  1. Those're what I figured, but I just wanted to ask; thanks a bunch
  2. I would back-up any important files, prior, just in case there're any issues due to the drivers or somethin else so you're covered
  3. I have a couple of questions I believe I already know the answer to, but I'd like to know for sure: 1) If I purchase a NVME Gen4 and set the socket to Gen3, will it work at Gen3 speeds w/out all of the Gen4 heat/thermals? 2) If I purchase a NVME Gen4 and put it into a Gen3 socket, would it just work at Gen3 speeds w/out compatibility issues? I know some motherboards won't allow non-Gen4 drives in them depending on the processor, but it's excluding those.
  4. It's been a week and I haven't seen a single issue w/power flux, whatsoever. The sound'll get bad when there's a lot goin on w/the PC, such as multiple updates, but no power/restart issues - I would say it's good-to-go as of now; hope you're able to figure out what's wrong w/your rig & get the same outcome.
  5. Update: So I've installed the refurbished 1000w power supply and been usin it for a few hours. No issues w/any critical or power-based errors in Event Viewer as of now. If there're any other issues, then I'll update you, again. I haven't had the crackling for a little bit, although I did have it on my back-up PC, which's an: i7-8700k 32gb RAM RTX 3080 12gb I'm guessin it had to do w/a Windows Update, since they're the common denominators between the two in terms of absolute & many people complainin about the cracklin sound on forums. I'm not sure why it was happenin, but it's gone for me on both systems as of now. It's all workin well as of now. EVGA also sent me new cables, along w/my refurbished power supply, but I didn't swap any of then for time sakes & the representative stated as long as there's no visible damage to the cables, then they're more than likely not the issue; if I still had issues, then I would've swapped them as the next step.
  6. I replaced the old RAM and RMA'd it (still in box), so it's new RAM in there, which passed my MemTests; hopefully it's not the RAM Slots, but we'll see what happens w/the RMA'd Power Supply.
  7. I'm currently goin through an RMA w/EVGA for my 1000w Power Supply, so it'll be about 2-3 weeks before I see it returned due to them bein on the other side of the country. I'll update you if anything changes, otherwise it'll be back to the drawing board. I updated my BIOS not long ago, but it didn't fix anything. I was gettin errors I checked which were tied to PCIe issues, which I would guess're my PCIe cables, so hopefully it'll be fixed w/the Power Supply swap.
  8. If both're failin, then it could be your cable and/or port on the monitor; try a new cable and/or a different port.
  9. I'm having the same exact issues - I went into the Event Viewer on my PC and it's stating I'm having an issue w/power delivery through my PCIe, but I'm not sure if it's the cables and/or the NVMe Drive. I'm still trouble-shooting, but I found something that might help you. I did it and it worked for a day, but then the issues came back. I did a complete re-install of Windows 10 Pro, fresh NVIDIA Drivers and replaced my battery back-up, but nothing has helped long-term as of now. If I find something which works, I'll post here to help. I've been havin these issues for over a week, now. Check your Event Viewer to see if it's a power issue. I've seen a Tech YouTuber, UFD Tech, state people're havin issues w/dual-screen w/the NVIDIA Drivers, which I had, to the point it would constantly Blue Screen. I've removed the 2nd screen and the BSoD eventually stopped, but the power cycling and random resets keep occurring. The Fix is in the BIOS, if it works for you; if not, then we're still havin the same issue. My hardware isn't overheating, so I've ruled it out as a possibility.
  10. It was an issue w/the NVIDIA 536.99 Drivers; it's gone w/the new one
  11. "nvlddmkm.sys" this's all I can catch before the computer boots back - I go into the BIOS and set it, so it's activated w/an HDMI cord from the Motherboard to the 2nd Monitor, directly; nothin goes through the Graphics Card to the 2nd screen.
  12. I have my 2nd monitor goin through my i9-10900k & it seems to crash to the point my computer BSoD. I was wondering if it's a common issue and/or if there're any useful troubleshooting tips to correct the issue. It's goin to a 1440p/165Hz monitor set to 1080p/60Hz via HDMI (there isn't a DP on my motherboard). All of my NVIDIA, Intel & BIOS Drivers're up-to-date. All of my hardware is in my footnote/signature.
  13. I can write that, regardless, if it's true to not; payin more money doesn't change anything in that aspect
  14. I was looking to purchase a gaming laptop just to have, but it has Windows 11 - Home. Would I be able to purchase a Windows 11 - Pro (OEM) to upgrade the OS?
  15. I'm lookin to update a general home computer from a Ryzen 5 1600 to a Ryzen 5 5600G & I'm not familiar w/all of the updating requirements. I'm usin a B450 AORUS M (update website at bottom). It's currently on the F32 version. I've already updated the EC FW Update Tool, so there's no need to worry about the step. Do I go from the F32 --> F40 (mandatory), then F63d or do I need to do smaller step in-between F40 & F63d? https://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/B450-AORUS-M-rev-1x/support#support-dl-bios Update Pages & MSInfo32 for PC Attached
  16. I was askin about FPS due to the PCIE speeds goin from 16x --> 8x from the M.2 slot bein occupied
  17. I've already been using it, but would swappin the M.2 slot cause any issues w/file location (C: drive), boot manager, etc?
  18. I have an ASUS Maximus XIII Hero w/an i9-10900k & RTX 3080 ti and my M.2 is installed in the 2nd slot. The manual states the second slot causes my PCIE 1 & 2 to go at 8x speed. If I were to switch the slot to M2_3, would it make much of a difference at all in games? I play at 1440p/240Hz (270Hz OC). Also, if I were to move my M.2_2 to M.2_3, would it change anything w/my OS, such as install locations for queries, booting, etc?
  19. The heat wasn't nearly as bad durin the winter when I was in my apartment, since my g/f at the time and I liked it cold. We would just open the door and cool the entire apartment, since I made her an i9-9900k w/EVGA RTX 3080ti FTW3; but my new place isn't as cool, so it's a little more of a struggle even moreso as summer sets in.
  20. I set mine to Sync All Cores, so it's at 5.1GHz at all times to keep steady frame rates. It's all w/in spec from my research and well-known tech enthusiasts.
  21. The top end is the same, but I'm able to go to 1080p for any games, like eSports. It's why I'm wondering if upping the Hz and downgrading the resolution would help w/the difference. I already have a Noctua NH-D15, so there isn't really much more I can do w/cooling. I also throttled it to 5.1GHz, since 5.2GHz+ immediately goes to 100c. Many other people have the same issues w/some research. I already know changing the Hz will greatly change temperatures, which's why I've had to change coolers on more than one older computer when we got 144Hz monitors at the time. They would overheat to the point the game would just crash immediately upon entering a lobby in any online multiplayer w/stock Intel coolers.
  22. I'm pretty sure it doesn't, but do higher resolutions affect CPU/processor temps? I'm looking to upgrade my 1440p/165Hz to a 1440p/270Hz monitor, but the processor already gets to 91c while gaming - I don't think it'll be able to keep up w/105FPS more than what it's already rendering. Any useful info is appreciated; thanks! Aorus 27" 1440p/165Hz IPS 1ms (FI27Q-P) --> ASUS 27” 1440p/270Hz IPS 0.5ms (XG27AQM)
  23. I'm thinkin about upgradin my monitor for more FPS for shooters (I am actually able to benefit from it - I'm not an average player), but I'm worried about heat output from my processor and thermal throttling. I'm hitting around 80-95c on *specs below* cap'd at 5.1GHz. I tried to get anything above 5.1GHz, but it just went to 100c, so I just kept it lower for stability. The monitor I have vs. what I'm goin for :Aorus FI27Q-P 27'' 1440p 165Hz --> ASUS RoG Strix XG27AQM 27'' 1440p 270Hz. I mainly play Overwatch and Gears of War 5, w/Rainbow Six: Siege once and a while, for my shooters and the other games don't really matter their FPS, since they're not shooters. I'll likely expand my shooter library when I find others I like more. I wanted some thoughts on someone whom also knows about the hardware/issue, so any useful info is appreciated; regards. 24. I know they're backwards compatible, but I was unsure if it'll work due to 10th Gen disabling the port; so it'll work purely due to it bein activated? That's what I'm lookin to find out
