How big of a performance hit would it be if i were to run it at x4 speed? i plan to do dual 3090's..

i'm trying to find a motherboard with more than 1 x16 pcie slot that runs at x16 speed. my current board is a gigabye z590 UD, it has multiple full size slots, but only one is x16. I want to do dual GPU's for rendering but i'm worried about the performance loss of my 2nd slot running at x4 speed. I need at least 2 nvme slots, if possible. i don't know if they're a thing or not. the boards i've been finding with nvme slots only have one x16 slot. Specs: i9-11900k RTX 3090 32gb DDR4 2x NVME SSDs

The pump is powered and working, it just seems it isn't cooling the water enough, or maybe the flow isn't enough? The one tube will get hot and the radiator's air is hot as well. I had originally thought about that and had sent it back for a replacement but its doing the exact same as the last one did.

I have a kinda junky AIO currently, i was recommended the arctic liquid freezer ii 280 and i regret buying it. my temps immediately spike and will sit around 90-100c (Has hit 110c at one point) I'm looking for a good AIO preferably or a good air cooler that will keep my 11900k tame, i want to do a little overclocking nothing insane with it. it will idle at around 37-41c but as soon as i put the slightest load it spikes up immediately. i made sure the thermal paste is indeed applied correctly and have re-applied multiple times and mounted with different pressure to see if it was a mounting issue and its not so my last option is the cooler itself.

it was some time later, this is the first time i've ever seen this issue in my years of using computers, i tried in safemode and it still does it in there as well..

Nope, i haven't really even downloaded anything on it, i scan every week or so and theres nothing found, i rarely ever get a virus or malware. the install is quite fresh, i installed windows on this drive around a week or two ago when i got it. Everything has been reseated and reconnected, i don't notice anything unseated or what would look to be a problem

i somewhat figured with the power plan just because i've always done it throughout my years of using PC's. Cpu barely hits 10-12%, gpu doesn't do much more than 5% as i'm not stressing it with really anything unless i go into a game, then the cpu will go up to around 25-40% (usually below that when gaming but will spike) And the gpu with the games i run its always pegged at 99 - 100%. it lags without even gaming, just on like firefox, opening start menu, etc.

What should the power plan be? i have it set to high performance, i tinker with the settings so it doesn't turn off the drives or go into sleep, or hibernation. My bios is the latest provided

So, i noticed now a few times this has happened, i can be doing things normally on my PC, gaming, rendering and browsing the web all is fine and good for hours on end, but as soon as i let my PC idle for a while like maybe i get up and get some food or something when i come back to my PC its extremely laggy. its as if i were to underclock my cpu to like 1ghz or if i was using only one core. its really annoying and i'm forced to reboot to get the lag to stop.. If there's anything i could do to fix this i'll try anything. i checked to ensure my cpu wasn't actually just dropping the frequency and it wasn't. it sits at 4.9 - 5.3 ghz My specs: Windows 11 pro build 22621 i9-11900k 32gb hyperx fury (i forget the speed of it) 500gb samsung 960 EVO nvme RTX 3060 12gb

Not too sure why but my cpu was being locked to aroung 1.5ghz even though i was overclocking. core speed across all cores wouldn't change even though task manager showed 4ghz and amd overdrive showed the overclock. CPU-Z Showed it as 1.5ghz, so i tried overclocking via bios and nothing changed. i reset the cmos and now its working fine again! Thanks!! the cpu for some reason was being throttled or something and i have no clue why.. considering the bios has always been set to default other than some boot order changes or when i try to overclock, when it fails the overclock it just resets to default values anyway.. soo i have no idea on that but its working now!

Yes, i tried putting more load towards the gpu, maxing out the games in 1440p and 4k, but it doesn't take any load off the cpu, it only increases the gpu's usage and the fps remains the same.. With the overclock, 4.5ghz is barely stable, i set to 1.45v, if i go any higher it won't work, i can't OC in bios at all, i have to use amd overdrive to OC my cpu and its voltage, when i change the voltage even by the slightest amount it refuses to post, setting past 1.45v just results in a bluescreen, if i go any lower it bluescreens, i've tried 4.6ghz but as soon as i put load on it then windows crashes.. I'd be willing to do the bios mod, do you have any recommendations on what to get for it?

So.. i'm probably going to be criticized for my specs but its been working fine for what i need so i don't care lol Well, suddenly games like GTA V, RDR2, Dirt 5, Far cry 6 and so on have been extremely laggy these past couple of days even cranking them down to the lowest settings and it lags horribly. GTA V, i could play it maxed out with the natural vision graphics mod around 90-100fps, RDR2, high to maxed out around 70ish and so on, but now games are sitting around 20fps or less with the lowest settings. Nothing has updated or changed since i was last playing at higher fps.. What gives? my cpu usage in gta v is sitting around 80 - 100 % whilst my gpu is barely hitting 10% usage the others my cpu and gpu are both reaching near 100%. I've gone as far as overclocking the cpu and gpu both to see if it would gain any performance and it did absolutely nothing aside from getting hotter. the fps didn't change at all. My specs: AMD FX8370 RTX 3060 12gb 16gb ddr3 1600mhz ASUS m5a99x evo r2.0 EVGA 600w (Yes i know the gpu is bottlenecked and i don't really mind it, it run amazing 90% of the time)

About 30 minutes after i posted this, My 780Ti Died on me... Horrible timing.. LOL.. Definitely getting rid of this power supply.. It's by KDM power, But labelled as a "Mi PC" which is kind of confusing but oh well.. shouldn't have paid $40 USD for this thing

I have a KDM Power 775w power supply in my system, 3 fans, 2 HDD's, an i3 3220, And a GTX 780 Ti. When my cpu and gpu both are under load the pc shuts down as if i just unplugged it. The gpu is at stock clocks, the cpu is a little overclocked 3.6Ghz (3.30 is stock) Is this taking too much power or what? I've had a few power supplies in the past, a 350w without the GTX 780 ti and it was perfectly fine, until i had gotten the gpu and it had burnt out the psu when it was under heavy load, it'd get hot and smell like burnt plastic. This current power supply gets a little warm but not alarmingly warm.. Any ideas? Thanks.

Hyper-V isn't even installed on my system.. I'm running windows 10 Home I tried disabling it and following that link with no avail, I looked up on how to disable it, From what others are saying its not compatible with home?

Okay so, I have a core i3 3220 Overclocked to 3.6GHz, Task manager doesn't show the overclock speed, Nor does it even hit base clock, The cpu stays around 2.3-3.0GHz... When under 100% load it still doesn't even hit base speed (3.30Ghz) Other tools Show 3.6GHz even under no stress. Bios shows 3.6GHz as well.. Any ideas?

Old and horrible i7 620, The windows updates installs a broken driver for my card, it installs the latest which never worked in the first place.. So thats out of the option LOL.. i managed a 266.77 driver but it stays at a black screen until the computer shuts off.. So that doesn't work either.. The card DOES work on a different computer but just not this one anymore

Hopefully that isn't the case, I'm stuck with what I got.. Don't know why it randomly decided to break, was in the middle of a game and it told me there was an issue with the driver and after a reboot the driver completely failed and Nvidia installer won't detect my card anymore.. if there's anything that could help, that would be much appreciated.

The issue is, The driver started to crash, After attempting to reinstall it then it says there's no compatible hardware for that driver... Device manager shows the card but there's no driver installed for it.. So i don't know really what to do.. The card works in another computer without issues but not on this computer anymore..

i use it for gaming and also video editing, It was working fine on driver 306.97(i believe it was that one) And my intel HD is wayyyy too slow for gaming or anything like that.. the default driver from windows doesn't work on the card and it just goes back to the Basic display driver thing in windows and also breaking the Intel HD's driver

Okay, So this has been a long road of trial and error with this Geforce 210 1gb card, I tried the latest driver from NVIDIA and it leaves me at a black screen.. I have Intel HD graphics and Geforce 210, I've tried 5 or 6 different drivers for this card and none are letting it work.. It sits at a black screen until the driver crashes and goes to Basic display driver I'm on windows 10 x64 Thanks.. (I know this is an old card but it's the best i can afford LOL)
