  3. does psu sleeved extension effect anything?
  4. btw what should i check after buying used psu?

  6. i can get an hx750 used for 60$ with warranty until 2027, is it worth to get used psu like this? even brand new cx550m cost 77$ here btw corsair hx vs rmx which one better?
  7. anyway after some debating with my friend (EA550G vs pp11)he ended up with this answer "I still don't recommend using pp11. pp11 topology is still active clamp reset forward, which is only a modification of the single forward topology. efficiency has increased dramatically, but the transient response is still weaker than resonant-HB LLC, especially the resonant LLC-FB so the two will be messed up. seasonic focus due to aggressive protection settings, FSP raider because of design but the problems in seasonic can be overcome by the manufacturer with a little tweaking. on fsp? can't do it. must replace the new platform"
  8. i showed your answer to my friend that recomended ea550g and he said this "if you use vega56, I still don't recommend using pp11. pp11 topology is still active clamp reset forward, which is only a modification of the single forward topology. efficiency has increased dramatically, but the transient response is still weaker than resonant-HB LLC, especially the resonant LLC-FB so the two will be messed up. seasonic focus due to aggressive protection settings, FSP raider because of design but the problems in seasonic can be overcome by the manufacturer with a little tweaking. on fsp? can't do it. must replace the new platform"
  9. rx 580. i think im going to buy pp11 anyway because its cheaper and most people in LTT recommend it
  10. pp11 500w vs EA550G pro (seasonic). which one is better? im about to buy the pp11 but my friend told me that pp11 are just tweaked pp10 which is not worth it, is it true?
  11. pp11 500w vs EA550G pro (seasonic). which one is better? im about to buy the pp11 but my friend told me that pp11 are just tweaked pp10 which is not worth it, is it true?
  12. ok seems like everyone favor pp11. the non CM version are equally as good right?
  13. im on south east asia. corsair stuff are very expensive here. anyway what about antec EA550G (oem from seasonic focus gold) for 82$ or whisper m 550w for 92$
  14. my system is i5 6600k + rx 580. probably upgrade to ryzen 7 3000 series when available. which one is most worth it? 1.used evga 850GQ for 65$ 2.bequeit pure power 11 500w for 76$ 3.leadex silver 550w for 71$ 4.evga 450gd for 53$ 5.cougar gx s 550w for 72$ i planned to get the used 850GQ but i saw amazon reviews and it has lot negative review. some people fried their fans and fan hub because of that psu. also some people had popping caps etc
  15. evga gq and gd whats the difference other than modularity? because i can get a used 850GQ for 10$ more than new 450GD
  16. does evga 450 gd does that too? because i never bothered by a loud fan. but im suffered when theres an old phone charger plugged in next room because i can hear the very high pitched noise while others mostly wont notice.
  17. https://translate.google.com/translate?sl=zh-CN&tl=en&u=http%3A%2F%2Fcoolpc.com.tw%2FphpBB2%2Fviewtopic.php%3Ff%3D69%26t%3D234830 original link in chinese: http://coolpc.com.tw/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?f=69&t=234830 the fan rated at 33db, how loud is it?
  18. evga 450gd cost 53$ whisper bwg550m cost 92$ is it worth to get the whisper instead of evga? what does make whisper much more expensive other than wattage and modularity?
  19. anyway i got a question from my friend cougar vte any thoughts? what tier is it? https://cougargaming.com/us/products/psus/vte/ its dc-dc and has a pretty strong single rail 12v. its cost 40$ for 400w which is pretty cheap
  20. yes i mean 2700x and rx 580 are worst case scenario. "decent PSUs should have no issue outputting 100% of the power 24/7." so even rtx 2080 + i9 9900k which consume about 420ish watt should be fine for evga 450GD?
  21. 2700x=105w rx 580 oc'ed=235w 5fan and 2 hdd = 40w total=380w , which means it give 85% load at the psu, it is fine for the long term?
  22. if i upgrade to something like 2700x + rtx 2060 it should still has some room for oc right?
  23. evga 450gd for a i5 6600k and rx 580 is it fine or should i go higher watts?
