The 3600 won't have any problems with proper b450 boards even the 3700X as well. Most of the b450s will have the gen 4 pcie update so there shouldn't have problems with the GPUs.

In my case even with a 5% IPC improvements on single threads, I think it's a no lost situation for gaming since its cheaper then the Intel I7 8700 variant and beats or matches it. I suspect the internal seems the same as the elite 110

The h100 looks interesting, it reminds me of a upgraded elite 110. I just hope the case can fit at least a dual fan card. If it's gpu fitting is the same as the elite it's gonna be hard to make a high end gaming rig with it. ( if sizing is the same as an elite the biggest card that will fit is a Zotac mini) *gtx 1070,1080mini, rtx 2070 mini. It feels like the elite 110 turned on its side

After looking at the specs the 3700X seems so tempting, but the system I'm planing to build is just for gaming. And my brother is telling me it's an overkill for my use and I should just stick with the ($199) 3600. I know there are some AAA games that utilize 6 or more cores, so I don't think it's overkill. My games : (Assassin's Creed origin, tomb raiders, forza, battlefield series, Spiderman, COD, fortnight, diversion, devil may cry,) I love playing story based games. Should I go for 6 or 8 cores?

I know it's efficient but because of the pcie gen 4 the chipset is going to draw a lot of power, and because of that it's going to need a mini fan to keep it cool. My brother used to have 2 FX pcs his room it felt like a sauna even with the conditioner + dual coolers. Now brother plans to switch both his work pc (Intel X series) and his gaming (Ryzen r7 2700) to a 12 core and a 8 core Ryzen 3000. Will his room become a space heater again?

I'm more worried about the heating issues, I pray AMD isn't going back the heater generation again like the FX generation.

The 2000 series it was the r5 2600, which do you think will be the next best value cpu? Still the 6 core 12 threads 3600 or the latest 3700X 8 core 16 threads? $199 for 6cores/12 threads more then enough for gaming and light streaming? Thank you AMD.

Intel's so called value went out the window with zen2s IPC improvements, but one thing I'm sure is you most likely will not see itx builds with the 12 core.

AMD was not aiming to win the gaming arena, they are aiming for the enterprise arena, Ryzen and Radeon are just tech trickled down from epyc and enterprise graphics, gaming to AMD will always be second tier.
