  1. Hello, I was wondering what the best way to clean the the LTT mouse pad? I love the mouse pad it is just getting very dirty. Thankyou for any help you can give me.
  2. Yea I can do that. I think that you are right about boot repair+live disk for grub. I cannot do that until after I finish my dissertation. But Your advice will help me fix the problem when I get the time. Thankyou!!
  3. yes, got "Windows Resource Protection could not start the repair service" yea, I screwed something up when installing, I am planning on whipping everything this summer, just cannot do that during the school year. Once I graduate....fresh start on everything.
  4. That is a good idea that I forgot about. It might work but my system is duel boot and I have had problems in the past where running repair install does funny things with grub.
  5. I am having a bunch of problem with Window 10. 1. Cannot remove bluetooth devices 2. cannot get any update: Download error - 0x80004002 3. Window Defener seems to be missing (see attached ) I am assuming all these problems are related but not sure how to fix the problem. Does anyone have any idea how I can solve these problems? I really dont want to reload windows right now.
  6. I am having trouble removing and repairing my Sony WH-1000XM4 head phones from windows. They show up as a bluetooth device but I cannot use them for audio. When ever I try to connect to them they say "Paired" Then when I try to remove the device fails. I have tried everything to get them to remove including removing them in device manager, removing it from my phone a device and non of this has worked. Can some please help me? I have no idea what to do
  7. I am looking for the best way to switch my duel monitors between my desktop and laptop. What is the best way to do this? I am assuming some KVM. Is there a better solution?
  8. So what I am getting is that windows might work but I will need to reinstall drivers and what now. I have a recovery disk that I should be able to use to keep my personal files. would that be the best way? I care way more about my linux boot disk which I am assuming will be more friendly. I am also keeping my old graphics hard. just a new MOBO and CPU. I finally got my hands a 5900x in the newegg shuffle after waiting since it came out.
  9. I am moving my drives to anther PC. in my current PC I have two M.2 boot drives (windows and linux) and a couple data drives. Can I just move the drives over and I will be up and running? I would normally whip the drives and do a fresh install but I am student and have things installed and set up that I rather not spend time reinstalling and setting up since it works right now. Just trying to get an understand on what I expect to see when I move thing over.
  10. Absolutely, but what does it say about the company that it does not know what is happening internally? yep.
  11. I agree, they are in business to make money, nothing else. Does this shady business deals and from what it looks like out that the right hand does not know what the left hand is doing indicate anything about there actual products? If they are willing do strong arm reviews, then misleading the products specs is possible. This is why 3rd party reviews are good, I guess.
  12. I agree, I just got a new MSI board for that reason. I just feel bad supporting a company that clearly is unethical.
  13. So in full disclosure I have a 2 MSI MOBOs and 1 MSI graphics card. However, with everything that has come out with MSI over the past year or so with there shady business practess, should you be buying there products. Over the past year a number of "scandals" have emerged.. The most recent being the scalping of graphics cards and not to long before the review of the laptop. And the death of the last CEO. Should we still be supporting this company? What are the trade off between buying a product you like vs supporting a bad company? related: https://www.dailyesports.gg/msi-ceo-charles-chiang-dies-after-falling-from-building-aged-56/
  14. The Crucial kits have slightly better secondary timings
