My "data" is obviously skewed, I don't think that women are better than men. For me, it's just nice to see that more women are playing games than before. I also hate the stereotype that girls don't like games.

Well, in CSGO female "pro" teams get destroyed by male semi pro or even amateur teams all the time. Don't know about other E-sports though.

Close this dumb thread, men vs women threads are dumb as fuck.
We do know woman are more "calm" or consistent you can see that from people who finish school women are more consistent in finishing not "better".
You are just going to get into politics talk very fast and the thread can go south.
These are just feminists polls doing this, i dont remember men doing polls or threads "men are better than women", only feminists do when some statistic show more women "better" at something, usually terribly done survey and statistics just like the imaginary wage gap statistics every feminist uses.

If true I think I might have an explanation:
All the guys are too busy doing each others moms rather then getn gud. - At least that is what I always hear guys are doing on Xbox Live.

I remember my mother playing Resident Evil 2 despite playing it before, she got stuck very fast, i showed her and was finished in under 1 hours and 30 minutes front to back,  not the remake BTW. RE2 was able to be completed in less than 1 hour 30 by any competent gamer.

My GF played MW2 back in the day with me and had no where near the hand-eye co-ordination i had, however she was very decent at plants vs zombies.

It actually is. It's still DRM if you have to log in online to authenticate. Whether it's through the asstastic Denuvo, or Steam checking your CD key, it's a form of DRM.

So there isn't really a way to track who does or does not own it legally, and even with DRM there's still no guarantee. Steam games (with SteamDRM) and Denuvo get cracked in a matter of days.

And they get paid by legal purchases. People who pirate weren't going to buy it anyways so technically it doesn't really affect their sales. Although there is a percentage of people that actually do use cracked copies as demos and then purchase the game if they feel it's worth it. That problem could be solved by having games actually have demos instead of enticing people to pay $60 for something that isn't even out and ends up being a shit show, No Mans Sky, Fallout 76, Anthem, Mass Effect Andromeda, etc.

Gog Galaxy is completely optional. If you download a game through it, for some reason the icon opens the launcher instead of the game. You can retarget the icon to open the game itself if you want. Otherwise... GOG Galaxy might be required for online components. I only say this because Dying Light is the only game I have with multiplayer that's "current" and I think it requires Galaxy. Not sure what if any checks are present at that time. I assume it just tracks your online progress n such.

Put power profile to maximum performance.
Lower all graphical settings in CSGO except textures, leave textures on max, shadows on medium, everything else off or low.

PS3 used PSGL and PS4 uses GNM/GNMX, which I think the latter one is a new but still rework of what they had renamed. There's not a lot of specific information about GNM but it's very unlikely to not be based on something like OpenGL as an actual ground up API is far too much work, I know Sony goes a bit insane with consoles but not that much.

GNM is low-level hardware access and GNMX is higher-level access aimed at smaller devs and for quicker projects etc, GNMX is first point of call unless you really need that extra performance/optimization.

As it is it's very similar to Vulkan and DX12 which both have high and low level access.
