  1. I remember a while ago (I think on WAN show) Linus mentioned that it could be a cool setup to use a large OLED as a monitor, but configure it in a way so that it can be almost like an ultrawide sometimes. This would be like setting it up so that the top of it is completely black for productivity and/or gaming, but it becomes the full size of the screen when playing a full screen video. Has anybody tried this? If so, what are your results?
  2. Thank you for all of your help. I tried the 2 different cables from the PSU labelled CPU and I get the same thing
  3. The CPU pins are fine. Thank you for your help. I’ve already contacted Gigabyte
  4. Thank you for linking that. The poster said that it was a combination between a bad PSU cable and a bad PSU. I wonder if I could be having the same problem
  5. I tried both of those as well. This is such a hard problem to troubleshoot because it’s not giving me any hints as to what it could be.
  6. I’ve already tried that. It still didn’t boot, so am I likely looking at an RMA?
  7. The same thing happens if I use only the 4 pin, only the 8 pin, or both the 4 and 8 pin at the same time
  8. How do I check the BIOS version without getting it to POST? Would it be printed in the box or manual?
  9. Yes. I tried connecting both of them at the same time and got the same result.
  10. Help! I am building a new PC and it will not POST. The motherboard will light up for a second and then nothing. The fans won’t even start spinning, although there is power going to my keyboard. I’ve checked the PSU using the paperclip test and it seems to work fine. I’ve tried reseating everything, powering on without ram, moving the ram to different spots, switching which CPU power port I’m plugged into. The same thing happens each time, but the colour and intensity of the lights that turn on are not always the same. Is there any other method to troubleshoot? My specs are: CPU: Intel Core i7-9700K RAM: 32 GB (2x16 GB) Corsair Vengeance LPX Motherboard: Gigabyte Aorus Z390 Pro WiFi PSU: Corsair RM750x SSD: Samsung Evo Plus 1 TB HDD: Seagate Barracuda 2 TB 7200rpm GPU: Nvidia Quadro RTX 4000 CPU cooler: Noctua NH-U12A Case: NZXT H500
  11. I am looking to build a sff workstation pc mainly for CAD, 3D simulations, and programming. I'm currently looking at putting an i7-9700K inside the Dan A4, but I'm not too sure how easy it'll be to cool it. I've seen recommendations about the Asetek 92mm AIO or the Noctua NH-L9i and I was wondering if anyone has experience with cooling an i7 or i9 in this case and how it went. I'm not planning on overclocking it. I'm also willing to choose a different processor or case, even if it is a mid-tower instead of mini-ITX, if there is something better for my needs. I'm planning on pairing it with a Quadro RTX 4000, 32 GB of 2666 MHz RAM, and a 1TB NVMe SSD. If anyone has any suggestions about any of these parts, they would be greatly appreciated. I'm looking to build the most powerful system I can for under $3,500 CAD (without including monitor, OS, or peripherals)
