  1. It seems like the manufacturer has advice on how to do it, see https://www.waterpik.com/oral-health/product-support/articles/how-to-clean-waterpik-water-flosser-vinegar/
  2. I also think that it looks rushed, I am sure Alex can do much better than that. Fixing the leaks is something that should obviously have been done before. Some people even test their loops with air (and an appropriate pump) before filling them with water, which avoids dangerous oopsies. Comparing temperatures with the previous setup is also problematic, since there is no way that thermal equilibrium was reached due to the large amount of water present in the loop (and the constant need for refilling doesn't help either...).
  3. Collab with Lyle when? /s And RIP sponsors I guess.
  4. Thrustmaster Airbus Sidestick inspired controller, I use it with Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020.
  5. I replaced my case's rubber feet with small wooden IKEA legs from the BESTA series (M8 screw with M8 nut). My case is not on the floor but on my desk, but I still wanted my PSU to get better ventilation.
  6. Some people just like to impose their way of life on other people. That group happens to intersect with many other groups, including vegetarians/vegans. Sorry to hear about your experience, I hope it made not think you less of vegetarians/vegans in general.
  7. Nice drive although out of range of most consumers and small enterprises I guess. One question though: Was the drive name chosen by LMG's new social media coordinator? (Seems that could be a possibility...)
  8. Your microwave oven has a resonating chamber into which microwave radiation generated by a magnetron is being sent. Those waves then bounce off the chamber's wall. These walls are the walls of the interior of the microwave and the mesh in the door. The microwave oven's outer metal casing (part of which seems to be damaged in your case) is not made to protect against radiation but rather to house the components of the microwave (magnetron, high voltage transformer, large capacitor etc). Judging from the pictures you posted, you should be fine although you could still use a measurement device just to be on the safe side. Just keep in mind that you will always see some small leakage, but that is not considered to be harmful in any way at the maximum level allowed by regulations.
  9. I speak French (I am not a native speaker, but I went to a French school with a French curriculum) and I don't recognize anything that sounds like French in there. To me, it sounds like a mix of different accents found in the UK mixed with a bit of Vulcan (from Star Trek).
  10. That depends on the languages you are speaking. Der8auer has already been mentioned, he also makes English versions of his videos. I also like Igor's Lab, which is in German on youtube, but the (very detailed) articles on his website are also available in English.
  11. Probably Linus is trying to get that money back by selling those Live Laugh Liao shirts on lttstore.com... Honestly, considering that Intel sponsored this upgrade, the only thing that would have made it worse is if Dennis had asked for "Intel Ryzen", "Intel Threadripper" or something...
  12. The person most of the time living in the same apartment/house, which is something you are being reminded of every once in a while (during internet failures or blackouts) /s
  13. I also think this is a very large amount. While there are people who can tolerate a lot of caffeine, there are also those who cannot (at least not to that extent). I would recommend OP to watch out for signs of caffeine poisoning and when in doubt to ask a physician, just to be on the safe side.
  14. No, that shouldn't be the case at all. Are you sure you connected it to a proper ground? Otherwise there might be something wrong with the electrical wiring, in which case I wouldn't recommend using the strap. By the way, properly built straps have a large resistor built in that should protect you from harm even when connected to an improper ground, but don't count on it
  15. From my experience, milder roasts tend to have more acidity and less bitterness than darker roasts, so that along with possibly the weaker brews might explain why the second and third brews still taste fine. I once tried a dark roast that even tasted a bit like charcoal, so there is quite a large spectrum there. Just out of curiosity, do you like coffee because of the taste, because of its effects (caffeine), both? Do you drink black coffee or do you add milk? Milk tends to mask parts of the taste, that's why I always try an espresso when deciding which type of coffee beans to buy.
  16. I am using a different method of making coffee (portafilter) and I notice that coffee gets a very bitter taste in case of overextraction. That bitter taste also appears if already extracted coffee grains remained in the system since the last brewing cycle. As others have stated, I also think that you might be using so much coffee that the second and third extracts still are good. Just be careful not to leave coffee ground for too long after the first extraction as they might get moldy quite quickly (I have noticed it because I sometimes keep coffee grounds for later use as a plant fertilizer or to protect plants from getting eaten by snails).
  17. Thanks for the link, but unfortunately that article seems to be stuck behind a paywall so I cannot access it. The claims made in the abstract about 5G are nothing new, but I am not aware of any reputable study that confirms those. Since I cannot access the article, I cannot have a look at their methodology or at a section disclosing potential conflicts of interest, which is very important for assessing the credibility of such a publication.
  18. Cool, then do the Luke move (submerge the PC in oil) and the mesh looks like a deep fryer basket... /s
  19. Being an electrical engineer, I honestly don't know where to start here. The only useful thing you could do with that (besides using it as a paper holder as it was originally meant to) is to do another collab with ElectroBOOM...
  20. I had mixed feelings on the ROG rig reboot video, it was both funny and tragic at the same time (if that makes sense). Since LMG staff must have gotten to know her quite well by now, I assume that they have an idea of whether she might fit into the team or not, so let's see what the future brings. Although she will probably do most of her work off-camera, I can imagine seeing her on Channel Super Fun (desgining a crazy outfit for Linus that he has to wear in public if he loses a bet for example?) or maybe on Carpool Critics.
  21. I also don't use lotion before shaving (not even after shaving). I am also using a Philips rotary shaver. From my experience, just spraying water on it doesn't really clean it in the long run. You should remove the 3 heads and clean them with soap and water. hat also works (but probably is not intended to be done by the manufacturer, so do it at your own risk) is to put the rotary head into a cup and cover it with a 3% hydrogen peroxide solution from the pharmacy (just enough to cover the rotary head in order not to waste too much solution). Let it sit for about an hour. It bubbles a bit and after a while I can see small bits of dirt in the solution that were previously stuck in the shaver head.
  22. Does it have to be a cold drink? Just asking because it is easy to mix alcoholic beverages into tea or coffee (example: rum, bayleys,...) without it looking suspicious at all. I have not heard of artificial sweeteners and alcohol making a mess together, but I am not an expert on this. I guess there will be commercial products with both available, so if that's the case it should be safe.
  23. Looking at the floor plan, I can understand that kitchen/living room layout is not easy to figure out. For the following, I am assuming that water outlets/drain and power sockets/gas outlets are positioned so that the suggested layout shown on the floor plan works. I guess LL is the washing machine, LV the dishwasher and CUI the stove. Maybe you could put the washing machine in the small compartment next to the kitchen (labeled "Cellier") if you can get water pipes, drain pipes and power cables to reach that area safely. That should alleviate the issue of having a washing machine directly in the kitchen.
  24. I don't know how this is done in your country, but here any "pure" ethanol you can buy is diluted on purpose so that it is not fit for consumption (with the exception of ethanol supplied to pharmacies, doctors and medical facilities, but that is tightly controlled). Methanol should be avoided altogether. Instead of drinking pure Vodka or buying some falvour version of it, why don't you just mix it to taste with, for example, bitter lemon, cranberry etc. Whiskey and Bourbon also can be mixed with other non-alcoholic beverages, maybe you'll find a combination you like. One example of an innocuous drink for a zoom call would be whiskey-cola because it should look like regular coca cola.
