I love watching Linus's videos. Now I am working on a interesting project to upgrade the USB 2.0 laptop which has eSATA slot to enable USB 3.0.
Laptop: HP Pavilion dv6 3004tu
I have done some basic search on the internet to upgrade laptop to usb 2 to 3. So as per my findings my laptop has eSATA usb slot but sadly there is no "express card" slot which help me to upgrade laptop using the Express card to usb 3 adapter. But now I have found that eSATA is much faster than express card and I have eSATA slot free on my laptop. I have never used eSATA slot in my laptop.
So the tools which I am gonna use is the eSATA cable to usb 3.0 converter cable and one female usb 3 to male usb 3.0 connector.
Guys I need your tech skills and knowledge to perform this project before doing anything wrong to my laptop. Suggestions needed.
