  1. Have you tried reconnecting all the cables from the PSU to the motherboard? Might be something shorting the reset switch, when's the last time you've cleaned your PC?
  2. It would be better to just back-up your documents, then keep a list of the programs you are using, then do a clean install of Windows. You could pretty much use Windows 10 without a license, with minor annoyances.
  3. Good day guys, so I just finished building my first PC, and I was happy to say the least. Here are my build's part list: -i5 8400 - GTX 970 -NZXT H440 Razer ed. case -NZXT Kraken X61 -Thermaltake Riing 14 kit (for the X61 rad and for one more exhaust fan) -Corsair HX1200i -Asus Z370 Prime -Hyperx 8GB DDR4 2400 MHz -Teamforce 120GB SSD This is gonna be long so bare with me. So before I started building the PC, I've watched videos and read the manuals of the parts I am using. So I managed to completely build the PC, and mind you, learning where to plug those numerous cables was tough. So after it posted and booted to Windows, everything was fine, but then I noticed that any of the front pre-installed fans and the LEDs were not working. I knew they had hubs for each of them so I rechecked, the LEDs should be working because the 4-pin cable to Molex was plugged, checked I also checked the connection to the PSU, which seems fine. So I just skipped that, then when I went to the fan hub, my Thermaltake kit was working fine (it is connected to the FAN 1 4-pin port), but the other fans (the ones included in the case) were not working, then I saw that the 3-pin cable going to the fan hub is not connected, so I figured that maybe that was the culprit because no power was going to the hub. The 3-pin plug was connected to the Molex to the PSU, and the 4-pin (which is plugged into the LED hub) was also connected to the same Molex end. It is basically one cable with one 3-pin and one 4-pin plugs and a molex at the end. I turned on the PC, and to my shock, something was burning, so I turned off my PC immediately then checked what burned. My initial idea was the 3-pin cable I just plugged onto the fan hub, and I was right! It was a relief that only that cable got damaged, and all the other parts were still working good (hopefully!). So my questions are: 1) How come the Thermaltake fans (4-pin connected to FAN 1) still turned on when the 3-pin cable for power was disconnected in the fan hub, but the 3 pre-installed front fans were not (they have 3-pin plugs going to the fan hub, FAN 2, 3, 4). 2) Why did the 3-pin cable from the fan hub to the Molex end burn, while the 4-pin cable plugged onto LED hub on the same Molex was unaffected? Specifically the GROUND wire was the only cable that melted on the 3-pin cable. 3) Could the problem be the PSU? Or that specific port? The Molex cable for the PSU is connected to the SATA/peripheral port, that is correct, right? Any help is appreciated. Hopefully, some H440 Razer users could help me with this. Thanks guys
  4. Parts: NZXT H440 Razer ed., Thermaltake 14 kit, stock H440 fans. Hello there mates, so I just finished my first build. I was very cautious upon building it as I don't want to destroy these expensive parts (for me anyways). So upon reviewing manuals for the motherboard, fans, and the case, everything seems to work out fine. Though upon finishing it and doing some cable management, I noticed that the front fans of the case and the LEDs built into the case are not turning on. My case is the NZXT H440 Razer edition, using the installed front fans and also used the Thermaltake Riing 140mm fans kit with the controller. So I checked all my connections, my Thermaltake fans were plugged in the controller, that is plugged in the fan hub located at the middle of the case. Also, the three front fans were also connected in the fan hub, but they were not working. I checked the LED connections also, they had a seperate board, where it is connected to a MOLEX cable to the PSU, but that should power it on, right? So I saw at the end of the MOLEX and 4-pin cable connected to the LED board was a 2-pin cable. I thought that maybe that I needed to connect that to the fan hub to power up the fans. And so I did, but the 2-pin cable connected to the MOLEX end burnt! Now I do not know what to do next, and where else have I gone wrong. Was thinking of just plugging in directly the fans to the motherboard. Please help!
