I've been hearing about, but not 100% dead set on it. The use case is for movies and tv shows in HDR and Bluray. I don't have live TV so for tv shows it would come from streaming service providers. Ideally I'm thinking: 65" HDR Dolby Atmos support (unless there's a better option) OLED as its the best you can get to my knowledge Sound Support for Dolby Atmos or whatever would be the best option Debating if I want to do hardwired speakers, or just calling it a day and doing a really nice soundbar with surround sound (again Linus showed off in his home that insane sound bar a while back that works wonders) Lights I plan on doing can lights. The smaller ones that would be in the 4 edges of the room and remove the one by the front door So honestly any help would be greatly appreciated. Any suggestions on hardware, when to buy, personal experiences etc is always welcomed. This is by no means something I plan on doing over night. I want to do this right the first time and make it amazing to have folks over and watch movies and tv shows.
  5. What sites are there that allow you to upload your floor plan and find the best information as he showed in the video?
  6. Alright so I decided that I will use the following: CPU Block GPU Block Pump/Reservoir 2x Radiator Now I need to figure out how much tubing and the other fittings. Any suggestions?
  7. That would work not sure why I didn't think of that. I also completely forgot to mention I did order https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07S7G76TD/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 and https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07S6595TV/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I mean I can return them.
  8. This case? I'm not worried about airflow lol. Also it's mainly for aesthetic purposes. The case imo just looks better with 2 pumps in the front vs one.
  9. Well the main reason I was thinking for the 2 separate loops was the case just looks better with 2 pumps in the front.
  10. I'll make this short, sweet and to the point. Debating which way to go. Trying to save as much as possible. End goal is to have clear hard tubing + RGB + 1 loop for GPU + 1 loop for CPU Setup (Links are not what I paid) Case: Thermaltake Tower 900 Black CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 3700x GPU: EVGA 2080 Super XC Gaming Edition RAM: CORSAIR VENGEANCE RGB PRO 32GB (4x8GB) DDR4 3600MHz C18 LED Desktop Memory - Black Motherboard: MSI MPG X570 Gaming Plus Options NOTE: the configurators will have 2x pumps and I'm thinking smaller radiators for 2 custom loops. Buy stuff individually Buy this EKWAB custom loop (or with modifications to it) Buy this Corsair custom loop (or with modifications to it) Ideally i'd prefer a 100% transparent RGB block vs what corsair offers Let me know any suggestions you might have. Thank you everyone.
  11. Well water cooling should work in that case (hell the stock photos show it) and it's not like im going to be doing SUPER EPIC ZOMG GAMING based on how I play anyways. Also it I guess I can order the mobo I suggested as well (cheaper) and jsut wait for it to come in. Again its not a rush that I get this stuff as I have a backup gaming laptop for the time being; however, I don't want to wait too long either.
  12. I apologize. Yeah Storage is not an issue. Water cooling is later, but I do want to plan the parts now to make sure it does fit. As for the cooler, yeah thats fine I can switch to another one like the one you suggested. Again my concern is getting the performance for what I do + aesthetics in this case. It sucks since motherboards are sold out basically everywhere and I also saw this one: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07T5QDRFX?tag=pcpapi-20&linkCode=ogi&th=1&psc=1
