  1. So I'm seeing 2 different answers for this, but I'm wondering if the 3600X comes with the Prism Cooler or the Spire.
  2. I need some help overclocking my memory. Right now it defaults to 2400. When I turn on the XMP, i get a lot of app crashes. Could the full 3200 be too fast for my 1700X? I don't know how to overclock ram manually. Ive watched videos but cant find anything that uses my bios.
  3. I have had my system running on F40 for 12 hours now and I havent had any issues.
  4. I have my 1700X overclocked to 3.9 Ghz and I didnt need to touch voltage. I have the same board.
  5. There is a new BIOS update for 3rd Gen Ryzen (ver. F40). However I ran into an issue where Q-Flash is telling me the Bios file is an invalid bios image. You may have better luck, but I already submitted a problem with Gigabyte.
  6. I have a B450 Aorus M Motherboard with a 1700X overclocked to 3.9 GHZ, I have the 16GB Team Nighthawk RGB 3200. When I run the XMP profile from the Bios It runs at 3200 but I run into my games crashing like cs go. I went into the BIOS and clocked the memory to 3000 and I dont get any crashes. Should I try just overclocking the memory to 3200 not using the xmp profile?
  7. the temps did not go down after the new thermal paste. I use the same thermal paste for my cpu and i am currently overclocked and my cpu stays cool. Wow just updated dx12 support for multithread support.
  8. I have had MSI afterburner installed for awhile to monitor that. I dont overclock my gpu which is why im so confused on why this is happening. current hardware has been nothing new. I changed cases for better air flow which im getting now. I had to put my fans to 80% to get the temps under control. letting the fans auto control doesnt cool it enough and temps get into the 80's.
  9. I have successfully overclocked my 1700x to 4Ghz and I was messing with my fan settings when i noticed something i wasnt sure about. In my smart5 fan setting i can control the speed, there are 4 setting: Normal, Silent, PWM, and Full Speed. Do I want to set them to PWM since I have Pwm fans or does normal work the same way?, Same thing for my cpu fan setting, I'm using a hyper 212 to cool my 1700x and the max temps its hitting is 55c which Im very please with, I just want to make sure I have the right settings for my fans. Thank you in advance.
  10. not yet, weve been having cool weather and windows open cool air flowing through the house
  11. Amazon has some really good addressable rgb fans. Look for UpHere pwn fans, comes in a 6 pack with controller abd sync to mother via 3 pin 5v. They have really great airflow and the rgb is pretty good. 45 for the set. Make sure you get the pwm set, there is a set that is not pwm.
  12. its never run this hot before though, its a new development. Its used to never get above 65 on Ultra setting in WoW.
  13. Hey first time poster. I just joined too. Ok, I have a Gigabyte RX 580 8GB Gaming gpu and it's running hot while gaming medium setting. I have case fans at 100%(3 intake 2 exhaust). I know its not an air flow problem because I have my 1700x overclocked to 3.8ghz and thats stays under 50c with Hyper 212. I just put new thermal paste on the dye and dusted but its still running hot even with fan curve at 75%. Gpu settings are stock. While gaming (WoW, Overwatch) on medium settings seems to be the worst. Im not pushing high fps either. Can anyone help me out? :) Specs: 1700x 3.8 ghz overclocked 16GB Nighthawk RGB 3200 B450 Aorus M Gigabyte RX 580 8GB Gaming
