    Glad to help. Yeah that's why I mentioned 'how' you were buying it, because 1600AF appears mostly and only on some online retailers. But locally, it's a different story. I've been noticing a trend of Intel dominance outside of Western Markets like EU/OCE/NA that seems a bit unfair since AMD offer the best value at the lower end. But, I don't know too much about OS hardware markets. Just make sure that when you are shopping for a motherboard, even though you are buy 2nd Gen Ryzen make sure you get a 'MAX' version if buying MSI or something that is certified and 'Ryzen 3000' ready. I know there have been a lot of boards without the bigger BIOS chips ready for Ryzen 3000 but I think they just get around it by literally cutting down the BIOS to it's barebones.
     
    So, just get that out of the way to save yourself any trouble in the future. Good luck.
     
    I went moved over to AMD last year with a 3600 with the intention to grab a 3900X or 3950X some point in the future. It's amazing to know that I can have a amazing 6c/12t CPU right now and slot a 16c/32t chip in to the exact same board in the future.

    I attempted my first tooless delid (without tools designed specifically for delidding cpus)
    and boy do I feel like a tool. I dont understand what I did wrong though,
    I went slow and careful with a razor blade, then with some thin metal prods, going progressively
    thicker until it popped. I did hear cracking sound but i figured this being an old cpu (X5660) that
    was the sound of something old like thermal paste or the glue (something resembling cheap white
    thermal paste came out with the razor blade when I passed it under the lip). 
    So did I do something obviously wrong, did I get unlucky or what? Please help.

    PS: This cpu was a dud from AliExpress that went to a specialist and he couldnt fix it so no loss there.

    i7 3770k, i7 2600k. They overclock pretty good and perform almost the same.

    He could have bought anything else from there whilst he was there since it takes him an hour to drive there. I don't think there is some jayztwocents type of conspiracy and he's trying to dupe everyone considering anyone can compare those prices via microcentre's own website and newegg and amazon. He probably just got something else that was convenient to him whilst he was there.
