I am running this case and have a XE360 up top. No issues there. I also have a PE 360 on the side and a SE 120 on the bottom. Was running a SE 360 on the bottom but added a 2nd 1080ti and lost that capacity.

Yes... this is #1 on the upgrade list.  Also a optical drive as a practical measure (people still send me them/request them with data for work).

the sync battle is not won, it's just getting started. FreeSync will get better for sure.

But Nvidia did the ground work.. They were the ones who pushed this whole issue into the public consciousness. They were the ones who decided to tackle the problem of synchronizing dynamic game frame-rates with a monitor's refresh. Then they did their R&D and were first to market as well. I'm not an Nvidia user anymore but credit where it's due... Most of the gaming world didn't bother to stop and realize that this was a problem that needed to be addressed.

    The issue is stutter...
If you let the fps go to 144, they are not constant...
They can drop to 133, 127, 112, back to 136...
All this fluctuation without Freesync will cause stutter...
Stutter is actually one of the issues why this whole Freesync and GSync matter In the first place...

Brett Taggart reacted to Monty007 in Leviathan [900D] newly updated - 10 x 120mm rad sandwich, sleeving [COMPLETE]
So I was due for a coolant and tubing change.  Ended up doing a change for almost everything.  Components mostly stayed the same but I have added another quad rad - now a sandwiched Quad and Triple in the basement and I still have the 60mm triple in the roof.  Completely changed the wiring around and sleeved everything myself (I hate sleeving).  Loop and color scheme has been changed to blue and black.  Still working on completing it.  Spent over 12 hours sleeving the PSU because I couldn't get the proper de-pinning tool.  Lots more pics to come.  I'm most proud of the sleeving and the sandwiched quad + triple rads in the basement.  I now have 10 x 120mm rad space.  Looking forward to the temps and will report back.

I had initially played with the idea of mounting the triple on the hdd cage but found that there was a lot of problems with air pockets and getting fans attached to the quad which was right beside it.  With the sandwiched rad config in the basement the spacing is really tight.  One of the pictures shows that the fitting on the triple that is in the back of the sandwich had only a few millimeters of clearance against the PSU.

    Let me know your thoughts.

Brett Taggart got a reaction from Moptopno1 in Who do you think will win the Scrapyard wars?
Ill say what I said in the Youtube comments, I think it will be very close, maybe with a slight edge to Luke . I think the R9 290 will Bottleneck in Tomb Raider but not in Valley or 3D Mark hopefully. I think the 7950 will have a suitable CPU so it will get full performance. I dont know how far the 290 will bottleneck but I can imagine probably a fair bit. Its really exciting but what a steal for Luke with that card and kudos for Linus with the T shirts and putting together the series it is nail biting and Ill look forward to seeing more episodes in the future!!

    Hey

I dont have screen caps at the moment, I will get them if required. Just thought I would get that out of the way off the bat.

Well I was really excited to get my Powercolor 290x2 in the mail from Overclockers UK (its refurbished but does work properly) but I initially was plaugued with problems, ranging from no display at all to 4K video stutter on Youtube.

Now this one I think will be a little more complex then the last and may not even be fixable which would be a shame.

So its about crossfire actually managing to work in games at all.

So I tried the Metro LL Benchmark which game me about 104 FPS average with Crossfire enabled- it did lock up the whole system after the 4th run I think maybe due to heat but the auto fan speed was working hard- Yes I understand the card is hot, loud and heavy as I feel it should have been more of a prototype than production model. i own it and I guess Im going to have to deal with it.

Moving onto the next game: Bioshock Infinite Benchmark:
Ran flawlesly with 152 average with crossfire enabled

3D mark I ran just before with a score of 14,115

Grid Autosport does concern me as I dont think crossfire will ever work in the game even though Ive seen from review sites that it does

    Battlefield 4
    - Crossfire really hit ad miss- more likely a miss. I have disabled ULPS for those who will ask- I have disabled and re-enabled crossfire with various other settings

Well initially it would completely lock up the system whenever I tried to launch the game, with or without crossfire enabled, I did get around to erasing the drivers with the Driver Uninstaller tool which seemed to help stability but everytime i play I always get some kind of issue- weather it be a lock on 30fps? who knows why, Crossfire working but only at 50% per GPU (this is with and without frame-pacing).The really odd thing is that both GPU's say they are running but never at 100% or they would be at near abouts 100% in the team score menu after the match.

I just dont know what i can do.

I am new to the whole crossfire thing and i understand its still maturing but bit shouldnt be not working at all?

I can attach screen caps but I wont be able to reply until this time again tomorrow

    Cheers

    3."Uphold the law"
    4. (Classified)

The only user name you can enter should be Murphy.

As it boots up it would need to play the sound file "Dead or alive you're coming with me".
