  1. Most ISP's and Mobile Network Providers actually advertise their speeds as "up-to". You could have a plan for 50 mbps and be getting 10 mbps. They didn't break their rules. It was "up-to".
  2. Most lilkely would work. Most of those strategies should work. Except the router ones pertain to your router/modem.
  3. Well, what is your ISP and the plan you have? (if you don't mind). If you are not comfortable telling the info, then restart your router, upgrade your router maybe, try placing your router in a better location. Run some speed tests throughout the day. It might be a congestion issue or something. Check if your computer/devices don't have any background tasks running. Turn off any VPNS before testing speed test. Change DNS to 1.1.1.1
  4. Would there be any chance of me losing data maybe??
  5. I am deciding on running Nextcloud on MacOS (hosting Nextcloud on MacOS), however I got this warning about it not being the supported platform. I was wondering if there is any risk to this? I was planning on doing this via PHP web setup. Thank!
  6. Would there be any danger for it charging during 70% or higher?
  7. One thing I would suggest is to look at the rating at all time. Since, sometimes people express all their anger of a product in the reviews. Also, I prefer Amazon and be sure to look at the company you are dealing with. One thing you could do, is get a TV and install it outside. Most likely you probably have some sort of roof or if not, projector might be the best.
  8. Exactly. There is definitely a catch. Do you have a budget that you are within?
  9. Probally. But that review probably has a meaning. There is a reason to why someone would post that.
  10. Just responded to yours. I replied so you could get the notification.
  11. I feel like that it's a great projector. And also the reviews reflect that. However, it only has 27 ratings. I usually would suggest buying something that more people actually bought and reviewed. It won't really hurt to give it a try since you could most likely return this since Amazon has a pretty good return policy (with some hiccups, sometimes).
  12. I currently am daily driving a Samsung Galaxy s3 (as a challenge). And I finding to be charging it almost 2-3 times a day almost. Once in the night, once in the afternoon around 3. My usage is basically: - Web Browsing - Checking Emails - The LTT Forum And whenever I watch videos, I usually watch them while plugged in. I just want to know any cons to the way I am charging or if keeping in plugged in has some side effects on the phone. Thanks!
  13. I am surprised for the closing. The last time I went to Fry's and bought something was a VGA to HDMI adapter which stopped working just two weeks ago. I bought it around 2 yrs ago maybe? I will definitely miss the daily coupons Frys sent in our emails. They were great or decent enough deals.
  14. Yea I was very surprised that the store closed. It literally closed without any advertisement or any close down deals or anything. They closed so silently where no one I knew, knew about it.
  15. So I am following the LTT Forum guide on creating a VM which is based on the new video released today. I am planning to do this on my own VM at home. However, I am confused at CentOS. I am on the CentOS page, and the CentOS iso's are like 6 GB +. All I need is SSH access to the server and the ability to run the VPN. I believe I am doing something wrong since Ubuntu Server ISO is under 1 GB. Let me know if I am doing anything wrong or the correct link.
  16. That is true! The feeling of him being to accomplish such a task will be as you said!
  17. The only issue with this would be that the person who is need looks to be a beginner, and a bare drive is something that you probally wouldn't want to handle.
  18. I would suggest watching a YouTube Tutorial on installing a Hard Drive as that could show you like a preview. And check out the LTT First Point of View PC Build as that might also guide you. I personally am not a gamer, but my suggestion would be that you can get any hard drive as a game drive since all you need to do is load the game.
  19. https://www.amazon.com/Seagate-BarraCuda-Internal-Drive-3-5-Inch/dp/B07H2RR55Q/ref=sr_1_3?keywords=2tb+hard+drive&qid=1577909246&sr=8-3 Here is a good drive that can help you.
  20. Yea you can have as many hard drives as you want, but you might want to make sure you have the right amount of sata ports on your motherboard to plug in all those drives.
  21. Thanks for your help! The decision of how to use the PC will be made by my dad so I was really confused on getting the right specs and all. Thanks everyone who helped me! If someone can move this to the test section, it will be great!
  22. Run Microsoft Office Suite and browser not much.
