  1. Yes i know but when i get 5ghz witch 1.28V on my cheap MB, is there a possibility that i would achieve that on lower voltage with better MB?
  2. Hi, I have i7 8086K paired with msi z370 A-PRO motherboard. Is this MB capable of overclocking higher than 5.1GHZ? Because on 1.28V im able to get 5GHZ and on 1.33V (maybe lower) I can get 5.1GHZ but even 1.4V isn't enough to run 5.2GHZ stable. And second question if i decide to buy new motherboard, will the MSI Z370 GAMING M5 good choice or would you recommed me something diferent? (The best would be MSI MB)
  3. It will also consume less power, so you will save some money.
  4. Ok, yes 5GHZ is fine for me but I really love overclocking and it makes me really excited when i reach some even small frequenzy boost. And deliding for less noise would be pointless for me because noctua NH-U14S running at 100% makes nearly no noise.
  5. Hi, so I OCed my 8086K to 5GHZ@1.28V and it's working just fine. I have a cooler Noctua NH-U14S and my temps don't go over 70°C while gaming and over 84°C while stresstesting with Prime 95 26.6. I just want to ask if i would be able to go higher if I delid it. I don't want to go over 70°C when gaming. And second question about silicon lottery. Is my chip average, better or worse than average? I have seen i7 8700K doing 5GHZ@1.2V . Thanks for answers and also you can share your OC result of 8086K or 8700K.
