  1. Hey guys I need some help in regards to the number of fans I need for my case. I am planning on buying the Corsair 275R Airflow case and it's gonna have a Ryzen 7 5800X with Wraith Prism RGB Cooler (just re-using it from my old 2700X) and the reference model of the AMD RX 6700 XT. https://www.scan.co.uk/products/corsair-275r-airflow-tempered-glass-black-mid-tower-pc-gaming-case I will also be using Corsair ML120 Pro fans as well if that helps. Will 3 Intakes at the front and 1 Exhaust at the back be enough to keep the system cool enough to not thermal throttle under normal gaming?
  2. Just finished watching the video. It's like somebody just releases a video about something I've been thinking about for the past week, happens too often now for it to a coincidence lol. In his words it's "Fine" but I do agree with him about the price. It's £89.99 on Scan.co.uk which does seem like a lot. Having said that, I do like the aesthetics of it though.
  3. Hey guys, how's it going? Back with another question and this time it's about cases. I am going to be changing cases from an InWin 101 to an NZXT H510 Flow in around a months time and I was wondering if anybody has any ideas on what to use an old PC case for, if at all. Or am I just better off sending it straight to recycling? The reason why I'm changing cases is because I'm changing motherboards, processor and fans so I feel like the upcoming NZXT case is much better suited for air cooling than what I have right now. Any ideas will be appreciated, TIA. (Pictures and links included for reference) From InWin 101 - https://www.in-win.com/en/gaming-chassis/101/ To NZXT H510 Flow - https://nzxt.com/en-DE/product/h510-flow
  4. Are there any PoE options? so then that way I can cut down on the cables I need and simplify it a little bit without the need to run a seperate power cable.
  5. any suggestions for a good access point? I'm not really that good when it comes to network related things as you can probably tell
  6. Hey all, I'm planning on buying a new router for my smart home devices like plugs, bulbs and cameras and I am currently using the router that my ISP has provided (Currently using the Virgin Media Hub 3) I've been looking around and not really sure what I'm after but I am thinking of buying this one from TP-Link, as I'm not really looking for balls to the wall performance and looking for something that's budget friendly and can support many concurrent devices. https://www.tp-link.com/us/home-networking/wifi-router/archer-ax1800/ for around £95. Is this a good router for my usage?
  7. Certainly wasn't expecting this! Only just started the video, so far so good. EDIT - Stefan seems like a nice and down to earth kind of guy. And I loved the bit at the end when he's poking fun at him for the "Hexa core CPU, that's right we've got one!" Enjoyed this more than the basketball one from a few days ago.
  8. Hey guys, I've recently got myself a few TP-Link Tapo smart bulbs, smart plugs and a single smart camera as I'm slowly upgrading my house with tech, as im sure all of you will appreciate. I am currently using a Virgin Media Hub 3.0 (Eww I know, but it's doing the job so far so good ) and it's currently got my PS4, my lounge PC, my main PC all hooked up via Ethernet. then we have a few phones and a laptop attached via wifi, Would you guys recommend hooking them all up to the same router or would it be better for me to use a seperate router thats dedicated purely for smart home items? Thanks in Advance!
  9. Thanks for the replies everyone! Decided to get the Aorus Pro in the end because I may plan to upgrade the CPU later down the line, plus the USB C on the rear IO might come in useful as things slowly shift towards that connector. Happy gaming everyone!
  10. The ethernet port is dead, nothing happens when I plug in a cable. I previously fixed that with a PCI-E X1 Ethernet card but now I can't use it because the 5600 XT is a bit chonky and it covers up the slot
  11. I'd say that SLI & Crossfire setups are pretty much useless in 2021. Sure it was cool back in the mid 2000's to the the early 2010's but definitely not something that I can personally see coming back.
  12. Hey guys, how's it going? Looking to get a new motherboard for the living room PC to replace my MSI B450M Pro-M2 Max and wondered which motherboard is the better one. There is about a £20 difference between the two, and is it worth the extra? 1 - https://www.ebuyer.com/983609-gigabyte-amd-b550m-aorus-elite-am4-matx-motherboard-b550m-aorus-elite 2 - https://www.ebuyer.com/983607-gigabyte-amd-b550m-aorus-pro-am4-matx-motherboard-b550m-aorus-pro And the other question I have is that they both seem to have 2 PCI-E X16 Slots where one is running at Gen 4 and the other at Gen 3, so would it be able to run my graphics card at full speed at the same time as using an Elgato 4K60 Pro which uses a PCI-E X4 interface without running out PCI-E Lanes or other system bottlenecks? The rest of the PC specs are - - Ryzen 3 3100 - AMD Radeon RX 5600 XT 6GB - 16GB DDR4 HyperX Fury 3200MHz CL16 - SeaSonic Core GC500 PSU Thanks in advance!
  13. For gaming in 2021? No difference at all. Unless you're planning on using OBS to record or stream and editing a lot of 4K videos at the same time. Otherwise the answer is no
  14. I have this exact same PSU in my living room pc but then again its only running a Ryzen 3 3100 and an RX 5600 XT but if you wanna be on the safe side maybe go for at least 600W or even 700W just incase you wanna upgrade down the line.
  15. Hey guys! I recently built my living room PC and specs as follows - Motherboard - MSI B450M Pro-M2 Max CPU - Ryzen 3 3100 CPU Cooler - Replaced the stock Wraith Stealth with the WRAITH PRISM RGB COOLER RAM - HyperX Fury RGB 16GB RAM (CL 16 3200) Graphics Card - AMD Radeon HD 7850 (Currently trying to source an RX 580/RX 5600 XT/GTX 1660 Ti or similiar) PSU - Seasonic Core GC500 80+ Gold WD Blue M.2 250GB SSD WD Blue SATA 2.5" SSD Seagate 1TB HDD 64Mb Cache 7200RPM How high am I able to push the overclock on air cooling? Ryzen Master currently reports idles temps of around 28 - 30 degrees at stock & Idle.
  16. Update - Got an email saying it's been dispatched and got a tracking number to follow it along its journey, So yeah... a bit of patience required hope this helps anybody else that is currently waiting for an update on their orders. Thanks Linus and the LMG Team. Can't wait to show it off when it arrives
  17. Hey guys! Does anyone know if LTTStore.com has shipped their Deskpads yet? Cus I placed an order back on 13th December for a Deskpad and Beanie hat and I got an email saying my order is confirmed but I haven't heard a peep since then,,, Everytime I click on the link in the email to view my order, all I see is - Your order is confirmed You’ll receive an email when your order is ready. But it's been nearly three weeks and I thought they were gonna ship them just before Christmas. Not having a moan as I know these are tough times but just wondered what the status/ETA is currently before anyone starts flaming me
  18. Hey guys! Need a little advice on something. Finally getting round to building the living room PC for Emulation Gaming and High Quality PS4 Recordings. As things stand, these are the Key Components I have at my Disposal - - AMD Ryzen 3 3100 - 16GB (2x8GB) HyperX Fury RGB RAM (3200MHZ) - MSI B450M Pro-M2 Max Motherboard - 250GB WD BLUE M.2 SSD (Boot) - 1TB 7200RPM HDD (Recording RAWS) - Seasonic GC500 80+ Gold PSU - Elgato HD 60 S+ (4K passthrough, 1080p 60 Recording) And the only bit of this whole is obviously the GPU... I am going to be using (temporarily) my old AMD Radeon HD 7850 2GB just to get it up and running. But this is the LTT Forum and that old thing ain't gonna cut it no more in the long term, so what would be a good GPU to match that will suit my needs for the next couple of years? Budget ain't very much, around £150 to £200 ($200 to $270), willing to ferry around the 2nd hand market.
  19. My old PC that I rocked for like 9 long years before I upgraded to my current rig as described in my signature. Asus M4N68T-M AM3 Motherboard AMD Phenom II X4 965 (3.4GHz 4c/4t) 8GB DDR3 RAM @ 1333MHz AMD Radeon HD 7850 2GB (HIS ICEQX Model) (Originally some OEM 5770 1GB) 1TB SSHD (Originally 500GB Samsung Spinpoint F3 or something like that) Displayed in my IKEA cabinet and held up by some cable ties, that you too can find at LTTStore.com!
  20. Yeah sorry, accidently hit post before i finished typing lol. Edited original post now
  21. Hey guys! I'm going on a trip soon and I was looking at buying a laptop to keep me company for about a month. Max budget of £550. Was thinking of buying a LENOVO IdeaPad 5 14" with 8GB RAM and AMD Ryzen 3 4300U. https://www.currys.co.uk/gbuk/computing/laptops/laptops/lenovo-ideapad-5-14-laptop-amd-ryzen-3-128-gb-ssd-platinum-grey-10207944-pdt.html Just need something to run Retroarch and play some GBA and SNES ROMS as well as watching LTT videos. And would this be ok for some light video editing work? Thanks in advance!
  22. Hey guys, I picked up a really sweet piece of gear today which is the Elgato HD 60 S+ (which was recently featured on LTT) to go with my PS4 Pro for 4K60 Passthrough and 1080p Capture which is all sweet and good but it leaves me with a slight problem... The thing that it's replacing is my old Hauppage HD PVR 2 which I didn't realise was featured on LTT many moons ago lol because of it's limitations such as 1080p 30fps :(. Is the old tech still good for anything? Or is it destined for the recycling bin?
  23. A new video titled "Should I hire this guy? PC building with Brian the Electrician!" Exactly as the title says, make it happen!
  24. Hey guys! Hows yall? Good me too I'm in the market looking for a dram SSD and I'm not sure what SSD to buy. I have a WD Blue SSD and I'm fine with buying another WD Blue but I was wondering what the other alternatives are apart from the usual Samsung 860 Evo's cus they're a little pricey
