  1. Thanks for all the input, I completely agree on paper manufactures aren't always truthful! I mainly went to PC gamer, gamers nexus, tech radar, Tom's hardware ect..... good to know I chose the master. Would you mind expanding more on how to make the bios better that's is another problem I see, but most will say that once you get use to it it's not bad. On another topic GPU's... I dont want or need the extra rgb or the heat and price. I would like to return the aorus card and get a different one msi and Asus rog strix seem to be solid cards. Will I need to do anything extra to make the board and card compatible? Would it be better just to stick to the rtx 2080 gaming oc 8gb. Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe they have a windforce model of the gaming oc aswell.
  2. So comparing these two there are some differences but I dont see why one is better than the other? The ultra is reviewed as the better mobo but comes at a cheaper price. I know price doesnt reflect quality but if it's a better board you would think gigabyte would price it higher than the other right? The designare is one I'm looking at but to stay competitive price with these two I would drop a m.2 slot plus some other things, while gaining others. Any opinions will help alot thanks! I'm running it on a 9900k D-15 cooler 2 1tb m.2 nvme ssd 32gb 3200mhz ddr4 Was going to use the aorus rtx 2080 8gb windforce but with the temp differences and price compared to a msi, Asus, or even its predecessor the windforce 8gb gaming oc GPU. I will probably return the aorus GPU. 850watt rmx psu Meshify s2 Let me know what you think!
  3. I have a question about gigabytes aorus rtx 2080 windforce 8gb. When you compare it to the gigabyte geforce rtx 2080 windforce 8gb oc, the performance difference is little to none but the price differences by 100 dollars. Please if anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated!
  4. When you compare on benchmark or GPU compare site's, there is such a small difference that I can barely tell. base clock mhz all of it is the same. Their is only one or two things are different and by a percent or point. Any help would be greatly appreciated! I really hope I didnt just throw 100$ just for branding....
  5. Gigabyte AORUS GeForce RTX 2080 8G Graphics Card, 3X Stacked Windforce Fans, 8GB 256-Bit GDDR6, GV-N2080AORUS-8GC Video Card this one is 799$ Gigabyte GeForce RTX 2080 Windforce 8G Graphics Card, 3X Windforce Fans, 8GB 256-Bit GDDR6, GV-N2080WF3-8GC Video Card 699$
  6. All the research I can do into these cards show little to no difference in performance. The 100$ is the only thing that I can tell. Is it just because of the aorus brand? They can both be overclocked as far as I can same performance ratings. Was wondering if anyone can find why the aorus is 100$ more?
  7. Thanks I'm going with the big one the d15 which doesnt come with thermal paste already applied so I'll either brush it on or use a flat pad to flatten it out. Any recommendations on thermal paste. Some say you'll get a degree or two using different ones like the kryonaut is it really worth buying?
  8. What do you use thermal paste like noctua or kryonaut or thermal pads? I'd rather stay away from conducting materials on the CPU, also is there really a difference between most thermal paste? I perfer noctua paste I've seen videos that say you cant overclock on it which made me laugh. Any opinions using a 9900k. What works best for you or what you perfer
  9. @RotoCoreOne I've been debating getting that alot of people said it had issue when showing darker areas of the game or something that's black looks distorted. I take it you haven't noticed any of that? That was my first choice since it's cheaper than most.
  10. Another question that msi monitor @Fr4nt1s3k suggested is curved but not to the extreme of others I've seen. Is that kind of a middle ground between falt and curved?
  11. Why do you say its snake oil. I get it's such a small difference between 1 and 4m. I have read post that say it can make a big difference and others say you cant tell.
  12. Also I'm asking if you use them or have used a few and what you perfer. I know Asus strix are suppose to be the best but they come with a major price tag. Msi seem to have in between reviews. Also pixio since it's a newer company was wondering if anyone has use them?
  13. Well I have done alot of leg work such as dells but they seem to have issues with black colors.
  14. I have the system to run these monitors, So I'm thinking at spending about 4 to 500$ on a gsync monitor with those specs( not sure if I want a ta tn or IPS pannenl I dont perfer curved panels either).these will be used for gaming streaming editing ect.... If you can share your experiences with monitors like this or if you have any recommendations it would help alot! Also I know there are freesybt that can run gsync is it harder to set up or would it be Better to just tk stick with a gsync?
  15. I'm using the z390 aorus master. So I'll do two 16s. I also had planned to get two more 16s down the road
  16. So is it better to split your ram up and use all slots available or use the most the one slot will allow.
  17. One thing I've noticed no one mentioned is that the ti stands for titanium in the GPU.
  18. I have found monitors that call it 2k or like @Enderman 2.5k at 1440p no need to just focus on that. what 1440p monitor do you have? My build @JoostinOnline @dizmo 9900k Noctua d15 Aosur master 32gb ddr4 3200 2tb ssd m.2 Rtx 2080 8 gb aorus xtreme Meshify s2 Rmx 750 watt Monitors are two old p.o.s. ? just got it together that's why. I have the build for it I was just curious how you liked them? And what brand or specific one you would recommend
  19. So I'm looking at 2k monitors trying to stay at 120hz to 144hz 1ms response time gsync. What monitor do you have or recommend I'm trying to keep the budget as low as possible although it seems you cant get a good one for 350$, most have dead pixels or bad colors just issues. So then your looking at 400 to 500$ which I plan on getting two so that's alot of money for me! But then the argument comes up well your gonna be staring at it all day working on it all day so you should spend that money. I'm torn honestly. Do you have any great 2k monitors or would you suggest to stick with a 1080p?
  20. Intel on a gigabyte GPU I'll have to try those out ther are some things I do want and I'm finding alot of it you can do for free
  21. I figure you'll have tips on what to use as a os and softwar for editing? I'm thinking windows 10 64 bit, there's a few editing softwares that i looked at and liked. I imagine you've tried a few yourself. I'm somewhat new to video editing but I've messed around with other editing software. So triming and adding music simple things like that I can do, and what I cant do there are tutorials and guides to help me out. What would you recommend being a well rounder for games?
  22. Your correct i was looking for a new case I've got one figured out now. Thanks
