  1. sorry to bump an old thread but i went with the p11plus as the hardware is just better. i valued hardware over software.
  2. i never had my redmi note 7 crash. i am using the original xiaomi miui rom though so not rooted and no custom rom
  3. why would you even want a carrier locked phone? yea it is cheaper bur you dont really own your device. just get a lower end unlocked phone where you are not locked into any carrier. maybe things just are different here in my part of germany but noone that i know has a carrier locked phone. we all bought our phones outright and then just popped whatever sim card into it. id also rather buy a used cheaper car outright than lease an expensive one. but that is just my philosophy.
  4. try downloading just the quallcomm driver and use that
  5. probably the case. dont ask me why the quoted text is in spanish? as i dont know or speak spanish and i defenitely typed this in english
  6. logitech k380 or k480 is what i would recommend. the k480 is a bit heavy and loud but has a slot where you can put your ipad into. the 380 has no slot but is more compact and quieter. was undecided between the two myself but went with the 380 ultimately as size, weight and sound or lack thereof mattered more to me than a built in stand. both of them have a function where you can pair up to 3 devices and are able to switch between them quickly and easily. also the build and feel is pretty good atleast on the 380 which i have.
  7. turn graphics settings down and install the driver for the igpu from intels website. the included drivers are garbo.
  8. does it still show the at&t logo when no sim card is inserted? idk if samsung phones show the providers logo when the sim is inserted in the phone but it shouldnt show it i think. you most likely got scammed tbh. talk to the walmart support about it. it seems it is still locked to the carrier. as i said i am not shure as i never owned a previously locked phone.
  9. really? i have never seen an lcd panel get burn in eve the old ass ones that i pulled from storage a while back didnt have it and they where used at an office every day with very static elements like the windows taskbar and word outlook etc.!
  10. I have now gotten the stylus and i have to say it isnt bad for beeing compatible with all capacitive touchscreens. it writes ok but you have to be careful to not rest your hand on the screen because the device isnt able to differentiate between your finger/palm and the stylus. you also shouldnt hold it at an angle too extreme because it either doesnt work or the line drifts away from the tip of the stylus. drawing diagonal lines has a bit of wobble in it. so in conclusion if all you want to do is take notes and solve equations it is fine but for drawing it isnt good. if your tablet/phone doesnt support an active stylus get this one if it does support one get the one for the device as they have preassure sensitivity are more accurate and have palm rejection.
  11. true custom rom is your savior here tbh. people have made devices that where made for android 4 run android 10 that way just fine. since you are out of warranty anyways why not do it
  12. oh ok i you have a point there fir media consumption you obviously dont need the fancy 6 dof headsets. but what about attaching a bunch of ir lights to an ocolus quest? would that work?
  13. the s6 lite is a bit overkill for that though. i would get the tab A and save a buck if she doesnt need the spen they are pretty good tablets at a cheaper pricepoint.
  14. vr only died on phones and thats a good thing in my opinion. it makes it feel more serious than before.
  15. sadly the dash 3's order got cancelled but i ordered another one: https://www.expert.de/shop/unsere-produkte/computer-zubehor/tablets/eingabestifte/17091142410-aktiver-eingabestift-pro-mit-ultrafeiner-1-5-mm-spitze-fuer-tablets.html?adword=zentrale_tgads%2Fmain%2F17091142410-aktiver-eingabestift-pro-mit-ultrafeiner-1-5-mm-spitze-fuer-tablets&campaignid&gclid=CjwKCAiAnO2MBhApEiwA8q0HYQ2NIYsOq0ztLQ2TLXVR7Velkx3pNsv5poghkICtCTuIhNLXLXhlGBoCzDEQAvD_BwE this one looks to have a slightly finer tip but works ultimately in the same way. will post my thoughts on it here when i get it.
  16. huh maybe the newer ios version was making the cpu work harder drawing more current thus weakening the battery in some way
  17. uninstall and reinstall the app! that helped with my moms tab A 2020. If that doesnt work i dont know i never owned a samsung smartphone/tablet. my tablet is a huawei.
  18. this is the exact reason why i have 2 seperate emails 1 for the important stuff like google microsoft steam amazon etc. and the other one for random crap like apps that force you to sign in with email for no reason or stuff like that as for migrating the google account to a different i am afraid the answer is most likely no however the thing that i found only talks about gmail adresses so you might have luck migrating from @ live to @ outlook besides do you really need your google email all that much? you dont use gmail and the rest doesnt need the email for every step another idea i had is to block every mail adress going to your account except the ones from google althoug i dont know how to accomplish that.
  19. did you use it in the cold more? did you use a faster charger than before? if so that might explain it.
  20. can someone who has a different device with the same g95 test if it has trouble detecting the cpu model or does cpuz on mobile just assume based on the phone you have?
  21. tor browser but nothing is truly ever safe but dont worry unless you are someone like the us president i wouldnt worry about it to much. be careful ok but dont get paranoid either!
  22. for using it i woukd get the surface duo because no plastic screen to get damaged. yes it has a weaker cpu and buggy software but with the samsung i would be scared using it that it is going to scratch or break so for me surface duo but it is kind of a pick your poison here. so basically for hardware the surface but for software the samsung.
  23. i guess it is just a matter of luck my 200$ redmi note 7 still works perfectly fine after 2 years i just go the cheap route that if it breaks/becomes unusably slow it is not so much of a financial burden to get a new one. i mean i use phones/tablets usually for 5+ years for example my huawei tablet running android 7 is 5 years old now with the latest security patch for android beeing from july 2018. i am not a person that needs the fastest phone or the phone with the most features ever i just want something to work. for horsepower i have my ryzen 7 laptop.
  24. as i said i am in the process of getting one right now just takes a while but will defenitely post my experience with it here how it writes/feels. some might find the lack of preassure sensing annoying but i normally use fineliners/mine pencils anyways where if you apply preassure it doesnt change anything except maybe break something so lets see if it fits my usecase.
