  1. This is my oldschool Asus Mx279 1080p IPS. I think it doesn't have much if any backlight bleed. Correct me if i'm wrong
  2. This is my oldschool Asus MX279 Ips 1080p. I just did it to compare
  3. Hey guys.. I just got this 27 ASUS ROG Swift Z version and I am not sure if it has any backlight bleed or if that's just IPS glow.
  4. Good to know bro ty.. This past month I put together an i9-9900k build and thought I'd upgrade my 4 yr old 1080p monitor. I was kinda stunned when i saw this one bleeding so badly.. My 27 inch 1080 that I purchased for like $180 has no backlight bleed whatsoever. When I bought this 32 inch Acer I had them test the monitor for dead pixels at the store and there weren't any but they couldn't check for backlight bleed because of the lights in the store... I think i'll just exchange this 32 acer for the well renowned ASUS ROG SWIFT 27 inches IPS panel.. Btw, Is there a way to check for backlight bleed in a well lit store? Not sure how to go about that. Microcenter is a 3 hour drive each way which will add up in gas + tolls.
  5. Bought this Monitor kinda on the WHIM... Thought it was an IPS panel... I will return. Thanks for your help guys
  6. It's https://www.microcenter.com/product/503503/predator-z321qu-315-wqhd-165hz-hdmi-dp-g-sync-curved-gaming-led-monitor I can't tell yet whether it's bad or not, for me.. My eyes aren't 20/20 anymore and i don't pay too much attention to detail. However my 4 yr old 27 inch MX279 ASUS has virtually no light spots and it only ran me like $180.... Not sure what to do yet... I literally hooked it up like 2 hours ago and saw this.. I'm disappointed.
  7. Hi guys.. Today I purchased an Acer Predator 31.5 inches 2k IPS panel from Microcenter for $700 with their 2 year replacement warranty. It has no dead pixels but some backlight bleed. I don't know how severe it is though. My 27 inch Asus MX279 has absolutely no backlight bleed whatsoever and it only cost me $180. Served me for 4 yrs but I decided to upgrade to slightly bigger panel, the Acer Predator. It this considered bad backlight bleed? Please help.. Thanks
