I get it, Russian propaganda is bad. However, this is a VERY slippery slope, I mean, what will they censure next? Will it be based upon their own geo political views? IMO, their job is to serve the information and allow the end user to decide.

We're definitely not there with battery tech. I'm still sceptical of electric vehicles genuinely being the future without a major breakthrough in battery tech, making them last significantly longer (in terms of life span, not just capacity) and less "dirty" to make.

I feel like if we continue down the current path without any major developments, we'll run into massive problems and shortages due to the materials required to make so many electric vehicles.

The problem with hybrid vehicles (at least here in the U.S.) is selection is very limited. Sure, I can find a subcompact prius for around $25k that will provide basic transportation. However, if I want something like a tesla or a rav4 hybrid, I will need to shell out $40k usd and pray there are charging stations when I go on a long trip with the tesla.

I dislike the slippery slope argument usually BUT....

Who exactly gets to decide what is and isn't misinformation? What evidence is that person using to make that decision? Isn't the entire concept of misinformation subjective?

We've seen it time and time again, apparent good faith changes that usually end in catastrophe because the wrong person was put in charge of the wrong thing, human bias kicked in and things were done that shouldn't have been.

Yes they should be trying to keep on top of SEO manipulation however a human actively choosing what is and isn't shown is going a bit too far. Just like there is no unbiased search engines, there are no unbiased people as well.

duck duck go has been going downhill for some time now, not surprised that they are outright censoring now.

this is dangerous though, no matter where you align politically. who decides what the "standards" are? you may agree with them one day, then disagree the next. i agree with op that information should be freely given, and allow people to decide for themselves.

It's a shame because it seemed to be the best mobile browser while (supposedly) protecting your data and not skewing search results.

I suppose the question to ask is do they have a duty to make sure the information the search engine provides meets some kind of standard or not and if so to what degree?

How much do you know the microSD requirements? Do you think what I have is adequate to run the OS and apps? "64GB SanDisk UltraPlus with U1 speed rating"

Your only real option imo would be linux and it's either a 'love it' or 'hate it' os for a lot of people.

I've always just backed everything up reinstalled windows when my system becomes sluggish for no apparent reason and it's snappy again for awhile.

Did you log out of the desktop environment before launching retropie?

Have you made sure that you have increased the amount of RAM allocated to the GPU before installing retropie as that is required when doing a manual install (this is the reason why using the standalone setup is better since it is already configured out of the box).

I hate to say it, but Linus would be manhandled by a multinational corporation with almost unlimited resources. I guess if Nintendo pissed LTT fans off, they'd be facing a bit of backlash.

Edit: I was providing 'wishful thinking' You're probably 100% correct. To Ninendo, this would be the equivelent of an annoying housefly they can swat at will, but choose to simply ignore. For the record though, Nintendo has been know to go after individuals for lesser infringents.

This is something that's engrained in Japanese culture to take actions of this kind IF they think they've been cheated, infringed upon and so on - Even if they actually know they'll lose.
It's referred to as "Saving Face" in their culture so whether LMG has actually done something wrong or not, if they think they've been "Insulted" by someone trying to take advantage of them or their work they'll at least try it.

It's not unlike when you see parodies of anime programs done and a Japanese corp will try to have the parody taken down from YouTube as an example of it. Even if it's only a parody and is protected by law as it's written, they still have to try regardless even if they lose repeatedly.....
Which has happened in a few cases of such, the SAO Abridged vids done by SWE being a good example of this.

Even though SWE won repeatedly for the same legal reasons Sony would go after them each and everytime to try and accomplish the same thing, which in their case means they were "Insulted" by SWE's parody of their work and they had to at least try to maintain the respect they have or that is, "Save Face" to their peers.

    So....
It's not a matter of them being "Dumb Enough", it's what they have to do according to their culture.
If they decide to come after LMG over what could be perceived as an insult, don't be suprised about it in the least.

You're giving LTT fans waaaaaay too much credit. Not only would that mean they have to do something (the small overall number that would be upset by this), but you're also assuming that Nintendo, a massive multinational corporation based in Japan cares at all about some random fans of a semi-famous Canadian Youtuber.

Hell even a boycot of Nintendo by LTT fans would only last as long as the next release cycle of consoles and games.

LMG would not stand a chance against a multi-national corporation's legal resources. He could win but they would still bleed him dry in fees. Just being realistic.
