  1. Yea, other than the main partition being smaller being a smaller drive it was all copied over. Both are GPT
  2. Wondering if any of you lot can help me out here, I currently have windows 11 installed on a 1tb sabrent rocket m.2 gen 3 with 300gb used, I cloned my os using acronis to a new 500gb WD black m.2 gen 4 everything seems to of copied OK but when I go to boot off the WD drive the screens black with my cursor popping up every few seconds with the little thinking icon next to the cursor. I can install a fresh copy of Windows and that works absolutely fine. It's not the end of the world if I have to start again but ideally I'd rather not.
  3. first of all i would like to thank anyone taking their time to look at my post. i brought a sabrent rocket 1tb m.2 nvme as main boot drive and all worked fine for about a month, now all of a sudden it won't always post and when it does my m.2 won't always show up as a boot drive in the bios when i first turn my pc on for the day. After turning it off and on again a few times it'll work just fine. its just always that 1st boot of the day or is my pc has been off for a few hours. when this does happen and it don't show in the bios it still shows up when i put in my windows installation usb, tried to see if it would let me install windows again since i didn't have anything important to lose. At first it wouldn't let me because it was saying is has an EMR partition table. On EFI systems, windows can only be installed to GPT disk. so i assumed it was playing up becasue of the partition so changed it to GPT and installed windows. All seemed fine at 1st then today it started playing up again. I have a 128GB SSD and a 2TB HDD they always show up and work just fine no problems. The only other thing i could think of was maybe my PSU is playing up and takes a few minites when it 1st turns on, i have a 650w bronze nzxt one but its like 9 years now but since i could still install windows even when my m.2 isn't showing up in bios i really don't have a clue. Specs: Motherboard: Asus strix b450-e gaming CPU: Ryzen 5 3600x memory: Corcair Vengeance LPX 2x8GB 3600mhz GPU: XFX RX580 OS: Windows 10 BIOS: 3004 Storage: Sabrent rocket 1tb m.2 nvme Crucial 128gb ssd WD 2tb HDD PSU: NZXT 650w Bronze Last 3 parts are all from OLD build and are about 9 years oldish. Just seen there's a new bios version but with the issues I'm having I'm a little reluctant to update the bios just yet. Im at a loss so any help from you wonderful lot would be greatly appreciated.
  4. had a look on Hardware Secrets and i'm quite surprised iv'e had no problems with my PSU at all no problems with crashes ripples noise etc but i my system only uses like 400w so can't say what will happen if under more load, will just have to see if i do have any problems when its under more load then ill have to get another one.
  5. Had it awhile got it free from a Hexus competition

  7. NZXT HALE82N 650W. I heard that AMD CPUs weren't that great for games like wow and tera compared to intel,
  8. thx guys for the quick replys, couldn't think of what the game capture software nvidia used was called but will be using shadowplay, game wise will be for mainly for Project Cars(pCars) which will be doing most of the recording of, Battlefield 4, COD: Black ops 2/Ghosts, AC Black Flag, Crysis, Tera online, WoW which will also be recording, will be a few other games but for now these are the main games im playing. Also will a 650w PSU be enough?
  9. I'm upgrading my system after the new year and in wondering would the Intel I7 make much difference compared to an I5 with a 780 ti for gaming? Might do some fraps as well.
  10. hey, what difference does it make for video capture using fraps and video rendering?
