  1. https://store.hp.com/UKStore/Merch/Product.aspx?id=2S386EA&opt=ABU&sel=DEF I've found this laptop and with student discount is around £1800. For the full power rtx 2080 super you usually have to pay around £3000.. Anyone has it? Or any opinions on this chassis? As this deal seems to good to be true
  2. Not really. Like mentioned. I'd sacrifice them for performance and good thermals. I was looking at that ASUS because is the cheapest option with GTX 1060 I could find.
  3. Oh, now I've just noticed that the dell went up in price. It was 900 without the student discount yesterday. So it is not an option anymore. Then the question is. Is the ASUS a best buy in this price or should I look somewhere else? From this video I can see it has a decent performance in games //@CUDAcores89 Imagine that.
  4. Hello This is my first post on this forum. I'm UK based and I've been searching for a good laptop for the past 2-3 weeks, my budget is limited so I only have a few options. After watching some reviews I found this laptop: https://www.amazon.co.uk/ASUS-FX505GM-AL279T-Bezel-Gaming-Laptop/dp/B07MWD86YZ/ref=sr_1_14?keywords=tuf+fx505&qid=1557766185&s=gateway&sr=8-14 Which is 899 pounds My second option is : https://www.dell.com/en-uk/shop/laptops-notebooks-and-2-in-1-laptops/dell-g3-15-gaming-laptop/spd/g-series-15-3579-laptop/CN35713 Which with a student discount reduces the price. If I were to choose between the two I would go for the ASUS but I'm not 100 percent convinced The laptop is gonna be used for gaming and watching videos/movies. I don't want to go over 900 and the 2nd laptop, the g3 is above my budget. Worth noting is that a gaming laptop is going to be the first machine I owned capable of playing games above medium. I've always played video games in the low-medium settings range, that's why now I'm precocious when it comes to spending so much money. Any advice? Or different options ?
