  1. RAID 1 you'll get 1TB useable HOWEVER you'll have redundancy (one drive can fail and you won't lose data). RAID 0 you'll get 2TB useable and better perfrormance HOWEVER no redundancy (if a drive dies you lose all your data). Edit: Raid 1 = mirror Raid 0 = stripe with no parity
  2. benchmarks http://www.videocardbenchmark.net/high_end_gpus.html
  3. Whatever it is you'll enjoy it! Mass Effect is the best trilogy ever IMO!!!!! Enjoy it all!!!
  4. Found this when I googled it... http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id-2196846/motherboard-find-required-map.html Try turning off fast boot.
  5. have you updated the motherboard firmware?
  6. I'd recommend EVGA for their support alone, they're awesome!
  7. I've heard of people calling Microsoft when they have similar issues and getting a fresh license key.... You could try that, at most you might lose some time waiting on hold.
  8. Yep, i'll take some when I get back in about 1.5 hours.
  9. I'm assuming you just bought an nvidia GPU and get to choose one of those games? I have FC4 and AC: Unity... I beat FC4 and have just start Unity... I'd say go with FC4 unless you're a huge assassin's creed fan.
  10. I do open the window when it's cool outside... Once again I live in TX and most of the year it's pretty hot outside...
  11. I live in TX and it gets hot in this room (only 11x11 or so) and the wall in the pic is kind of west facing so I have heat issues for most of the year. Long gaming sessions with a GPU pumping out heat certainly don't help. I struggled with this for a couple of years before finding a solution. Underneath the desk on the right I have all the necessary cables running through the wall to a spare/guest bedroom on the other side. I have the other cables hidden behind a bookshelf. This room is very rarely used so I can crank up the fans if needed and can't hear a thing in the room I'm in. This also help with heat quite a bit. I have found one downside to this setup... I have to go into the other room to see my PC However I find not having a room hot as hell to be worth it. What do you all think of my setup? Any other solutions for heat in a small room you can think of (short of installing another A/C unit)?
  12. Here's a link to help if you need it. http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/36504/how-to-create-a-software-raid-array-in-windows-7/
  13. RAID 5 requires a minimum of 3 drives, RAID 6 requires 4. You can set them up in a RAID 5 using windows. You go to Disk Management, make sure all your drives are initialized and online, right click one of the 3, and you should have the option to create a new RAID 5.
  14. I don't so much dislike Apple... I absolutely HATE the general public's perception of Apple. By this I mean I hate it when someone assumes every Apple product is superior to any competing product just because it is Apple. I also hate when people assume Mac's can't get viruses because they are Mac's...
  15. I pay for 300 mbps down .... Screw you Time Warner!!!! What really sucks is I'm only like 2 miles away from Google Fiber in Austin..... Hopefully they'll extend it soon.
  16. If you can stretch your budget to ~$99 and you have room in your case for the rad i'd recommend the H100i.
