maroammar reacted to Spotty in how to change ram speed in asus x570 tuf bios. I dont see xmp anywhere?
There's a thread on the forums where people report their Cinebench scores. You should be able to find some results from other people with a Ryzen 7 3700X and see how yours compares, or you can even post your scores and ask if it seems normal.
(Skip to the last few pages for more recent CPU results)
Quick search for professional reviews and they seem to be getting around 4800pts in Cinebench R20, which isn't too far off the 4400pts you're getting.
They are using faster RAM with 3600MHz.
What frequency is your CPU running at during the tests?
What temperature is your CPU at during the tests?
Do you have any background software running, such as web browsers, anti virus, game launchers, etc?

maroammar reacted to Corrupt_Liberty in What does the USB connector on the ryzen 3700x box do?
The usb is there for people who don't have RGB motherboards. You do. You have two RGB headers on the board. Use one of those instead.

maroammar reacted to Master Disaster in how to install amd store mi on asus x570 tuf?
Your SSD is to big, Store Mi has a limit of 128GB.
I replaced all my case fans with Noctua ones, I don't have any RGB to connect.

maroammar reacted to BTGbullseye in what is the best choice for rtx 2060
Which video editing software? If it's Adobe, then you have to use Nvidia... If it's not, you may get more out of a 5700.

maroammar reacted to Djinnux in what is the best choice for rtx 2060
Nvidia's encoder is quite a bit better than AMD if Im not mistaken so yeah go nvida if you need to but Id see how much different the 2060 super is price wise in your country. The extra 2 gigs of VRAM just might make a difference for your workload IDK...

maroammar reacted to Jurrunio in is Sapphire NITRO+ RX 590 8GB GDDR5 good in graphics
Adobe prefers CUDA, only used by Nvidia cards (it's Nvidia's own tech).
Gaming performance is 10%, CUDA with 1660 vs RX 590 with OpenCL in Adobe could be as high as 50% or as low as "the same", it's really workload dependent.

maroammar reacted to bondoao1 in is Sapphire NITRO+ RX 590 8GB GDDR5 good in graphics
I had a Sappire RX590 nitro+ for about a month.
I know a lot of people have success with these cards, but I have had nothing but problems with mine.
see thread about it here:
I tried everything suggested in that thread, even putting my cpu back to factory as suggested but my issues never went away.
I started loosing display and then my PC started shutting down by itself mid game.
I removed the RX590 and reinstalled my old GTX 650, and all the problems went away.
I returned the card to the store I bought it from. informing them it was a bad card.
At that time the Gigabyte RTX 2060 Gaming Pro OC was on sale so I paid the difference and got that card.
WIth the RTX now in my PC, I have no issues and I have all my settings maxed out in 1080P with flawless performance.

maroammar reacted to DrMacintosh in is Sapphire NITRO+ RX 590 8GB GDDR5 good in graphics
The performance differences for these task, rendering a motion graphics, does not justify the price increase imo. Also, if you cant afford a better card, you won't be able to use your system until you can get a card since the 3700X does not have any integrated graphics.
The 3700X is going to be doing most of the heavy lifting. The OpenCL performance of the 590 should be more than enough.

maroammar reacted to Jurrunio in is Sapphire NITRO+ RX 590 8GB GDDR5 good in graphics
a lot better. RX 590 isn't even as fast as the GTX 1660, with higher power draw out of the box. Only advantage is higher video memory capacity, but 6GB is enough for most people unless you hit 4K res.
depends on software you use

maroammar reacted to Skiiwee29 in could x470 motherboard over clock 3700x to 4.4 to all core ?
Best I can do with my 3700x on an x370 Crosshair VI Hero which was one of the best x370 boards produced was 4.2 at 1.35v on my 3700x.. no way in hell you ever going to get an all core at 4.4 without pushing 1.5 or more volts though it.

maroammar reacted to GoldenLag in could x470 motherboard over clock 3700x to 4.4 to all core ?
yeah....... thats not happening unless you hit the 1/1000 silicon lottery. (edit: unless the board is literal garbo then its nothing to do with the board)
where does this claim come from? that mobo can overclock the chip as far as the chip will go.

maroammar reacted to Master Disaster in can i build hackintosh with new ryzen 3?
Its fine for light editing. If you're main use will be editing videos (basically if its a job where time is money) then get something with a high core count. If you're doing a few videos a week for fun then a Ryzen is more than sufficient.
There would be very little difference between a 3800X and a 9900K for video editing.

maroammar reacted to Master Disaster in can i build hackintosh with new ryzen 3?
Very, its perfect for my 1440p monitor, quiet, not hot at all and runs everything I've chucked at it.
I upgraded from an Asus Vega 64 which had a known VRM issue and could reach 100c+ so he difference is night & day. My only slight issue is the drivers are very immature, its only with Catalyst 19.10 did WCG & HDR start working properly. Obviously this will improve with time though.
Also its rumoured that Microsoft DXR support is coming to the 5700s in December, if that happens it will be a huge boost. Its essentially a totally free upgrade as I bought the card expecting to never have Ray Tracing at all.
Edit - You meant my CPU LOL. Again very happy, since AGESA ABBA its been performing amazingly. All core boost of 4.4Ghz and a single core boost of 4.55Ghz. My 115i Platinum keeps it under 80c under any load (short of a torture test) even if I manually OC it to 4.35Ghz all core which seems to be the wall. Its great for gaming and light video editing which are 2 of my 3 main uses (the other being electronic DJing that you could do on a potato).

I currently cannot run macOS because my 5700XT is unsupported.

maroammar reacted to Master Disaster in can i build hackintosh with new ryzen 3?
3000 series work fine for macOS, the issues come with board compatibilities.
Be warned that installing macOS on an AMD system is very invloved compared to an an Intel system. It requires multiple extra steps and some terminal stuff.
Nvidia 2000 series don't work at all, probably never will.
RX5000 series are only supported in Catalina 15.1 Beta, Catalina brings its own set of issues and only developers can access Beta builds so officially its unsupported until 15.1 releases to the public.

maroammar reacted to Princess Luna in Are you happy with ryzen 3700x or 3800x?
Intel states their processors could in theory work 24/7 for 15 years if all conditions are good.
I'm sure Ryzen is about the same so yeah it will live more than 5 years of normal usage.

maroammar reacted to minibois in how can i overclock i9 99000 with this power supply
Yes it is compatible. You can run the overclock on the 9900K with that PSU. It will work with it.
-
maroammar reacted to minibois in how can i overclock i9 99000 with this power supply
Looks like an OC'ed 9900K uses up to 200 or so Watts of power and the 8 pin EPS connector does 384W. You would really not need the extra 4 pin.

maroammar reacted to WoodenMarker in how can i overclock i9 99000 with this power supply
Yes, it's plenty of power for oc'ing. The extra 4pin cable is unnecessary and mainly used for extreme oc'ing that often requires exotic cooling like LN2.
