psu watt calculator says i need 500w minimum with both gpu and cpu oc'd. alrighr alright i wont oc gou just to be safe its not necessary but i have to oc the cpu, would it be safe like (or at least acceptable) like that ? (3.7-8ghz)

i had this psu before , the 4pin cpu power connector is melted due to mobo having only 4pin power socket . thats why i cant use it. they call this is a bad psu also but i didnt have any problems with it except for the 4pin connector thing but that is mobo's problem (m5a97 le r2.0) not psu.i got m5a97 r2.0 now, with 8pin entry

whats the worst case sceneario , i dont oc much, 3.5ghz is the stock speed . i will use it at around 3.7-3.8 but not higher than 3.8 , maybe 3.85 ghz

i am on a extremely tight budget all i can get is this psu . its temporary, i will get a better one later. i wonder if this would be suitable for my system and eligible to oc and stuff (please sag yes i am hopeless i couldnt use my system for 2 months i missed her a lot) gtx 960 fx8320 2x4gbRam m5a97 R2.0 mobo 4chasis fans (dunno if its a required info) 1tb hdd edit: Psu is gigabyte also edit : its 550w

i was using cpu at 3.8 ghz oc, i did my research before oc but it looks like i missed a point. i used it for 3years like that and i realised the cable and socket got browny and melted, the melting got wors by the time. so it didnt happen so quick, it took years . i am changing my mobo to m5a97 r2.0, repair shop here says he can fix psu for like 10 dollars, and trust me i dont have money to spend for extra if 10dollar repair would do my job . i can replace the psu later but not now. would you recommend repairing the connector? (dont say there are psus for 30-40 dollars cuz those cost way more in my country. pc parts are so expensive here. a waiter earns 15 dollars per day for ~8-10 maybe more hours. ) (and sorry for my bad english)

i will change the mobo too, cuz thats also screwed . i was planning to get a corsair vs550 but since you said 450, do you really think that a 450 would be enough for me ? gtx 960 fx 8320 1tb hdd , asus m5a97 r2.0 2x4 gb ram 3 fans

thermaltake lp-700al2nh, well everything is expensive these times. i hardly can buy food and stuff . i am literally poor for 2 months. some people on reddit said i can get away with this. if not I'll buy a cheap psu something like vs550

is it possible to replace/modify this cable somehow? actually, both of these 4 pin cpu power connectors are burnt/melted. so i am gonna need those both. dont ask how did this happen its a long story but simply seems like m5a97 le r2.0 is not a good choice for 8 thread fx 8320 cpu. cuz the mobo only has 4 pin cpu power entry and stuff.
