  1. So i built a new pc and it wont post i get this screen, and my pc makes 1 beep https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/375444941905854464/781997470292377620/20201127_163742.jpg
  2. Just got my ryzen 5 5600x, installed it into my asrock b450m pro4... before I did this my bios time from cold boot was 4.5 seconds now after flashing my bios to its latest version and re enabling ultra fast boot my bios time from cold boot is 11 seconds. Also when I turn my PC on my cpu fan starts spinning for a second, stops spinning for a second, and starts again and goes normally. Is there a explanation for either of these issues or maybe they aren't issues at all?
  3. Last bios time can be checked in task manager where your start up apps are it's in the top right
  4. And also should I even be counting the bios post in my time to load ? Because if people don't do that then on ultra fast boot mine would be around 4 to 5 seconds and on normal like 10 seconds
  5. How long is your last bios time
  6. U don't want my old ssd failed after 9 months a d it's kinda trashy only 240gb and if your mobo doesn't support ultra fast boost or looking at around 22 seconds still
  7. I can but I was kinda bumbed because in best case scenario it should of been like 17-19, does this mean there's something wrong with the ssd or maybe I'm being held back by mobo or ram because my other ssd basically got the same times but when actually using this new ssd which is better it performs better even did a read a d write check and it was all good within 10mb and crystalinfo said it was 100%
  8. So my old ssd was near failure and I can't remember its standard boot time but with ultra fast boot enabled last bios time would be 3.2 seconds and I could be on the home screen in 6-8 seconds. Now the ssd I just bought was a samsung 860 evo, I did many tests and everything checks out I believe except boot speed. Without ultra fast boot the last bios time is 12.5 seconds and I can be at the home screen in 22 seconds does this seem high ? However with ultra fast boot it is the same as my old ssd 3.2 bios time and 6-8 seconds total till home screen. So essentially my questions is does this boot time sound normal around 22 seconds with nothing changed and 6-8 seconds with ultra boot on.
  9. Hello my old ssd died so I bought a Samsung evo 860 and just clean installed windows. It took awhile but I was able to figure out how to change my main os drive which is the new ssd to uefi mode so I could use ultra fast boot. However my hdd is is legacy even after a reformat does this matter and or is there any way to change my hdd to a uefi drive
  10. Yeah, but I still can't wrap my head around why this happened only had the ssd for 8 months granted it's a gigybite one. I reformatted the drive 2 times and I have installed and uninstalled many things on it as well as defragged it which I just found out is very bad and I've done this probably over 10 times. So maybe I just stressed it to much
  11. I did run it but forgot to mention it, it said the status is bad in red.
