  1. Wow. Now I've heard everything. Sounds like a pretty lame excuse to justify twitters past behavior when it comes to banning free speech that may hurt one's feeeelings. Yes, I agree that blatantly racist attacks deserve a ban, but it's to the point where just about everything the opposition says is, by default labeled as hate speech It's pretty astonishing watching Brian Stelter and MSNBC (with a straight face) tell the world how Elon taking over twitter is all of a sudden a threat to the American election. I seem to recall Hunter Bidens laptop story being banned on social media weeks before the election. Now we are finding out that the story is turning out to be true...but, of course too little too late.
  2. Back to the Future...The music, the car and the scene where he controls the Delorian via remote control really got me riled up as an 80's kid...LOL
  3. My $5 rpi zero runs Sonic as well as the original console...LOL
  4. I doubt that will happen, he's already talking trash about Trump's new social platform (which is meant to be a Twitter alternative). He loves the competition.

My teacher just told a student that the shorter…

I guess your teacher may technically be correct...assuming there is less resistance with said (shorter) cable. The time you 'save' charging would probably be negligible.
  6. I believe the PSU controls HOW the electricity is delivered to the components. I've never heard of a 'US' or 'India' spec'd components, so I'm 99% sure you're fine.
  7. Hi, I am dabbling in mining with very low expectations using a single gpu (RX 5700), but this is more out of curiosity that will probably last a few weeks until I get bored. I'm currently using minerstat and atomic wallet mining ethereum. I have copied and pasted the ETH address from atomicwallet into minerstat under the 'address editor' option. Even if I continuously hit refresh in atomic wallet, my balance still shows as zero. I do see the message stating 'estimated time to reach the payout limit', will the balance not be updated until I mine .01 ETH (min payout)? Sorry if this is a really silly question, I'm pretty clueless about this since I've only been doing this for a week so far...
  8. We had spectrum...they were beyond terrible. Intermittent outages, speeds that were way less than advertised and horrendous customer service. I don't know if you have other options where you live, but if you do, run as fast as you can. Otherwise, call and demand they prorate your bill and fix the issue. Spectrum once had a monopoly where I live and after our local govt received thousands of complaints, built the infrastructure for a fiber isp to come in as competition. It's like night and day with this new isp. I believe Spectrum is becoming desperate, they have sales people stationed at just about every wal mart in my town. I always tell them I'd volunteer for a colonoscopy before going back to them.
  9. Here are your options that I am aware of.. 1) In BIOS, disable USB devices from the Boot Order/Boot Sequence. If this does not work or your bios does not allow you to remove usb devices from the boot order... 2) You may need to remove the active flag from the partition. Assuming you are using windows, you would run diskpart, then type: Type ‘list disk’ Type ‘select disk 1’ (be very sure you have selected the usb drive!!!) Type ‘select partition 1’ Type ‘inactive’
  10. What is your boot order set at in bios? If a usb drive is assigned as the first device, it will always first try to boot from it whenever it is plugged in
  11. Would you consider a ryzen 5 5600g? I believe this apu is a bit more powerful than a dedicated gt 1030 gpu and would provide for a more compact build.
  12. Yes, but I'd venture to state that most average users don't care to mess with potentially bricking their phone by rooting or install sometimes sketchy third party software.
  13. I have a RX 5700 (non xt) and am really tempted to upgrade. I, like you only have a 1080 monitor but it would be nice to have something that can handle 4k in the future. Since I lean towards AMD over NVidia, I'd go with a 6900 XT if money permits.
  14. I wouldn't expect to earn much with a single GPU...GPU mining is kind of in its dying phase. I dabbled in mining ethereum with a RX 5700 and earned about $10 a week after factoring in electricity costs. I knew going in that this wasn't going to pull much income, but it was mainly for science =)
  15. Personally, I wouldn't go older than a S20 or an iphone 11. You also need to look at how long support will continue. If you're buying a phone that is 2-3 years old, you may only get a couple of years of software updates. Once you stop receiving updates, you are at a higher risk of your data being compromised if you continue using it.

Replacing the wipers on my brand new Jetta beca…

Yes, love the android features too. I'm not sure what you mean by driver display controls. The menus were a little confusing at first, but like you, I now have thrm memorized.
  17. A 3500x will be a huge upgrade over your 2200g and should pair nicely with a mid grade gpu in the future.

Replacing the wipers on my brand new Jetta beca…

I just have the 's'. On the interstate, eco is okay but there were a few times around town when I stepped on the accelerator and the car felt like it was stuck in 7th or 8th gear...absolutely no power, to the point where it was potentially dangerous. In regular or sport mode, it's fine. The car is quite lively for a compact.
  19. If your cpu is able to do what you need it to do right now, I'd wait. I am using a ryzen 5 1600 af (basically a 2600) paired with a rx 5700 and I can't talk myself into spending the money for an upgrade. It plays every 1080 game I throw at it at 60+ fps. Of course, I only have 60 hz 1080p monitors, so I'd have to upgrade those as well to see any real benefit.

Replacing the wipers on my brand new Jetta beca…

About a year ago, I installed a jb4 tuner. It's basically plug and play. There is a definite increase in low end torque up to about 4k rpm. I'm not going to be roasting mustangs, but it's quite a bit more lively. Even my wife noticed it when she drove it awhile back. Only downside is it requires 93 octane. It's super easy to unplug at any time while gas is $5 a gallon. Eco mode still works (and feels just as sluggish) mpg does not seem to be affected unless I romp on the gas pedal. I'd definitely recommend it, this is how jettas should run stock.
  21. My wife and I have a ton of old dvds and cd's but they rarely work when it comes to old pc games and apps. Neither one of our vehicles have a cd player, so the music cds are just collecting dust. Over half of our movie collection can be found on netflix or hulu which is a lot more convenient than the trouble of having to stand up, remove the dvd, inserting it into our xbox and hitting play...LOL

Replacing the wipers on my brand new Jetta beca…

I actually like the J-hook design...LOL. Probably because that is what I'm used to. I haven't noticed any wiper squeaks with the new blades but I usially run them until they literally are falling apart. This car is awesome as far as fuel economy. I achieved 48 mpg on a 500 mile trip to NY on the interstate. This is almost hybrid territory. Around town, I love the peppiness and low end torque, so I romp on it a little.
