Just don't use them. 18 AWG is also fairly thin.

    your sanity

Edit: I should try to be more helpful.
You can't properly test a used PSU, unless you have expensive testing equipment like an oscilloscope. A PSU isn't like a graphics card where you can run a benchmark and test if it's performing as it should.
Best you can maybe do is using a multimeter to check the voltages and make sure the fan is spinning properly. Even then that doesn't give you a whole lot of information.

Out of all of them, I'd recommend the Pure Power 11

    Out of the list? PP11.

Where are you located? Corsair RMx 550W and Whisper M both are $80 at Newegg right now

does evga 450 gd does that too? because i never bothered by a loud fan. but im suffered when theres an old phone charger plugged in next room because i can hear the very high pitched noise while others mostly wont notice.

No, it means that if you're ultra-sensitive to noise like some people are, get something else. The noise level is acceptable for most people.

Well, it's an EVGA... So probably noisy.

The EVGA GD uses the same FSP platform that is used in the Be Quiet Pure Power 10... Obviously lacks the BeQuiet Silent Wings fan that the pure power has, but as far as the platform goes it should be decent.

    EVGA GD

Be Quiet Pure Power 10 CM

    Yes, totally worth it.

I'd not look at the EVGA at all.
    They aren't anything special.

no, because the 9900k alone can do 200-250 watts on stock

don't worry about the efficiency curve

it's completely fine, these days PSUs are rated on what they can continuosly deliver

I thought the 2700x system was paired with an RTX 2060 (around 160W)?
The i5 6600K (stock) is like 70W so if that is paired with the RX580 then yeah, still around the same as a 2700x paired with an RTX2060.
"Worst case" scenario of the 2700x + RX580 will use a little more power, but you'd still be well within the limits of a 450W PSU.
I have an i7 6700k and GTX 1080Ti and I have to go pretty heavy on the overclock to exceed 450W.

Either way you answered your own question. Also real world gaming power consumption will be a little less than the power consumption figures for synthetic power tests. Regardless, decent PSUs should have no issue outputting 100% of the power 24/7.

They never said anything about any efficiency curve... ?

a bit louder, worse fan, other oem

but still decent enough to consider

Sometimes the websites are just marketing...
    The G3 mostly just a shortened G2.
The Reason for the G3 to be down is that it dies when its overloaded.
    Because it died.
The Corsair RM650i for example doesn't even do 20% more.
@jonnyGURU might (or might not) confirm the rather close OPP on the lower end.
It might kill your components. Sooner rather than later...

Even though you replaced it, your house could still burn down because its overheating.

In your case, the PSU is more important as you don't have a decent, working one.
The UPS is also not a bad idea...

    urgh, why just why??
Repacing the fan isn't that easy and with a different one your safety certificate is invalid. WIch means that if something happens you are on the line...

    Making those guides is irresponsible...

Yeah, probably the old model with 3 years warranty. Better avoid.

The Leadex Silver is also very good for the price, along with the Pure Power 11.
