  1. Steps to fix the Display Port: 1. Power off the monitor by pressing the Power button. Power off the PC as well. 2. Unplug the power cable and the DisplayPort cable from the back of the monitor. Wait 30 seconds. 3. After waiting 30 seconds, plug the monitor back in with the Power Cable and the DisplayPort cable. Power on the monitor and power on the PC. 4. Enjoy! Your monitor should be working now. Found this on Youtube, If it dont work with pc off Then try letting the pc power up completely. Then try again.
  2. Need more info on your system. In some OS like windows You can set both Resolutions and hrtz on both monitors. Can you break down your system to us - Version Numbers and such? Specifically OS and graphics card and Monitor Information. More if you have it handy , so we can give you options. Also is it a ASUS? The Monitor that is? The new one that runs at 144? Try the ASUS Software? Must pick your OS Etc https://www.asus.com/supportonly/GPUTweak II/HelpDesk_Download/
  3. Lets Make sure the Process was done Correctly with the OS you MUST HAVE AT THE VERY LEAST. For it to work. You should be using Windows 10 v1703 or higher. If you are not sure, press Win + R, type winver and press Enter. The disk you are trying to convert should not have more than three partitions. If you have more than three partitions on the Windows 10 installation drive, either merge or delete excess partitions. If you are using BitLocker to encrypt your system, decrypt the drive and disable BitLocker protection before starting the conversion process. With BitLocker protection turned on, Windows 10 cannot convert your drive from Legacy BIOS to UEFI. After converting, you might have to change your motherboard firmware settings from Legacy BIOS to UEFI. Depending on your motherboard manufacturer, the procedure to switch from one to the other will be different. Have your motherboard manual handy to make things easier for you. _______________________________ To convert, you need to access Command Prompt from Windows advanced start-up. For that, press Win + X, go to “Shut down or sign out” and click on the “Restart” button while holding the Shift key. The above action will reboot your system to the Advanced Start-up screen. Here, go to “Troubleshoot -> Advanced Options,” and select the option “Command Prompt.” The first thing we need to do is validate the disk we are trying to convert. Type the below command and press Enter. mbr2gpt /validate If you see the “Validation completed successfully” message, then you can proceed to the next step. If you see any errors, your disk or system might not meet the conversion requirements. 4. After validating the disk, execute the below command. mbr2gpt /convert As soon as you execute, Windows 10 will start the conversion process, i.e. it will add all the required UEFI boot files and GPT components and then update the Boot Configuration Data. Now restart your system, launch your motherboard firmware settings screen and change it from Legacy BIOS to UEFI. The procedure to change from Legacy BIOS to UEFI depends on your motherboard manufacturer. Consult the manual for the exact steps. 6. After booting into Windows 10, you can verify whether you are converted or not. Just like before, open the disk properties window from the Disk Management tool, and go to the “Volumes” tab. Here, you should see “GUID Partition Table (GPT)” next to “Partition style.” Try is as such, Then Let us know. Also You may have to Update windows for Necessary files. Good Luck!
  4. Wrong Bios is a problem. If your stuck at the Flash Screen your going to need to make a USB Bios Stick. The Bios Manf should have more info, Or list Machine info and I can get you links and process.
  5. Are you running windows 10 - If yes : Windows 10 made changes with Updates making ALOT of games not compatible. Roll Back the windows update as far as you can and check again. Disable Windows Update for now. I Read a article that even Forte Night and a few other major games no longer work on microsoft's site. If your not running Windows 10 - Do a Clean Install of Windows - Test Prior to Updates. Hope this helps!
  6. Sounds like possible wrong drivers - Did you do a Full Windows Update both optional and important? I would try the update option first. Second, if still persist I would install the drivers from the manufacturer. Below I found some drivers that may help : Graphics Card https://www.amd.com/en/support/graphics/radeon-400-series/radeon-rx-400-series/radeon-rx-480 Chip Set https://www.amd.com/en/support/cpu/amd-ryzen-processors/amd-ryzen-7-desktop-processors/amd-ryzen-7-2700x Mother Board Driver - You must select OS https://www.asus.com/us/Motherboards/ROG-STRIX-X370-F-GAMING/HelpDesk_Download/ Hope this Helps! Note : For my Laptop AMD software had to be installed to run any games / Older machine AMD Catalyst Software - So The graphic card drive option is probably #1 to fix it.
  7. Disable or Enable Legacy Boot in Bios. A computer may also be affected by the “Reboot and select proper boot device” error if its primary hard drive partition is no longer configured as the active one. You can use Diskpart to fix this with a bootable USB. Remove CMOS battery. Power Off. Put in new CMOS battery. It might be holding information causing the issue / By removing this and reinstalling The Bios goes back to default. May fix the Issue. Good Luck!
  8. Does it Show up in Bios : Yes, continue / No Bios Issue Does it Show up in Boot Order : Yes Continue / No Bios issue Is it IDE or SATA , Is the type Enabled in Bios? : Yes Continue / No Bios Issue Old Distros may not support SATA, Distro New? : Yes Continue / No Version of Linux Issue Is the hard drive formatted as Fat32? : Yes continue / NO its windows NT Format - Reformat NT not Compatible format - Format Fat32 so Linux can detect it. Was the Previous Operating System Windows 10? : Yes - 10 despite what people say - If I put a USB drive in windows 10 and move it to 7 - it is always corrupted but you can move 7 to 10. 10 Some how changes any files. I would Format a couple times and try to remove all traces of 10. I use windows 8.1 as 7 will no longer be supported and 10 seems to give me LOTS of issues when plugging in my storage devices / for pics / videos - It changes them to work only on 10. Also the type of Boot could be Issue : Legacy v/s Uefi - Bios usually has some sort of options to control and select proper one. Older PC is Legacy, Newer is UEFI. Some older ones can update the Bios to do UEFI. Like my HP G7. Legacy BIOS is run by option Read Only Memory (ROM’s). The option ROMs that legacy systems run will only work if they are compatible with the hardware that is running with it. If you upgrade your hardware, you have to update the option ROMs to make sure every aspect of the booting process is compatible. UEFI solved this problem by incorporating drivers into their system in place of option ROM. The drivers have virtually no space limitations and are compatible with upgraded forms of hardware. Drivers are written separately and can be uploaded using a flash drive. The information uploaded onto the system is then processed by UEFI’s programming interface, which configures the data to ensure compatibility. I hope this helps. Good Luck!
  9. Hi there, Im Ryan and want to have a Large Touch Screen Dash in my car. Samsung has such a device but I am looking to do it for a little cheaper. Hoping you do a Show on this, love your videos. I want to mount a Touch Screen on my Dashboard in my car. Like a Tesla a large screen on Dash. Something like a 20" Touch Screen. Samsung Has the Samsung Dex which does this, but I simply cant afford a new s10 and a dex screen. I want to use my Android phone as the brains / and have access to all the Car Apps in the Play Store. The Car Large Touch Screen to be the one that controls the phone / including the double tap. I know you can HDMI, but that wont allow touching the screen while driving. I have a Motorola e5 supra as a extra phone because the screen is cracked - So is there a way I can connect a external touch screen / That controls the phone. Love your shows on youtube, The odd ball things you tackle makes me have hope! And I hope you do a Video on this one! Explore Tech! Thanks, Ryan Romero Sr -ryanromerosr@outlook.com Samsung's device I want to emulate. https://www.samsung.com/us/business/solutions/samsung-dex/ If this is the Wrong Place to post this, I apologize. Its a odd sorta question and there wasn't one I thought would fit the question. Thanks again.
