  1. I use a tp link ax 1800. It is a budget wifi 6 router which includes a usb 2.0 port to connect an external hdd. It works well for our needs but transfer speeds may be a bit slow for your liking with usb 2.0. A Netgear nighthawk r7000 is another reliable budget router and it includes a usb 3.0 port for faster transfer speeds. However, it is wifi 5.

    1 act practice test. -_-

I'll be happy never to see that exam again in my lifetime.
  3. I used to gently apply and then remove a piece of scotch tape to clean my oculus lenses. It seemed to remove oil and dust pretty well. Just be very careful to apply it straight on and pull straight off without allowing the tape to shift. It seemed to work a lot better than using the cleaning wipes.
  4. If I'm understanding your question correctly, I guess you could run windows in a vm window and move it to the top half of the monitor. You'll probably have to finagle with the vm resolution.
  5. I'd look at the boot order in uefi. Make sure the ssd is #1 on the boot order list.
  6. I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure it does work for nvidia gpus as well.
  7. Go to the microsoft website and download the media creation tool. Then boot off of the usb (you'll have to change the boot sequence in uefi) and select 'Repair' It may or may not be recoverable...
  8. I must have misread, I could have sworn you posted that you've backed your drive up... Try a recovery usb using the MS media creation tool to boot and select 'repair'
  9. The most straightfoward solution if you're confident the ssd has an OS and the boot sequence is correct would be to reinstall windows from a usb. Sounds like the mbr may be corrupted.
  10. I don't think that is a supported game as I'm not seeing it on the list. I'd suggest going to the graphics settings within the game and see if you can find 'FSR'
  11. Your pci-e slots aren't gen 1... Your main issue with upgrading the gpu will be the cpu bottlenecking...especially with 1080p resolutions that are usually highly dependent on the cpu. You COULD upgrade to a rx 6600xt and use it again later on after you build a new system. However, I doubt your gpu will ever hit 100% utilization with that cpu.
  12. Based on what I've read, it's dependent upon the game. It would be a setting in the game menu if it's supported. Here is a list I've found. https://www.okaygotcha.com/2021/12/amd-fsr-compatible-games.html?m=1
  13. Also, the fact MS in their infinite wisdom is abandoning many existing Windows users with an OS that won't run on a system older than 3 years (that doesn't have tpm 2.0) looks a lot like MS is giving customers the middle finger. Maybe MS has since made the requirements less restrictive, I just don't much care to check after being underwhelmed by Win 11 in the first place.
  14. That was one of my main gripes, the 'new and improved' start menu seemed to make it even HARDER to access the apps you want.
  15. I tried it for a while on a ryzen 5 1600 af using the tpm 2.0 workaround. It worked until it didn't. After about 2 months, I was receiving bsod at boot (probably due to an update conflict) Anyways, there really wasn't any 'must have' feature that win 11 offered and file manager taking 15 seconds to respond was utterly annoying. I reverted back to win 10 and have no reason to change as it works perfectly.
  16. That's a halfway decent price for a new 144hz 24" monitor....you could probably shop around or check out best buy specials and find a comparable monitor for $20-$30 cheaper.
  17. I'm just curious if anybody else (who uses DEX on a galaxy phone) has experienced this. The mouse cursor will randomly disappear when watching something like a news or youtube video only to be visible on the title bar and far edges of the screen. Even when I go back to google, the cursor will only be viewable on the far edges and I will be forced to restart the browser. This happens in Chrome, Firefox, Opera, Brave and Vivaldi. Thanks
  18. I am not arguing that deprioritizing Russian propaganda is a bad thing. However, as I and several others have stated, this is a very slippery slope. It is all too easy for a corporation to see a certain political side as 'evil' or 'misinformed' and therefore label everything they say as 'disinformation'. This often is based on the cancel culture we are currently living in...ban the speech from the people we don't like or we will boycott and harass you into submission...Of course there ARE situations where hate speech that presents a danger to society should be banned. You keep mentioning that you feel my posts are politically based. To an extent, they are. In my opinion, it is imperative that (American) society have free speech to share information, even if a certain group dislikes this information. And yes this includes information that goes against my personal beliefs as well. I have faith that the majority of my fellow neighbors will do their research and come to an intelligent conclusion without a tech corporation skewing results and essentially making the decision for them. They are playing a dangerous game when it comes to information gatekeeping.
  19. And that really is my point. It is a bit troubling to me that these corporations, who often donate heavily to specific political parties get to decide what we are allowed to see and not see. It almost sounds like a conflict of interest, but what do I know...
  20. Yes, I am fully aware of how google skews results. Do I understand HOW it works? No, and I'd venture to say 99% of the world has no clue either. I also understand filtering out the garbage results. In the case of google and others, it has been revealed that they've skewed search results on known political opponents/allies and movements. This is not banning disinformation, this is banning information they don't like. The issue I have is these algorthms are written by people with their own political beliefs.
  21. When any search engine owned by a partisan corporation with biases of their own filter the results it doesn't want you to see based on politics, it absolutely is. Corporations serving as information 'gatekeepers' is a very dangerous thing.
