  5. now im conflicted! I just bought a 7800xt, and this looks like a decent option, at least better than the previous 4070. At least i still have time to return it once i get it if theres good 4070 super deals. That would be the first time i went team green in a long time tho
  6. What do you plan on using it for? I kinda wanna guess motorcycle stuff Amazon says it'll come in feb whats weird tho is if i ordered it today, i would prob get it sooner. although im just glad to have one.
  7. finally caved and bit the bullet. It's gonna get here pretty late but i'm tired of waiting around. i'm excited. I'm gonna get 2x the vram i have now.

Tbh, it's something i would think of buying, but i already have enough mouse pads. Ye i just love seeing it, something that isn't "oh! woman" and is instead "oh! man" anyways, im homosegual. But love the zoro mousepad Good videoe
  11. Testing different budget store brand [usb-c] cables (Walmart, best buy, target, five below, etc) to see the best value
  12. I'm probably gonna sound like a glazer, but i saw this title and I wanted to reply to it. In the most respectful way, why do you care? He's a dad, and a seemingly decent one at that. Yeah, he may be "spoiling" them, but it's not your issue. You don't know them, none of this really effects you. Let the man parent his kids, he seems to be doing just fine with it. I mean, he started a succsesful company, and has a bunch of "free" computer parts laying around, ofc he's gonna want to spend some of that money/use some of those parts for his family. It doesn't really matter. Plus, it can make for decent content. Like when he did those builds w his kids or whatever. I mean you could say at that point he is just using his kids for content, which ig could be a more valid concern, but it's just not like that u feel? He's not like a family vlogger where he shoves the camera in their face u feel. I don't mean to be an asshole and like talk down to you, but it's like why do you care how some dude online is parenting his own kids, unless he's like abusing them but like, no. I don't know just my thoughts.
  13. Ok so update ig. I talked to my parents about it, my dad wants me to put it on a payment plan, and then ill give him the money for it. In that case, i'm probably gonna get a regular pro 512. Although, i'm kinda having second thoughts about being locked into a payment plan and not being able to upgrade for 3 years. Although it's not like i haven't done it before. I don't know, still kinda on the edge. The reason i'm saying the warrenty isn't a big deal is because the main damage i'm worried about is the screen breaking. The warranty won't cover that completely, but it'll make it alot cheaper to replace it. Plus those other damages. Yeah, but i still have a cracked screen. So i would need to get that replaced before i can really get any value from it. So, since i didn't have apple care, it would be around $280 at apple, and around the same price at other places when i checked (a long time ago). So i would spend almost $300 to sell it on ebay for $600, or trade in for $830-1000 which would be better, but at that point i would save only like $550-720, plus the small upcharge (abt $100-200) for the new one. If i had the apple care, it would only be $30, which is a lot more reasonable than $280. u feel me? Well, if it is on a payment plan, then i would have to keep it for 3 years. the apple care would last 2 years iirc. It is one year of no coverage, but that's better than none, at least to me. But if i pay it out right, i could be able to upgrade next year if i really wanted to, and then i would have an extra year i didnt even use. Yeah, again, i would have to pay extra for a warrenty in that case. I just don't think it would be a good decision for me. If my parents didnt have this total tech subscription, i would probably do that, but they do soooo. Nah, i kinda need a new phone blud. My older one broke like 3 months ago, and ever since then, i planned on getting a new one. So i kinda have to get one. Although, i would lie if it wasn't all because its the new phone. But i agree w that statement generally, i just really need one. I'm saying when i get the 15 thru best buy, i'll get applecare included. So if/when i break my screen again or something like that, it will be a lot cheaper to get it fixed at Apple (thanks for the shady repair stuff apple :)) for no real added cost. But if i were to get the used 14 pro on amazon, i'll have to buy the applecare separately (at about $140) if i wanted that protection. I'd much rather be safe than sorry, since my last 2 phones have cracked
  14. well, i'm planning on getting it at BBY with a warrenty, so it shouldn't be that big of an issue. Plus i'm gonna be putting a case on it so. I prob aint even gon get the max anyway. I had one and liked it, but switching back to a "normal" phone, it just seems a bit overkill. What is this? 2005? nah jk. I use Apple Music and dont even transfer my photos anyway.
  15. I thought about it over last night and talked to some other people, I think it would be better to buy new. Because, my family has this Best Buy member ship, which includes AppleCare whenever you buy something there. This is pretty important to me bc both of my previous iPhone have had cracked screens, so having apple care would save me $250 on one screen repair alone. and the 14 pro would only be like $30 cheaper. Yeah it has more features, but I really don’t save that much in the short term compared to the long term, and I really don’t mind paying $20 to save $250. Even with the less features.
  16. Oh shi, i looked at refurbed 14 pros, it would actually be (slightly) cheaper to get the 14 pro haha. Plus it has the extra refresh rate and extra cameras. I kinda have to say, i'm a bit worried about buying it used, since it doesn't have like the full warrenty i could get included if i got one at best buy (I have the total subscription thing, so it would include apple care) which is kinda important to me bc both of my previous iphones cracked, my 12 not even making it half a year b4 it cracked. So that if this one also crackes, it'll be a lot cheaper to get it replaced. Plus, just about the condition of it, but the phone i use now is used so maybe i'm just trippin. But now that you brought that option up, i'll probablt look into it haha. I really didn't even think of it, ig i just want the latest and shinest haha. thank u
  17. Hey, i'm indecisive and i want some opinions about which iPhone i should get, so wanted to get some input on what i should get. I was gonna get a new iPhone ever since my 12 Pro Max broke in the summer, and i knew they would make a new one in a couple months so i got a SE for around $150 and just waited it out. Now that they announced it, i'm kinda in between 2 worlds. I'm kinda thinking of getting the more budget iPhone 15 (non Pro), since it really has everything i need, and not to much more and for cheaper than the pro. It has the dynamic island, and better cameras, and cute colors, and is $200 less for the non-plus 256gb pro version. Plus for the price of the 256gb pro, i can get a 512gb regular 15, or a 256gb plus. Although, i don't think i need all that (even though i would like it) since thats the same storage i had on my 12 Pro max, and that lasted me abt 3 years, even when i was downloading every tiktok i saw, which i don't do as much anymore. So i wouldn't mind sticking to 256gb (esp since it would be a 4x increase from what i have rn). I really don't care about the usb 2 speed, since i only used usb to transfer files like a handful of times ever since i got the iPhone X, and that was USB 2 anyway. However, i do wish it had the telephoto lens instead of the ultrawide lens, but I could live with it. And compared to my previous 12 Pro Max, it really wouldn't be that big of a downgrade, besides no Lidar, which i didn't use anyway and that telephoto lens, and added screen real estate, although the smaller se kinda has me on the smaller form factor. Or, i could get that 15 Pro for a bit more and get a higher refresh rate and slightly smaller bezels. Although, the bezel change really doesn't seem that big, and i'd much rather save $200 for slightly bigger bezels. Plus, i kinda think I would get used to the higher refresh rate over, even though it is an improvement, especially since i've only used 60hz iPhones, and been fine with it, so again i wouldn't mind saving that $200 in exchange for that. But it does have that telephoto lens, and would be the more logical upgrade compared to my 12 Pro max, although now i'm having to pay for the phone myself, and not through a payment plan so like i have to take that into account. However, i do have that type of money saved up from when the iPhone 14 came out (around $1,200) so i could use it to that, but again, i wouldn't mind saving $200. TL;DR: I could save $200 for less (but still agreeable) features, or spend $200 for extra features.
  18. Well, i would think so, but i looked at the fine print at the bottom of the page, it clarifys USB-C case, although that may just be because of something else, but just looking at that page it kinda makes it seem like the usb-c version is the only one that will do that. Plus when i checked the page from like 3 days ago when they were still advertising the lighting version, it had no mention of the lossless audio, although that may just be because they didn't wanna change the page before the event. Although i do hope it does carry over to the "older" version, and i really don't see why not, it just seems like it may. Yeah, sure they're fine, but like, it's fucking annoying. Like i'm gonna get the iPhone 15, and now imma have to have 2 cables on me where ever i am to charge the phone and the airpods. Kinda defeats the point of "just one cable for everything" Now i know this is a very specific issue and theres probably only 5 other ppl who have this same issue, but like still sum to point out. Tbh, i don't think it'll affect it to much. Especially when you compare that to all the different types of screen styles on android phones (not saying its a bad thing, just that it's a thing). So compareitvly, it should be easy since they know all the aspects of the different screens, and they've done it before (iOS 16 currently works on all of those display types). Now that you say that, it would be cool to have a option to remove the black part of the screen for the dynamic island so you can have as much screen as possible. Is it gonna happen? No, but it would be cool. Oh, i guess that would be the solution. I didn't really think about just buying the case, i guess because they didn't sell the pro case standalone, at least not like the 2nd gen airpods. But now that you brought that up, thats a more fair option. I understand what you're saying earlier, but this isn't even like a whole new gen, it's just the same 2nd gen with a different connector u feel? I know i sound annoying as shi but like, it's just weird to me. Especially with all the "oh we environmentaly friendly we don't like e-waste" stance they been taking (which i like)
  19. Haha you beat me to it. But i didn't see this article/press release. Now it's weirder because it doesn't do the full 24bits? Only 20? I don't think i've ever seen that before. I'm slightly more confused
  20. Ok, i have some thoughts about the "new" airpod pros they kinda announced today. I say quote on quote new, because they're not really new. They're the same 2nd gen pros, but now with USB-C charging. Soo, what about the people who already have the 2nd gen pros with lightening? Are we just fucked and have to carry a lighting cable just for my airpods? "Oh but just buy another pair" i'm not paying $250 for the same product with a different port, and i think most people won't either. Will there be some type of replacement program for old ones? There was no talk of it and this is apple we're talking about, i dont think they're gonna do that. But another thing. I was looking around through the airpods pro page, like a sane human would and i noticed something. So these "new" airpods pro are lossless? But only with vision pro (as far as i can tell)? This makes no sense. Especially since the "last" 2nd gens were expected to be lossless, but they weren't. Now this "new" pair of the same pros are now lossless? But only with one product? I don't know if this is supposed to be like some thing where apple tries to make it's most loyal fanboys waste their money to like get the apple experience or whatever, but i feel even then it makes no sense. Like it can't do lossless on the mac either? Those both have the same processor, or i guess it's because of the other chip in it? But like then why can't the previous model do that too? they should both have the same chip. Maybe it does work on that model, but what i can see, it isn't. Like??
  21. Yeah, but i doubt the titanum frame is like a deal breaker for most ppl if yk what i mean. But I think the pro has a place, even besides tried to segment the market to get as much money from their die-hard fans, theres probably some people that would much rather go w the pro than the 15 for some other reason. I mean maybe not a ton but it's not like it shouldn't exist. I feel like most of the features also translating to the 15 is a good thing, basically the 14 pro for a $200 less starting price.
