  1. I did specify just Nvidia display drivers, and where is the CMOS battery, I will try that
  2. is no one really gonna help me... i know this has gotten views
  3. I own an Alienware 13 r3 Laptop, and I busted the LCD panel a while ago. I have been using it connected to an external display and external keyboard and mouse as well and it has been working fine. I recently acquired a 144 Hz monitor so I used it with the laptop as my external display and it worked great as well... now I am basically using it as a desktop. I ordered a DisplayPort to Mini DisplayPort cable and it would show the display but it would not let me change it to use 144 Hz, only 60. after some searching around I found that running DDU and reinstalling the graphics drivers would fix the issue. I started to run the DDU tool and then the laptop shut completely off, I let it run until I heard the machine turn completely off and I let it sit for about an hour to see if it needed to do anything else on its own. when I tried to turn it back on, it will not even post. the screen backlight was not even come on, and the power button was flashing red. also there was a beeping coming out of the laptop, it was 3 beeps a pause 2 beeps a pause then one beep, a longer pause then it would restart the beeping cycle until i turned it off. I have tried contacting dell and they say that they will not only fix the issue about it booting but they wil fix the broken screen as well, and it costs like 400 just for the screen alone which is money i do not have. I would really appreciate any advice on how to fix this. I am desperate now as there is nothing on google that has been helpful. I do not mind the busted LCD panel as i used the laptop as a desktop for a long time. I just want to be able to use the computer. Someone please
