    Have you considered going back to the driver just before your problem appeared? If its not a hardware issue and multiple reports of it are being made, there is a strong chnace that it is a software issue. I suggest rolling back your drivers and seeing if that works.

    Is there a possibility that the thermal compound got damaged over use and time and now its not making sufficient contact to maintanin stable temperatures?

    You could try it in the OC section above M-Bios. Haven't owned a MSI board personally. I'm familiar with the Asus ones.

    Definitley some good advice, you could also check which profile is loaded in the bios, and if your motherboard has AI tools, maybe they could be causing the misshap.

    16:10 is a good choice, but if you want to be able to seamlesly view multiple things (programs) in the same moment, I would suggest the ultrawide.

    I was about to post a simmilar thing but you beat me to it. The Intel cpus have an average 6% game performance lead in the lower end. Since he isn't planning on video edditing, the Intel could stay? I also agree on the 1650 Super.

    A single focus (I said that because I don’t know the specific name) is something I would describe as the opposite of mesh. Delivering focused service to a singular device.

    We get our wifi via cable, that goes directly into the router and is sent out to where it is needed. We have a Cisco EPC3928.

    So, I've recently started to get a bit frustrated by my home wifi. I understand that its the pandemic situation and that the network servers under constant load. I have a 150 Mbps package and I am getting around 90 when I use a ethernet cable. I've come to divide the blame onto the ifi provider and the router. I have the classic cisco home router that almost every wuropean wifi provider offers. I've been giving some thoughts about getting a new router. But here's the catch. My family needs a mesh router, becasuse they live in a two floored house, with multiple rooms. On the other hand I need a single focus router. I've been looking at the Asus GTAC2900. One of the reasons for that is my laptop being ROG, I could have more control over the router itself. The wifi provided by the company is wifi-4. So if anyone has some suggestions, since I'm relatively new to the networking field comapred to my usual harware interest. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    So I used the cheeky method, I went to advance power profiles and set my CPU maximum to 80%. It maintained 3.9 GHZ when it was on 100%, and was at around 83-85 C. Now it maintains 2.9-3 GHZ and is at around 77-80 C. These settings were applied to the "plugged in" power setting. The minimum is set to 100% and the max to 80%. Small fix if you don't mind a 30-50 FPS decrease. It was mostly around 180-200 FPS on high settings in War Thunder. Now it maintains 120-135 FPS.

    I talked to Asus employees and they said that any modifications to the device in order to increase its performance will void the warranty. I think Asus uses quality thermal paste so replacing it is not an immediate concern. will however wait until the warranty expires and undervolt the CPU, GPU ,cache and replace the thermal paste and pads. I just need it to be OK for around 5-6 months and then I will do a thermal service. I am also planning on cleaning it from dust but I don't think dust is a problem since Asus laptops have the active dust removal system. I just need to know will average temps of 75-85 C(it is probably around 83 C average when running War Thunder on high settings) damage the laptop. Plus the GPU sits at a constant 70 C when under massive load and a big OC, so that suggests that generally the 8th gen Intel mobile CPUs are quite hot anyways.

    So, I would like some help on undervolting my i7 8750H in my GX531GW. It reaches around 77-85 C while gaming and maintains 3.914 mhz. While doing the intel stress test on the extreme tuner app, I got thermal and power limit throttling. Thermal throttling was not that much frequent as power limit throttling. So I would like to know if anyone has done thins undervolt and how does it work with the already existing hyperfan modes? And of course would it void my warranty?

    I solved it. On Nvidia control panel select your dedicated gou for physix. In 3D settings. Worked for me.

    So I have a laptop. RTX 2070 Max Q When I fire up MSI Afterburner, every 2 or 3 seconds, it looses connection to the Gpu and then re-gains it displaying Lost connection to Gpu 1. Is this a software issue or is a connection on my motherboard poorly made. Same thing happens in other Gpu software.

    It is included and it has a pre built OC feature. But Msi Afterburner doesent work either. It just buggs me. And the cpu temp controls the fan. And with the cpu temp invalid the fan goes crazy.

    So I recently bought a Asus Rog GX531GW. It came with the new Armoury Crate software. About 2-3 weeks ago the Gpu Load section began displaying the wrong info. Example: (Frequency=-1 Mhz, Gpu temp=-32000 C) The Cpu temp box also started malfunctioning, one second it is 44 C and the other it is 79 C. I contacted support and they told me to update the software. Didn’t work! So I reinstalled it 2 times and again, it didn’t work! I reset my entire Windows. Didn’t work! I installed Msi Afterburner and it kept showing me Lost connection to Gpu 1. I want to think this is a software issue but I don't think it is. Gpu runs fine in games. Just that any monitoring software doesn't function properly. Could it be a Motherboard soldering issue or a direct Gpu issue?
