Guess there's a good reason I'm a bit of a Phanteks fanboy for full size cases. At some point I guarantee I'm buying at least one more OG windowed Enthoo Pro, they are by far my favorite ATX case.

I get it man. Every time I see an NR200 on the sffpc subreddit I feel myself wanting to projectile vomit. The O11 is just worn out to me at this point, but the NR200 I actually have formed a bit of hatred for.

Ironically I just noticed you've got the Metallicgear knockoff of the O11, and I actually like them because they're not used by everyone and their mother. Though it's also pretty baller that Phanteks is shoving dual-system capability into every case possible, it seems.

I get the feeling... That you're a Thermaltake fanboy.

Jokes aside, finally a build that embraces poo brown. Sure is a nice change from the standard 3600x/2070 super/O11 Dynamic rainbow vomit shit you see all the time everywhere.

Run Geekbench 3 and see what scores you will be getting there. The difference should be significant.

    I'd recommend, for your system, a kit of 3600CL18 (2*8GB or 2*16GB)

    I'm running the 3900XT with 3600CL14

Right? I always get paranoid after I put my block on "wait... did I use paste?" then I look at my fingernails and my answer is "yes".

    Spread method ftw 😎

Should be plenty. With the emphasis on should 😛 Check for loose connectors, particularly on the GPU and PSU.

There's another often overlooked issue. I almost did it myself last week, when assembling a system from old parts, when I noticed the boxed cooler didn't have a thermal pad. 👁️‍🗨️

Can you tell us the full spec of the machine and maybe a pic of it in its 'natural environment'. It seems like it crashes too quick for it to be ambient induced thermals but worth checking.

You did paste the CPU right? lol

Have you brought up hwinfo and re-created to see behaviour of the CPU (thermal and boost) and GPU (thermal and boost)?

Cinebench, old and new versions, were never that sensitive to ram performance. That difference in the screenshot is less than 1% so unless you did multiple runs to optimise it, that in itself could be a bigger factor.

Kinda looks like a little bit of run-to-run variance but hey, that's something at least, now that you mention it I'm gonna try that with my own ram

    I disagree.

If you remove the stuff like RGB from the equation then Noctua wins every race from performance to optimisation to silence.

You're looking at approx £18 per fan (unless you go ultra premium NF-A12x25 hybrid airflow/pressure fans).

The average cost of a budget PWM fan is at least £10.

So for 80% extra you get the silence (if you value it) and you get far better performance, directly related to PC performance).

Their CPU coolers are also fairly priced. There isn't as much a 'Noctua tax' as there is a 'Corsair tax' and you're definitely paying for the premium product, and once you have over 10 fans like me, I've paid over £100 extra than budget fans. But if you're at that point, price and sensibility are out the window. If you're replacing 3-4 fans in a case. You're paying an extra £30-ish for the performance increase.

Gamers Nexus has documentation on testing some stuff like this. So is it worth that trade off? For low budget builders? Maybe not. For high/ultra end stuff? Absolutely.

I've burned out fan headers from having 4 connected. 3 is now my absolute limit if they're 12V, 4 pin PWM.

I posted a while ago a picture of my recently finished build that I intended to make as 'Noctua themed' as possible. I had this comment on the post that really made me think long and hard about what direction I wanted to take:

And @Gundarwas 10,000% right. I'd just done a white case and bright lights and put Noctua fans in.

Well. I've spent a lot of time in iCue, fine tuning the colours as best I can. Waiting for custom PSU cables to arrive and adjusting the loop to be as sleek as possible. I can't afford to change the case right now, but I MAY hydrodip, spray or wrap it in the future for extra flare. But for now, I think this is sufficiently Noctua themed. My camera doesn't pick up the beige of the RGB as well as it shows in real life, and I am by no means an expert on photography, so pinch of salt?

    Hardware:
    O-11Dynamic
    10 x Noctua fans
    R9 3900XT
    2080ti
    Corsair Vengence Pro 3600CL18
    Cables from pslatecustoms.com
    Asus b550 Elite

    Further feedback is appreciated!

The best way to answer this question is thusly: "I really like fans".
