  1. You need to have a CPU and RAM in order for it to work mate.
  2. Well yeah,I do have a multimeter ,but what should i measure? Resistance between the ground on the power outlet and a known good ground?
  3. Hi.I've recently noticed that when I touch metal parts of my pc case,it zaps me.I don't think it's ESD,it feels like some kind of thinkle.I've went ahead and took the side panels off, there's nothing that seems weird or out of place, but I noticed that when screwing the side screws to put the side panels back on,there were literally electric arcs going from the case to the screw and then to my body (the pc was on when this happened, and the arcs were about 1-2mm). The more alarming thing is that my pc has been giving me random crashes, and I think this short on the case might be the reason. When it crashes it just remains froze and the only thing I can do is shut it down using the power button .Also, when these crashes happen, the PC on time shown in task manager goes to 0 when I restart it.(when you use the windows built-in shut down button and you turn it back on ,PC on time doesn't go to 0,it just continues even when the PC is "off") Specs: Mobo: GA X58A-UD7 CPU: Xeon w3570 RAM:16gb 1333mhz PSU:OCZ 600 SXS (1st revision) Case:NXZT M59 GPU:RX 480 4gb Sapphire 1x1tb WD Blue HDD ,1x500gb Samsung HDD
  4. Can it help if I undervolt?
  5. I understand, but it's not like this APU is some kind of powerhouse. It's designed to use 15w when both CPU and GPU are running max clocks. This notebook's power delivery and cooling can't even hadle that.
  6. Wow.That's a really stupid design.Even worse than apple.
  7. Let's say it's power limit that restricts it from hitting it's full 1100mhz clock, but it isn't even maintaining 900mhz.It goes all the way down to 400-500mhz , which is it's base clock, and it keeps running at that frequency,It won't go back to 900mhz.Only way to get it up there again is to stop the app and launch it again.
  8. I know they're normal in laptops, but shouldn't it at least reach it's max core clock before it hits power limit?
  9. Hi. I've recently got this great deal on a laptop. It's an HP 15-db0050nq laptop with a Ryzen 5 2500u and Vega 8 iGPU.I use it mostly for school work and some esports games, but i've noticed something.I ran Unigine Valley and noticed the iGPU only boosts to about 900mhz,and then suddenly drops to 400-500mhz.The max temperature is about 70 degrees C, but the frequency doesnt drop when the temperature hits the max, it goes down after quite a lot of time after that, at which time temperature is about 65-68 C.
  10. He's got mobile data from his phone,he has like 20-30GB a month. He'll waste like half his data if he does that.
  11. Hi.This friend of mine keeps getting this problem when he's playing CSGO (only happens in this game) and the game kind of crahses ,on the screen it says "Auto detect analog input",but the taskbar still works fine.He presses alt tab to enter the game again, doesn't work.If he stops the game and starts it again it works for some time and does it again .This would randomly happen when he's playing. He's got kind of a low end pc. CPU:Celeron G1610 4gb DDR3 1600mhz Corsair Dual Channel Asrock H61m-vg3. Intel iGPU The monitor he has is an old Dell ,17 or 19 inch, 1280x1024 75hz,i tried running it at 60hz too ,didn't solve anything, also tried running vsync on in game, thought there might be a problem with the refresh rate of the monitor and the low fps his pc was outputting. He's running on VGA. Any ideas? received_2888283867896662.mp4

  13. Hi.A friend of mine has this problem and keeps asking me what to do.He has this error when playing csgo, where basically the whole screen turns black and says "Auto detect:Analog input",but the taskbar stays on (I uploaded a video he sent me on messenger). Any ideas?Could this be GPU related? received_2888283867896662.mp4
  14. Depends on where you live.In USA that "Warranty void if removed" sticker is kind of useless. You can take it off and legally they won't be able to refuse to repair it, should something happen. But changing the thermal pads, i'm not so sure if it will void the warranty or not.
  15. I would also suggest the Vega 64.The GTX 1080 drivers will only get worse performance over time. And I'm pretty sure that as long as you don't have a CPU with big power consumption(like something over 200W), your PSU will do just fine(I assume you do have all adequate PSU Connectors for the Vega64).And the 3 year warranty is also a big bonus not only for you,but for it's next owner, should you choose to upgrade before the end of the warranty, and it will also give it a bigger resell value (again, should you choose to sell it before the end of the warranty) As for the 1070, i wouldn't recommend it, since you said you wanted close to 75FPS (I assume at 1080p) in games. But also I wouldn't be skeptical, 1070s are readily available at 150Euros, at least where I live. But sure, if the guy lives somewhere close , do some stress testing for at least 30 minutes.
