  1. Ok, I'll test out the current dock asap, then may explore this one. Thank you
  2. I don't know if it's worth mentioning but I did find this during my research https://www.amazon.co.uk/i-tec-Universal-Display-Docking-Station/dp/B075ND6FQ9/ It seems to suggest that this is cross compatible with TB3 and USB-C, do I understand this wrong?
  3. I've not tested anything yet, I wasn't sure if plugging it in was a good idea not being familiar with Macs. I'm just waiting on getting it back from the IT department before I can test though.
  4. Thank you for your reply. Does that mean I'll need two docks and hdmi switchers?
  5. Hello I've been researching plenty but I'm beginning to get a little lost with how best to resolve a set up issue I have. Below is my current set up provided by the company I work for. Lenovo E570 (i7-7500U, 16GB, 256GB nvme, 980GTX) Lenovo USB-C Dock 40A9 2 x 246V Philips 24" HDMI + VGA Monitors Desk space is 6ft x 2.5ft with almost nothing on it, both monitors are on a shared stand, I have a phone, the dock (laptop is on a drawer set under the desk), keyboard and mouse. Cable holes on both sides but only one used for the dock cable, power, network etc. Currently I come into the office plug my laptop into the dock with the single USB C cable and I'm done, this is the kind of functionality I like and would like to keep if possible. My problem is I'm being given a 2018 Macbook Air in addition to the laptop to do work on both. I'm not overly familiar with Macbooks so this is why I'm getting lost. First, can I use the 2018 Air on two monitors like a currently do, lid closed with two monitors on extended desktop? Also will these monitors work with the Air. Second, what solutions are there to have the two systems on the same monitors (not at the same time) that's not going to break the bank and has as little wiring mess as possible. I don't mind switching cables in the dock/s or laptops to swap systems, I wont be doing this much throughout the day, but would like to keep it as clean as possible. I've looked into kvms, hdmi switchers, universal docks, two separate docks but it's a little overwhelming. Can anyone give me a little guidance? Thank you
