  1. What do you think I should do? I tried reinstalling the game to no success. Hoping defragging works
  2. Seems to be a Fortnite problem/ bug. In my NVIDIA fps display it merely drops to 57-59 (which is forgivable) but in the in-game display it skips to around 19-27fps
  3. 1080 and all low except for anti alliasing and view distance
  4. So ever since there was a new update in Fortnite battle royale (the season X update) I've been experiencing really bad FPS drops and stuttering. My CPU usage doesn't go above 60% when playing and my GPU usage doesn't go above 30%. Temps are all around 40C. I'm trying to defrag now but I have no clue what's causing the FPS drops from 60fps to 27fps, multiple stuttering. My specs: i5-9600k 1080ti z390 32gb RAM 850 PSU 256gb SSD 1TB hdd Some people are suggesting I overclock but I know my specs are more than decent to play at a stable 60fps. Any help is appreciated
  5. probably gonna reformat and try again... thanks
  6. i concede. i check myy task manage streamlabs is literally taking up 90% CPU usage and nothing else is open. Im not even streaming or recording yet.
  7. all my drivers are up to date now. i just did ddu on amd, nvidia, and intel. in that order. (since this was the home of my rx 580 then my 1080ti then back to rx580) i really think that its using the procie to render. maybe thats why my cpu usage is so high right off the bat. with just literally the game capture at 1080p (even at 720p) and a webcam with low reso my cpu usage goes over 70%
  8. when i check hwinfo like Seraice says i should, it shows me INTEL UHF 630 as my gpu. does that mean my rx 580 isnt being used??
  9. So it turns out this whole time ive been using intel UHD 630 as my gpu?????
  10. im gonna give this another swing after DDU
  11. i use a dedicated gaming pc with a capture card so it isnt affected by my playing. however i did use a basic aircooling system. but i dont think it would stress it enough to get hot.. will msi afterburner do the trick?
  12. single 8 gb stick 2666 ddr if im not mistaken hyperx
  13. i toggled amd encoding and it was still bad
  14. i am still troubleshooting with the ddu etc. defragging and what not.. what do u mean what sort of memory?
  15. i do not have that option unfortunately. If i cannot find a fix i might be forced to upgrade? my search tells me i3 8100 should be adequate for just streaming.. despite being the bare minimum. however i have not experienced any success so far. still tweaking and tinkering around...
  16. yeah my tech guy kinda bamboozled me since i was in a hurry at the time. what would you recommend for an upgrade?
  17. yall have been a great help so far. will keep yall posted. thanks mates
  18. actually i bought this procie quite recently. i did scrap the bare minimum for parts for my stream pc..
  19. Would i be better off using my gaming pc to stream as well? z390 1080ti i5 9600k 32gb RAM 256gb SSD
  20. I believe I've been shuffling between software encoding and hardware encoding (AMD) still to no success. my suspicion is lingering hidden drivers. Since ive been switching GPUs and Mobos for this pc. maybe a good ol reformat would do.
  21. Hi guys I have a dedicated streaming pc: i3 8100 ASUS Prime H310M-E R2.0 8gb RAM rx 570 I use an avermedia livegamer mini capture card to capture from my gaming pc. As soon as I open Stream Labs or OBS i immediately have over 70% CPU usage. When I record and stream it completely spikes to over 90% and skips so many frames. The only source that is up is the game capture card and a webcam + overlay. I dont know why CPU usage is so high. I tried lowering my resolution, bitrate, etc. even toggled with the encoding devices to no success. Is i3 8100 not enough for this? Or do I probably have hidden drivers sucking up processing power?
