  1. Well I figured I update this in case anyone else sees this. I have had this laptop for about a month now. https://www.hp.com/ca-en/shop/product.aspx?id=378V0UA&opt=ABL&sel=NTB#questions-answers Does everything I was looking for except maybe closer to 6 straight hours battery life on light work, though that gets me through my day. I got it for under $2000 with student deals, just, so technically over 2000$ normally, but worked out for me.
  2. I have a MS surface pro 6 tablet that is having some issues hardware wise (no I am not looking to fix it) so I am looking to replace it. I have grown very accustomed to having a laptop (k tablet with fabric keyboard...) with pen support for school. my top priorities are touch screen and pen support with a bigger screen (as in bigger then 12.3 i have now) and minimum 12Gb (prefer 16) of memory, good thunderbolt/USB c support (duel monitor dock and such). secondary specs, something in the range of a 20 series Nvidia (minimum) and mid range range CPU, either AMD or Intel processor with minimum 6 (prefer 8) threads capable primary use cases is note taking, internet, plex/youtube/netflix/etcetera, programming assignments (the IDE I have to use eats memory worse then rampant tab count on a browser...), and some light to medium gaming other important features would be: charging capable via the USB c port ability to use integrated graphics and efficiency cores to preserve battery then dedicated graphics for plugged in gaming battery that can last 8 hours is a 2 in 1 for easier carrying around and such (low priority) my budget is about $2000 CAD (not USD), maybe a little more for the right laptop. I realize some of my requirements might not not all fit together AND be within $2000, so i am willing to weigh options and compromise somewhere if needed. thanks for any suggestions for laptops I could look into.
  3. i have been driving myself crazy with this issue. you are a godsend, thanks for this tip.
  4. I am looking for an alternative to the bluetooth software and stack then to what comes with windows 10. I have used BlueSoleil for years but the interface and general usability have not really improved in much of that time it seems. Still it seams to be the only software that can enable my work iphone to route calls through my computer and has audio sink capability for android and iphone. the windows 10 my phone app works wonders on my personal Samsung, but user be damned when trying to make anything work with an iphone. thanks for any assistance.
  5. using the My Phone app on windows 10 or/and similar software (IE samsung flow).
  6. I would like to see a video about the software you use to benchmark/stress test/monitor and comparisons with other software that might have been considered. been debating about buying Aida64 for home use.
